I bet there is at least one person here who agrees with me. I'm just curious to see if they're brave enough to come forward.
Has nothing to do w/ being brave.....has everything to do w/ being completely ignorant. My guess is you're on an island w/ this asinine take.

Wait.

Wait, wait, wait, wait.

Wait just a damn second.

John Cena is a red head?
Lol no but he wishes just like everyone else. Who doesn’t want to be touched by fire before being put in this Earth of boring brown hairs?

Honestly, my red has faded since KW sun for a decade.

But people in KW called me john Cena too, even had a john Cena doll in a bar with my name on it for years. But it’s more the face I guess, he’s def way bigger than me.

Had a lady ask to take a picture with me two nights ago so she could tell her friends she met Taylor Sheridan too which I get often. 🤷🏼‍♂️

-Got to sleep in til 7 today which was amazing. Actually taking a day off from lifting today and about to take the dog on a little jog to get the blood moving. No work til noon today.

-My dream job would obviously be anything with athletics at UK and mom and I were talking about it last night. This morning I wake up to an email about UK looking to hire an athletic trainer. Probably not close enough experience for them yet but I’m going to apply, why not.

-Have a lovely Sunday everyone. Taking the 22 year old out for bfast this morning. Not really looking for anything but I’ll take a non work related friend for sure since I have zero of those so far.

Anyone have experience with Death Wish Coffee? Some places say it has 650-725mg of caffeine per cup. That’s insane because it’s like 3-4x Starbucks and double Dunkin as well. Haven’t brewed it yet but like finding ways to indulge in caffeine without paying $5-8/cup since I’m poor again.

Gumbo is supposed to be a soup, jambalaya is not.

For example, Creole gumbo is a popular French interpretation of the dish that features richer ingredients like butter, tomatoes, and seafood. There’s also a vegetarian gumbo called Gumbo Z’Herbes (featuring hearty greens instead of meats) that is common in South Louisiana during Lenten season for Catholics who abstain from meat on Fridays. Each variation earns a spot on the gumbo continuum.

What’s the Difference Between Gumbo and Jambalaya?

The main difference between jambalaya and gumbo is the role of rice and the presence of roux. Jambalaya is the Louisianian equivalent of a Spanish paella where rice is the main base. For jambalaya, rice is lightly simmered in broth and mixed with various proteins like chicken, sausage, or seafood.
On the other hand, gumbo is served with rice on the side. Gumbo also includes a roux to thicken the stew while jambalaya does not require a roux.

Edit: I guess I’ve been making Creole Gumbo and calling it Jambalya since I do use tomatoes causing it to be more red than brown.

Whatever, all I know is it’s damn good!

Nothing like showing your commitment to something like giving up meat(fish is meat though) for one whole day for a month or whatever, the dedication with these catholics is something to behold for sure...

That's what I've been saying.

You ever had a paella? It's not a soup.

Maybe this is the reason the Browns aren’t known for their crisp execution.

Not weed, that’s sunflower seeds or something.

Also not sure how you all deal with twitter still, what a trash pile that place is. The grammar in that tweet alone makes me want to slowly run my head through a window.

-Nebraska doesn't have Tom Osbourne, his bags of cash, and steroids walking through that door. Plus, who the hell wants to go live in Nebraska?

-I get the blackstone love, but for steaks, it negates the best part of cooking a steak on a grill... the flavor. Open flame on meat >>> hot steel.

-6 months off Twitter. Done with it. Finally stopped typing it in out of habit. Miss the instant news for some aspects of life but don't miss the cesspool of BS. Comfortably numb.

-I'd consider gumbo more of a stew than soup but not sure how you can confuse it with jambalaya. How embarrassing.

-What an upgrade Penny Benjamin is over Charlie. Talk about a fine wine aged to perfection.

-Do Rogan and Zuck talk about anything other than VR? Because that's not what I was hoping for when I loaded up that episode.

-F*cking Stoops Troops start their Destiny Season in 5 days. Cheers, boys. This is "literally" why we do this. Man, Commonwealth is going to be rocking.

Played Gibson Bay yesterday, nice course… somehow never played it in all the years I lived in Lex. Smooth 89. Negative points for the course not having a beer cart girl.

62 yr old service tech here sent his stuff to ancestry a few months ago to get his report. This weekend he gets a message that he has an unknown daughter from 40 yrs ago that they matched DNA with. He never knew it but its legit.

I would advise most of this group to stay clear unless you're ready for that news.

* Tom Osborne's last season at Nebraska:

- Randy Moss was a WR at Marshall
- Andy Katzenmoyer won the Dick Butkus award
- Martin Gramatica won the Lou Groza award
- Peyton Manning was robbed of the Heisman

So yeah, it's kind of been a while.

* Joe Rogan with an absolute victory lap this week -- hosting Alex Berenson and Aaron Rodgers to clown all things COVID. Great stuff. Zuckerberg was terrible and boring. But, you gotta think there's no way that guy is doing an interview without laying out some pretty strict parameters about the discussion topics.

* Went to our buddy's house and ran with his donkeys on Saturday. It was as hysterical and ridiculous as you would expect. Luckily these two are really well trained. But, man, if they don't feel like moving, they don't f'ing move.

* Dude. We play football on Saturday 😍🥰😘

* Spent a lot of weekends my freshman year driving up to Oxford, Ohio with my Chicago bros. The campus at Miami (OH) was so insulated, you could just kind of do whatever. Really strong greek system. Every bar seemed to be staffed by college kids who didn't give AF about fake IDs. Lots of house parties. So whatever happens this weekend, I'd better not hear any bad mouthing our friends from up north.

* I mean, we really didn't need a Jo Dee Messina remix, but thanks to Cole Swindell, we got one.

Does this qualify as a "banger?"

* I haven't bought anything on Amazon in like 3 days, and I'm really starting to get some serious anxiety.

* Is Ed3232 a new poster? He’s on the list for worst CatPaw posters. Certainly top 5.

Better than the Golden State Killer's experience with DNA testing, I guess. At least the daughter is old enough that he can't get stuck with child support.

1- Ingredients and everything else I’ve ever bought was for a jambalya, including a premade mix Kroger used to sell. So I’ve always called it Jambalya, but since 80 has friended me he has pointed out 2-3 times that I’m not making Jambalya because the pictures look like soup.

My point was I’ll call it gumbo so he doesn’t have to ridicule it. But really I don’t care what you call it because it’s good! Also the pictures I’ve posted are before adding rice which absorbs all the extra “gravy, sauce, whatever”.

2- Bryant HVAC to the rescue. Add this to the things I know nothing about so when my wife changed the filters and left the door “off” I guess it wouldn’t run. Add to it that happened last night while I was busy so sleeping in 80 degree temps(I didn’t sleep at all) was miserable. My whole crew is feeling the mondays………..but Bryant fixed it right up, and didn’t even blame it on my wife(to her face) which made her feel better.
