The 24 hour conversion rate for excercise of any kind when you're 30+ is

Zero pain + 24 hours = Every part of me hurts and will for several days.

"Huh, that felt a little funny. Ha, probably fine. There, it's gone now." + 24 hours = "I have a major sports injury that may require surgery and need to see a doctor."

Is the aliexpress jersey stich on or screen print? Also, concerned slightly that the Chinese shady black markets are intimately familiar with our authentic 30 year old UK jerseys.

Monday Shorts:

- USA Today names Ulis 1st Team AA and Murray 2nd Team. Pretty impressive backcourt, huh?

- Loving the 6pm tip Friday. Won't have to take a half day now. Roll out mom and dad's, eat a fish sambo and throwback Millers Lite all night watching ball.

- My dad is insane. His UK den is already wall-to-wall packed with memorabilia and he just adds more every time I roll out. His new thing is picking up UK stuff at estate sales.

- I guess it's all they have but reading Louisville Fan's expectations for their team next year is quite funny. Some of those idiots think they're the preseason favorite.

- Season's been wideopen all year, yet here we come down the stretch and Kansas, Michigan State, North Carolina, Indiana and Kentucky are rolling.

- NFL Fan gets a lot of guff around here (for good reason), but MMA Fan is far and away the worst sports fan. It's not even close.

- If you haven't watched "Creed," do it. It's terrific. Michael B. Jordan is up there with Miles Teller as my favorite young actor.

- SNL's "Inside SoCal" skit just cracks me up. [laughing]

- Anyone been watching 11.22.63? That girl in it is :fire:. Sarah Gadon. Wooboy.

-Body seems back to normal. Just in time.

-We stayed out past 12a on Friday. Eek. The new 21c is really cool. They predictably did a great job on the renovations.

-So Vern, you all just recycling those "we're back" jerseys or you have new ones coming? You know he's getting a fat raise/extension in a month.

-Serious comment: Pretty easy to win the Big 12 a hundred years straight when you play every game at Phog Allen. Do they ever play road games?

-no Internet at the shop. Thinking of shutting it down, grabbing G and heading to Nashville. Touch this noise.

What happened to Maryland? Geez.

Was a bit stiff last night, feel like the tin man with no oil this morning. Thank god for the Ricky Bubbly and Advil #so blessed.
Conditiong was a bit of an issue for me, as expected. Once I get my legs back, drop 20 pounds, practice some ball handling and shooting, should be a solid contributer.

UCL took a nice tumble pretty early, good thing he's not quite the heavyweight most the rest of us are, bounced back pretty quickly. Could tell he was hindered by the groin.

Geese does have some game, was actually kind of impressed. Dude was running the dribble drive, just made everyone around him better. A floor general with a deadeye. Think he's more than ready for Louisville.

Brax-well he was alot bigger than I expected. From the way Adrian talks to him would have thought he was some lowly troll. Dude ate the paint, will be giving Vern headaches on D.

TFields-shifty guard, good handles. Spreads the court, looks for the pass, but lights it up when open.

Cricket-Space eater, force on the boards. But also with a nice mid range J.

jayroon- Don't leave him open. Dude was making it rain.

Geese's friends were pretty good. Just don't see how Louisville can contain them.

Indiana seems the same way. Every time I turn on the TV, they were in Assembly, besides when Michigan State punked them out a few weeks ago.

I know not what you speak. I was cheering for the Terps. And of course they shat the bed. That's a good question. What happened to Maryland? It begins and ends with Turgeon bc the talent and experience is there. No excuse.

I watched some of that IU game yesterday. Assembly Hall just makes me nauseous. Once it got up to 9-10 I shut it off.

Just [sick].

Went to my first spring training game on Friday (Red Sox and Rays) with my dad and middle child (oldest son) and had a blast. Environment is much better than a regular season game and he even had a ball tossed to him by Longoria. Had to explain to my son that the dirty ball is better than taking it home and cleaning it

Competed my first half marathon yesterday and the heat in SW Florida kicked my ***, well that and the extra weight I carry.

-Steph Curry lost yesterday as the largest road favorite in 20 years (19 points), to the worst team in the NBA, by 17 points while shooting 1 for 10 from 3. Larry Bird would never do that.

-Im picking Skal for my SEC tourney MVP. Hes gonna blow up and go nuts in Nashville.

-Got offered 4 free books for the tourney yesterday. I have a 50th bday party to attend Friday night and thinking about heading down early Saturday morning.

They only missed a day and a half (3 days w cruise due to winter break) and completed all HW before we left - my work doesn't allow me to take off during Spring Break unfortunately

just no basis in reality or perspective

MUCH, MUCH better. Final Four better. National Championship better. Write it down. If Nanu stays legit top five all year. If he doesn't, still top five by the end of the year. Never sit and evaluate after a horrible game. Everyone will be a year older, VJ King is coming, Mitchell, Spalding, Adel, Johnson, Anas, and Matz should all be significantly better, we should have Mango back. This game doesn't change my thoughts about next year much at all. No team will have a better chance at winning it all than us.

