I think NKY and NEKY should combine. Can do a day at Smoke Justis and a day at that Irish Bar just off the river in Maysville. TBH if we were actually to organize such a thing, away conference basketball games on Saturday afternoons would probably work well.
That’s the sort of thing you need to do in January and February, to get you through the day. Need to have something to look forward to. Kentucky Basketball is the only thing that has gotten me through a lot of winters.
Edit - Deone Walker for Heisman.
Double edit, as I listen to the crickets and enjoy this crisp weather, if ever so briefly.
I will not get mad at summer. I don’t mind the heat or the sun. I do have a lot of OCD over my plantings. I spend a lot of time making my place beautiful, and the coming stretch of weather will just be vicious. But we persist. And the best skills must shine.
My cana lillie’s are insane right now. I see people point and talk as they are walking down the Avenue.
There is some sort of cigarette boat convention in town. Have heard them running on the river constantly since Thursday. When I poured a bourbon at work at 4 on Friday and walked out on our balcony, there were all these cigarette boats parked in the Roebling District area. Park and Court were totally roped off. Was wild. What the hell would an offshore racer want with the Ohio River
Answer: hillbillies with money.
Saw this one boat with twin 425’s. That’s wild. I didn’t even know they made 425’s.
Really put me in my place, considering that I’ve been going back and forth on pulling the trigger on a new 16 foot Bass Tracker with a 50 Merc.
Guess I’m just a broke *** *****.

Quadruple edit - if anyone has a small bass boat they’d like to move, please let me know. Looking for aluminum and ideally 25, 15 or 9.9 horse.
