You all can say whatever you want but Justin’s > Reese’s. The mean bullying will not change my mind. I do like Reese’s eggs though. The pb to chocolate ratio just works in those. And Justin’s minis are better than their full sized. Trader Joe’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups are neck n neck with Justin’s (and aren’t even organic. Gasp!!!)

G had plenty of junk today and non-organic candy. Every Kit Kat he got during the Easter egg hunt he ate when he opened. Lots of double bubble (including a double bubble baseball bat). The kid is just fine, don’t y’all worry about his spoiled *** (and the 5 day weekend he’s working on.)

Anyways, love you GYERO.

Traeger is easy as anything I could imagine. Wouldn’t knock another rec at all but this:

Traeger

Is perfect size anyone not looking to put too much effort into their cook.

I’m still smoking and grilling on a 15 year old Weber kettle. It’s the only rig I have (at my primary residence, at least). I guess I’m too old cheap Dutch to walk into Ace and simply buy something new that I want. But oh well.

Chase, I don’t know if you are looking for an easy rig, and that’s cool if you are, kind of jealous actually, but if you fork out the $125 or so for a Kettle, it will never let you down.

Appreciate it Wynn, but I’m looking for something a simpleton can operate with ease.

I honestly don’t have the patience or desire to do “real man” cooks.

Basically, in the end, I want to be able to adjust the temp and monitor while I’m playing golf. Wifi enabled seems to be my only option there.

Recommendation request:

Pellet smoker, or any decent smoker, that is easily controllable and idiot proof. Preferably with Wifi.

*My Dad and I split a half cow and got several briskets included. Sold my smoker a couple years ago, but think it’s time to get back into it.
Camp Chef.

-icon is a *great* venue....perfect size for "smaller" acts.

-speaking of old ****ers writing music: basement studio is 97% complete. @Bonzo Cat , @CastleRubric and @HymanKaplan ...get ready. Need a synth nerd.

^all others welcome...my idea is to have a musical kibbutz, record everything and maybe find something worth refining. #midlifecrisis

aside from the alternating weeks i’m spending in TN helping care/watch/be with momma —

i’m 100% down and really NEED this outlet, Ruddy-Rudd

Camp Chef is the play. They are the same as the Treager but cost less, produce more smoke, and have a wider temperature range.

I put a lot of research into buying one about 6 months ago, then got one of these when it was on sale. Love it.

a 2500.00 grill for a beginner, that’s rich even by GYERO standards
The difference in cost is a dozen mediocre brisket cooks.

Chase is buying half a cow, so he doesn’t sound like a beginner.

additionally, I’ve been watching a chef (Chef Tom @ATBBQ) exclusively using the Yoder for 5-6 years. This is the only pellet cooker that puts enough smoke like an offset stick-burner on the meat according to a mountain of reviews I read.

The gauge of steel, warranty, and ability to sear meat at high temps is the reason for the cost.

If my BGE wasn’t fully replaced via warranty 2 years ago, I would’ve went the Yoder route myself when the opportunity was there.

Wyvern - Horn parts and drums. Whatever you need. (I'm fairly certain that Bonzo can kick my *** on the kit. I'm self taught and tend to "over fill" if you know what I mean. Honestly, I'll probably just go off on a tangent, and start to do my own thing half way through the song. Short attention span and what not.

Also, if you haven't ever heard this LP, check it out. A person with your sensibilities and musical taste should dig it.

Within 10 seconds of sitting down next to an older guy in the waiting area, I immediately got to hear about how he takes classes at UK and gets so angry about how the students are being indoctrinated that he often has to leave. Also, about he was accosted by an Asian girl about not wearing his mask correctly and she had no answers for his responses (naturally). When did people decide that strangers need to immediately know your views on stuff like this?

When we moved to FL last year, my wife asked a neighbor who we knew for a vet recommendation. Her exact answer was, “we’ve had a really good vet for 10 years now but we just recently found out she voted for trump so we have stopped going to them and won’t even give you their name.”

My wife (a non voter) was absolutely floored by this response. We immediately said we wouldn’t discuss politics (not that we did much anyhow bc we hate both parties) with any neighbors no matter how friendly we became.

-Kooky has posted about that Yoder no less than 50x, and still doesn't have one.

<--- went to a drag brunch yesterday to celebrate Easter. Was a blast.

-Office Lady brings in the Trader Joe's dark chocolate PB Cups on occasion...they're fire. Reese's never really been my thing.

Hey Geoff- can you ask Rivals.com why I keep getting logged out so then when I’m innocently scrolling GYERO my well cultivated ignore list doesn’t do me any good?

UCL- I call it “too online syndrome” ie people think real life is like a message board and just jump right into their takes, context or audience be damned. It’s resulted in a society of real life trolls. So you, a normal person, goes to get your Illuminati approved real ID and wind up interacting with UKO in real life. It’s the opposite of “Tron”, really.

In his defense, I am a clean-cut middle-aged white guy. So he probably saw an ally. The Patagonia vest I was wearing should have given him pause, though.

*Nice chill Easter weekend.

*Stayed in Friday night and didn't do ****. Watched TV until I was tired enough to force myself to sleep, which hasn't been easy lately.

*Saturday, much of the same during the day. Kids came over with a pizza and we knocked out the last episode of Moon Knight.

*Yesterday was a lot like Saturday. The ex took the kids and her mom to River House for lunch while I scoured the aisles of Meijer looking for something took cook.

Ended up with a bone in prime rib roast. Seasoned with it with the Ruby rub and had a side of St. Elmo's creamy horseradish for our dipping pleasure. Enjoyed.

*Weather porn alert for this weekend. The Bronco may flash her titties.

I’m sure that Yoder is great if you want to enter some regional comps and don’t mind having something the size of a Kia parked in your backyard.

I went with a camp chef with Wi-Fi and a side burner and it’s been great. I will say though, if one of your main concerns is Wi-Fi and UI Recteq seems to have the best. A buddy has one and his controller is much more useful than the camp chef. But I just couldn’t get past the raging bull motif.
