The best shooter of all time, one of the top 5 current shooters, and above average shooters at the other 3 positions who can slash and guard anyone. Yeah, why aren't more teams copying that?

Especially in college basketball where there is less spacing, more physical defense, and the ability to plant a shot blocker in the paint for an entire possession. I think more teams should copy the 2012 UK team. Just get a bulldog PG, veteran versatile wing, dead-eye best 3 point shooter in school history, strong physical PF with touch and decent outside shot, certified witch, and a #2 overall pick glue guy and defensive stopper. Pretty easy formula, honestly

More than one way to win a championship. We keep banging at the door (recruit like gang busters) we will break through again. We have had some ****** luck in the tourney.

Putting aside the jokes about UNC for a minute, how about that game plan by Jay Wright? Not sure I can recall a game all year where UNC looked as frustrated and taken out of their comfort zone as what Nova did to them last night. Perfect plan and execution.

Under Cal we've had to absolutely earn our way into every F4/title game each step of the way. Just once can we play like a 7 seed NC State team to go to the Final Four? Is that too much to ask?

a) Had a bevy of tough, versatile defenders. Not big, but quick and tough.

b) Never let UNC get comfortable, kept switching up the D. Wish Calipari would do that sometimes.

Breaking: Better to lose in the title game with no one-and-dones, than to win with the bastardizing of college basketball that Calipari (and K) employ. It is a farce to the academic mission of universities. I **** you not. I just read that at Inside Carolina. :eek:

We have generally been underseeded in the tournament and haven't benefitted from many upsets..wouldn't say we've been unlucky though. We've had some tough shots go in for us and we've had some opponent's game winners barely miss.

I had gone kinda numb to the whole tourney, but looking back at Nova's journey. I mean that's pretty impressive. Beating two #1's Kansas and Carolina, and the unspeakable Mandingo'ing of #2 Oklahoma.

Shew. Congrats Wildcats.

It amazes me how many people think DaggumRoy is really Roy. I can't find it but didn't it come out in 2011 when we beat them in the E8 that DaggumRoy was a UK fan living in Carolina?

I've been traveling a bunch for work. I hope to be there this week.

I'd say last night solidifies Wright as a lifer up there, wouldn't you say?

Bad luck in the tourney was more of a reference to crap draws, being underseeded, no upset benefits, some criminal officiating and the fact that our best teams coincide with other really good teams being out there. The murder and mayhem that would have happened on the court had last years UK team played against this years field would have been breathtaking.
