I use Door Dash occasionally at work. Chase Sapphire use on the account gets you Dash Pass through the end of 2024. Definitely makes it a hella better deal.

I’ve had mostly good experiences with DoorDash/UberEats.

It helps that I’m not a *****.

Same. Food doesn't always hit, but I've learned what does and doesn't and typically stick to that.

The drivers are mostly friendly, and out grinding making money. Anytime there is an issue, just report it on the app & you get instant credits. I've had just a few bad experiences out of....umm, way too many.

Most of my annoyances are the 1/10 who place the damn food RIGHT in front of my storm door, which opens outward...meaning I have to go out through the garage and back up my sidewalk to retrieve. :gun: ( stern note on my settings has mostly alleviated)

Find it funny several are so skeptical, despite having 500 pizzas delivered to them over a lifetime by the exact same people.

And Nearly all the stuff comes 'sealed' w/ a sticker or whatever, another nice little Covid benefit.

I love LAYS French Onion Dip with Ruffles. One of the greatest combos ever. But you can never get the last half an inch of French onion dip out without getting it all over your knuckles, unless you’re smart and have saved the few super long ruffles. (No one does this , it’s small chips by the end of the bag) I usually grab a bowl and spoon and put dip in the bowl with crushed ruffles and enjoy or just eat it straight up with a spoon.

There should be a lower side door to dip your chip when it’s an inch or less.

All time best snack - Zesta originals, deli American cheese, Tabasco or Frank’s

I have eaten this in lieu of an actual meal probably over two thousand times.

Late edit - this is beyond the spirit of the original post, but if you happen to introduce some extry spicy sabra hummus, or maybe some cucumber taziki sauce, you’re livin high on the hawg.

- I've pretty much had that UK Football 2022 "trailer" video on loop for days. I want to see a 42-3 bloodbath of that Miami (OH) team next weekend.

- I'm sorry, if you're eating a pizza with a fork and knife, you've lost a lot of respect from me, toots.

- One of our locations had a huge box with ears of corn on the cob in it in the break room. I asked how much to buy some and she said, "take all that you want."

Let's say I'm making a ****-ton of corn this weekend.

- While we are on a run of food randos, best thing to bring to a fantasy football draft that is BYOB and "bring a dish" requirement?

I think I'm going huge on chicken tenders and said corn.

A bunch of Hot-n-Ready 'zas from Little Caesars closing fast as a second.

- Speaking of closers, let's look at Cyberknife at the Travers Stakes tomorrow at Saratoga. Might do a Pick 3 with ALL/ALL/Cyberknife.

That horse has been absolutely climbing and maturing like crazy. Go watch that Haskell again. Shew wee. Keeneland only 7 weeks away, too, gang.

- One trade in my life that I really have no clue who won: 7th grade year at Lewis County Middle School.

Me: "I will give you 3, 1990 Topps All-Star Rookie cards of Gregg Jeffries, four of these NFL-themed pencils and a Fudge Round, for that Chris Sabo 1989 Topps All-Star you have."

- Underrated sound: the hiss of a needle hitting a vinyl record.

- While we are on old tunes, I'm current on an old-school Jazz trip. The Ink Spots are the GOAT at the moment.

"If I Didn't Care" for the win.

Thanks, Jimmy McGill. Also gives me a Shawnshank feel.

- UPDATE: Silverqueen corn is MattsCats #1.

- *cracks open domesticated beer, "We'll Met Again" by the 'Spots playing, an ear of corn being devoured, looking out to a sky that is similar to a scoop of rainbow sherbet, and going to enjoy this penultimate weekend that foreshadows best six months of sports.*

You are a poet.

Edit - Matts, you indicated in those Maysville Oktoberfest posts that you live downtown. I had always thought you still lived out northeast.

I have an affinity for Maysville, particularly that Irish bar down by the river.

My grandfather used to drive me out to Caproni’s for a good meal. This was before the AA and landslides on 8.

I’m adding to my life goals list (which I maintain as the one and only “note” on my iPhone) “do multiple car bombs with MattsCats at that Irish bar by the river.”

Double edit - Probation - you getting effed up too.

O'Rourke's Irish Pub (one on the river) is like 1 mile from Caproni's. I'm game, Wynn.

He’s not really the marrying type. Seems happy to bang 20-somethings and hike/camp/ski in the mountains with his dog.
-WCC can you introduce me to my brethren, feel like we look at life pretty similarly lol.

-Picture Me Rollin for this Pac fan.

- @anthonys735 Tens are amazing and at work now I hop in the cold tub post 6a workout and then slap the big boy real deal stim machine on my destroyed shoulder and feel like a million bucks the rest of the day.

-Why would almost any coach leave a successful program they built with thine own hands, could have a statue one day outside of to go to auburn while Sagan is still at Bama? Makes zero sense to me. You’ll be fired within a few years.

-Idle Week for MY Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders the USC game. Hoping @Wodie Sloot sends the invite for that week. Our other idle week is @ Florida.

Tonight marks the 7th anniversary of my Dad’s death. Had over my brother and SIL.great time just sharing stories and pounding Bardstown Fercullen (amazing) and my Calumet 16 is GONE.

Good tunes. JGB, Tedeschhi Trucks, ABB, Prine.

hung my Keeneland stuff. Beautiful.

called my kid. He’s loving school. Miss him. Toasted.

Bullitt East was the top offense in the state last year, and returned 10 offensive starters but looked horrible tonight. Hopefully it was just a game 1 fluke after handling Ballard, in a scrimmage, who beat Male tonight.

Clearly St X is the school to beat again.

- As a pac fan I love to hear different songs than mine as others favorites. Can’t C Me just oozes of that Tupac energy/passion.

Personally most of my favorites are from his earlier work and tough to choose from Under Pressure or If I die tonight.

- 3 more barrel picks locked up in TN. That state is really supporting Down Home in a big way.

- Came home from the HS game to a house full of 8th grade girls who just adored our 2YO. They were falling all over themselves to tell me “the most adorable thing” because one of them asked if they could take him home and his response was “no, I’m daddy’s best friend”.

That’s right buddy!

I bet there is at least one person here who agrees with me. I'm just curious to see if they're brave enough to come forward.

Not this Cayuts fan. It’s right up there with Scent of a Woman, Forest Gump, Hunt for Red October and any of the LOTR movies as an auto stop on the channel scroll.