I'd pick UofL as one of 5-6 teams who could win it all next year. A pissed off/motivated Pitino combined with a special freshman class returning all has the makings of a great season. IF Nanu returns the offense will flow through him. Mitchell could be one of the best 2 guards in America next year. Deng and Ray will continue to improve. Q will be great as a junior.
I actually think next year we will be significantly better defensively since we have all offseason to allow our young players to get acclimated to the 2-3 matchup. Length for days!!

Hard to believe anyone who actually follows the team could think we'll be worse next year. As someone else pointed out, we lost >80% of our scoring from last year, and came in 4th in the conference--without Mango to boot. I'm feeling championship, but that's obviously optimistic. But write it down, unless there are multiple unexpected defections, we'll be in the preseason top ten, one of the teams picked as a favorite for a final four. If you can't see that, you're either an eternal pessimist or don't know basketball.

Mitchell, Adel, and Spalding will be one of the most talented trio of sophs in the nation. IMO, assuming he stays healthy, Adel COULD be the most improved player on the roster. Q may not be a game changer, but he's super steady and will continue to get better. Then you've got 2 seven footers in mahmoud and stockman, who were already sufficient contributors. Those guys will work on strength and come back much stronger. Add in some talented newcomers, and the possibility that nanu comes back, and you've got a title contender.

Had a good time last night. First full court game in probably 4 or 5 years. Not feeling too bad today which is surprising. Allergies are killing me, though. Chest sounds like a damn purring cat it's so congested.

Echo drx analysis on the actual games. The second groupings were much more evenly matched.

First time at a GYERO outing. I've met a few of you guys before but those were more just bumping into someone at a game or around town. Everyone was really cool and nice. I knew doc was in town when I pulled up and saw the Porsche :sunglasses:. We were able to bring up my smoking hot sister so we all had something to talk about. Only problem I had was trying to connect some of the ones I didn't immediately recognize. I just assumed they were friends of geese or fields. Once again, thanks for setting that up. Will be good for me to get a good cardio workout in once a week.

Not going to tell anyone how to post, but as for me, I don't intend to spend March/April of 2016 talking about Louisville or their fans, unless it's to turn the screws during our (hopeful) tournament run. Definitely don't plan to think about their 2017 possibilities or delusions. That's what they've been resigned to thinking about. That's their punishment. Definitely not ours.

Upset of the year that post didn't mention Kentucky once.

* First of all, credit to Indiana for whipping everybody at home. They had Maryland running around on defense like a bunch of headless chickens. And I didn't realize Yogi Ferrell was Indiana's all-time assist leader. I figured he shot way too much for that to happen.

* But something is off about Maryland. My dad thinks it's Sulaimon. His teams at Duke had a knack for not having ideal chemistry, and he essentially filled the void left by the graduation of Dez Wells, who was a heck of a player and leader. It isn't just the losses either. It feels like they've had 20 games this year where they fell behind by 15 points in the first half.

* Melo Trimble has the occasional brain fart that you also rarely see Tyler Ulis make.

* Here's a take that I wish I could take credit for but a buddy gave it to me: Indiana played the 2015 Iowa football schedule of basketball schedules. Props to those guys for getting all the good teams at home except Michigan State, who promptly walloped them. As long as the committee doesn't put them in the Bloomington regional, somebody will make them look more normal in round 2. Maybe. I mean, they cut the nets down in Assembly Hall again. Be somebody.

* Warriors lost. OMG IS GOLDEN STATE A ELITE NBA TEAM? The '96 Bulls lost to the Raptors, who might be one of the least talented NBA rosters of all time. Hush. It's Championship Week.

* Tyler Ulis: First Team All-American. Talk about a kid who plays the right way. And not in a moral high horse way. He literally makes the correct play every time. That's the only way to use the phrase "plays the right way".

* 2 weeks ago I made a post praising Oakland, who is still awesome and I still love them very much. But they're not even the top team in their conference. Have any of you seen Valpo? Alec Peters is capable of going on some kind of Fennis Dembo/Harold Arceneaux mid-major stud run if they get in. Horizon final should be amazing barring upsets. Somebody hire Bryce Drew. Illinois. Please.

* I turn 30 on the 17th, which is crazy for me to think about on here because I started posting in GYERO when I was 19, so you goofs have put up with me for the entirety of my 20s. That is a TON of redass. Thinking about doing breakfast for dinner that night. Big fan of that every now and then.

* Mid-Major conference tournaments, ranked in terms of excitement level:

1. MVC
2. A-10
3. OVC
4. CAA
5. MAAC

*Still want Texas A&M. They cut their nets down too.

Had a little old lady sitting behind us Saturday who grabbed my buddy's shirt and tried to pull him down every time he stood up.

The problem was, the guy in front of him was standing.

Ironically enough, she wasn't a blue hair. It was some awful synthetic orange.

During the last 5:00 when everyone stood (at least for a little while), she was livid. I explained that Cal wanted everyone to stand up. She asked me, "And when did he tell you that?"

I would like to see us put students all the way around or something. On the whole, the crowd was fantastic on Saturday, though. Great atmosphere.

Illinois' new AD has alreay said Groce will be back next year so they won't need a head coach.... yet. Same with Memphis, apparently they don't want to pay Pastner's buyout bc they may need the money to pay the American if they're invited to the Big 12. Both should go immediately, imo.
