I like this. However before there is material growth and an influx of substantial transplants in Louisville everyone needs to check with the Brown family here first to make sure they’re ok with this. We need to be absolutely certain any growth and or development will benefit them before any action is taken.
Went to cocktails at the conservatory with our neighbor friends last night. It’s a really nice event they do once a month in the fancy Jewish neighborhood in town. Themed drinks and you walk around looking at plants and fun other **** with music blah blah. Last nights theme was gin, by far my least favorite liquor. It’s typically 6 different “stations” where you walk around to and drink different gin cocktails from different companies. Well for some damn reason it wasn’t cocktails last night - it was just straight up shots of F*cking gin. Just shots - I took 6 f*cking shots of gin to start off the night last night. Not just any gin mind you, but half were brown - some aged 3 years in cherry wood barrels blah blah trying to turn gin into anejo tequila. Well it doesn’t work - it still tastes like god awful gin. We then had a torrential downpour 2 hours later as we were walking around downtown and then *Poof* my 4 year old was jumping on my chest at 7:15. 
Gin in any form is repulsive.

-I don't understand how anyone could have a problem with a head coach saying his program's expectation is to win their Division. WTF is he supposed to say? Hope we finish 2nd or 3rd? Streble's an ***.
-That said, I am looking forward to a new way of evaluating our progress. Win totals are great, but a dynamic SEC schedule and the dissolution of divisions will make for more interesting metrics year over year.
-I think anything less than 3rd in the east will be a major disappointment this season.
-Kids caught some kind of virus last weekend. Fevers and ear infections for the baby and 4 year old boy have made sleep impossible. I've had a milder version that I think I'm past now. Hate that ****.
-Almost pulled the trigger on a quick trip to see Childers in Charleston mid-August. Ticket lined up. First weekend of school starting atkot.
-Shew boy the CARDS fanboys are chirping again. Staggering out of L&N Federal Credit Union Cardinal Stadium after another *** whipping is going to be exciting again.
-Music rec: Jamestown Revival's San Isabel album.
-My oldest turns 10 in August. She's wonderful but keeps a full social calendar these days so I'm seeing less and less of her which kind of sucks. Guess I should get used to it.
-Speaking of seeing the family less and less, being back in an office at 8 am everyday is bittersweet. Nice to get away and I'm far more productive than working from home, but I am feeling guilty about the time I'll miss with them. It's just reality, but it was a nice 4 years 100% remote.
-Kentucky tormenting Mizzou is such a treat. F them.
-Nashville's emergence as the PREMIER SEC DESTINATION is still annoying. The South is one of if not the most culturally rich regions in the country but ****** as bro country bars and overpriced hotels in Godforsaken Tennessee is the best we can do? Ridiculous.
-Had to go to Frankfort this week for birth certificates. May be the time of year with school getting closer, but certainly felt the innate desire to travel east on I-64 to Lexington. I haven't spent any time there in a few years with the baby coming last fall and just being busy. May need to schedule a weekend with the inlaws sometime in August and try to get out.
-McDonald's in rural SC was offering for a limited time only a 40 piece McNugget and basket of fries meal. At first I thought it may make some sense for a group of kids or something, but it also included a drink, implying it was for 1 (one) person. Jesus Christ, America.
-Won't be long before society pushes back against the current "anywhere goes" disposal method for Zyn pouches, and probably time tbh. Pretty disgusting. I've belatedly started properly throwing them away, especially on the course.
-All it takes is for me to not be able to dig up a drinking buddy or two in the neighborhood consecutive weekends for me to wonder if I actually have any friends. Need someone to enthusiastically answer that text tonight or tomorrow. "Come over" makes this little social alcoholic's heart flutter.
-Started The Bear. It's fine. Soundtrack is probably the best part tbh. "Impossible Germany" was perfectly placed.

It's fine to be excited and so forth, but when you continually lather the sentiment with an inordinate amount of hyperbole, then that isn't healthy, and frankly, it shows just how ignorant one is about the subject at hand. IMHO.

Living in Knoxville we’re seeing this happening. My home value doubled in the last five years. Tons of people are moving into the area from both the north and south. The mountains keep the climate moderate to the point that some winters we have one or less snowfalls and that is attractive to many. CoL is low as well. And no state income tax.
A huge entertainment development is planned for the downtown area including a baseball stadium. Infrastructure is terrible though. No place for the increased traffic to flow.
Looking forward to moving back to KY this year and being close to family.

Purchased 'Death & Company's cocktail book a few months ago. Nice little coffee table addition.
Regarding a French 75 (or any other cocktail). Probably tastes fine, but after a few sips, I just want straight champagne or a glass of wine. Tell her to order one tonight and I’ll try it.

Only spirit I can’t stand is Vodka and that’s mainly because like everyone else I have terrible experiences with it from my younger years.
For gin I was a Tangeray, Tonic and lime guy.
- Had a follow up for the local louisville bourbon club to taste their Armanac finish 5 weeks in. It’s not close, but my other barrel is now on 5 months and fantastic AF.
- Got the green light to list our house come December. I can not wait! Assuming 6 months to move it that puts us moving next summer.
The idea of big nice “luxurious” is just that, an idea. Too much upkeep, to big to keep clean, a basement walkout with 7 kids is pure misery every time the 3 YO doesn’t respond to us screaming, or you have teenagers and the security goes off at 12-6am…………I could go on and on about everything I don’t like.
Downsize and find me some privacy!

- Riverbats tonight for a little league football group thing. Kids get to run out on the field.
