Memorial Day Shorts:
-Pretty All American weekend, definitely w/ Richie on Memorial Day > 4th of July...just something about the official kickoff of 'summer'. I'm usually already dreaming of fall by the time the 4th comes around if I'm being honest.
-Spent Saturday at Idle Hour (76). Place is obviously incredible - rough was as gnarly as I've played in a good while...and that place is bunker city. Sand everywhere. Tough greens, every cup has runoff around it.
Kinda weird that there are little-to-no cart paths. You basically just drive/park anywhere. Never played such a nice course that allowed you to just drive in the rough, but that stuff is so thick and healthy the random cart traffic isn't even noticeable. Definitely recommend accepting the invite if you get one, but having a close friend who's now a member is even better.
-Lake Cumberland w/ friends the rest of the way. Toby's Lake House is incredible - imagine lots of great memories will be made down there. Food, drinks, other, and tunes were all enjoyed - just a perfect serene getaway. Very envious of that setup, well done!
-Detour on the way home Monday for Lunch at Lee's Ford, and some time floating at the beach inside Pulaski State Park. Pretty cool spot in there. Hadn't been to Lee's in 20 years...but spent 15 summers out there as a kid...the outdoor deck renos are nice, but the views & everything else were pretty much the same, nostalgia overload.
-That Heat comeback inside 1:30 was pretty crazy...some seem to question Butler's shot, but he was wide *** open. You have to take (and make) that one, imo.
-Warriors in 6.
-Top Gun getting seemingly unanimous rave reviews...that rarely happens with such hyped movies, especially in situations where they're a Part 2 or whatever. Guess I'll have to peep.
-Chris Quinn was a baller. Wasn't too familiar w/ his coaching pedigree, but the more I read about it the more I love that possibility.
-Back to the grind...
