I am genuinely perplexed by these idiots like Andy Katz who have Kansas ranked higher than us. I mean, I get that it’s not a one game season, but when two teams’ records and resumes are anywhere close, I’d think I’d recall a 20-point home beatdown.

The next four weeks are the most fun basketball can ever be. I think we will see a ton of upsets this year because there are no truly great teams, a handful of elite teams, and then a bunch of pretty good squads.

Hopefully the SEC will be underseeded (as per usual). If so, I can see multiple SEC teams beyond UK and Auburn making the Sweet 16. Kenpom has Tennessee at 12, LSU at 16, Arky at 19, and Bama at 22. That really puts our record in perspective.

* Looking back, we didn't have a single bad loss all year. Our worst loss was on the road against Notre Dame in the seventh game of the year with Wheeler's worst game as a Wildcat.

When is the last time that happened? Veterans for the MFing win.

* The stock market can eat my ***. Let's go Brandon atkot.

* I am super pumped to fill out my bracket this year. It feels like a decade since I've done one. Going to blast N****s In Paris on loop while I do.

Recently I've been listening to the playlist my friends and I created for house parties for the NCAA tournament in 2012. You could probably find it on Spotify if you search for UK Title Playlist and find my account.

Gonna go ahead and say it won’t bother me one but if the SEC sh!ts the bed in the NCAAT, as long as UK does well.

I did and the first playlist was Ultimate 80's British - UK Playlist and it had been way too long since I heard One Night in Bangkok so thank you.

- Have always found Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” soothing.

- Paolo Banchero is damn good but he really hasn’t improved since we saw him.

- Houston’s metrics are mystifying. I don’t think they have a Q1 win.

- Most stressful time of the year and Cal made it down to Nashville to cheer on the ladies. He’s an impressive dude.

- Daughter is teething and/or sick. It’s awful.

- First time back in the office since December. Mixed feelings but either way I can deal with two days of my choice each week.

-still amazing to me that a song about a chess tournament (one night in Bangkok) was a commercial success.

-"Wish You Were Here" was our Senior Prom theme. Bunch of stoners on the committee. Great song though.

-Toppin has been a little weird the last couple games since Cal said he "needed to talk to him" after one of the road games. Need Poppin focused.

-This is the prototypical Duke team.

-The complete disaster for Duke on Saturday, considering the build up, is just so tasty. Beat down, K being a prick in his speech, Carawell handshake line. Just amazing.

-Missed 1 in office day in the last 2 years "out of an abundance of caution" and I have no idea how you WFH people do it. How many times do you open the fridge door on any given WFO day? 150-200?

-After a rush last weekend I was asleep by 8:30pm last night. Not sure I even moved all night. Coma style.

-$111 to fill up the old gas tank yesterday. F*ck.

-Shaq is a national treasure.

Big weekend for this homeboy.

- ran off to Breckenridge for a super top secret elopement/wedding ceremony. for a variety of reasons, having a very small get together with no family and only our closest friends ended up being absolutely perfect for us. i think we ended up with 18 people total.

- rented a big house just minutes out of town and spent the weekend skiing, eating, and drinking. got to bring our pup along with us to be a part of the festivities. he even wore a tux and hammed it up for the photographer.

- thanks to the schemsloots, bellydancers, and bbdk for attending. wouldn't have been the perfect weekend without them.

- ole dog dad hadn't hit the slopes (except for a little Christmas in July, if you nomsayin) in 15 years, so I had no idea what to expect. thank god they gave me the beginner skis, and i felt like i hadn't missed a beat. had a great time, stayed upright. no wrecks. had a blast on the blues and greens. consider this a pat on my own back, but i performed quite well on the skis. ready to get back out there asap.

* breck is probably the most popular ski town in america (google tells me vail gets more skiers), which brings the good and the bad. it's a decent sized city with all kinds of dining/drinking/staying/shopping options, but it's also overcrowded with a lot of basic bitches. it's a very easy place to get to from denver, but far from my favorite part of colorado.

* we're still planning a new orleans get together with family and many more friends in may, and cannot wait for that as well.

* so, this ring. do i gotta wear this sucker like all the time? 43 years jewelry free, so it feels weird af.

Wear it for a few months, "misplace" it (but somewhere you can actually retrieve), get a ring tattoo.

-"Time" is the best Pink Floyd song, and one of the best songs ever written. Tyler Childers covers it incredibly too.

-Always feel like I'm missing something when people go nuts about gas prices. An extra ten bucks to fill up isn't money I'm missing, and even then, $40-50 to drive everywhere I want to go is the best value in history. Time, convenience, comfort, fun, etc. for an entire week or more? Where else can you have that for that price? It costs more to see a movie.

I guess it's a bigger jump if you drive something with a 30-gallon tank that only takes premium, but not a lot of puppies scent for those folks financially until the cost of private jet fuel goes up too.

-Maybe moreso than snow/cold on Christmas, I need these next few weeks to be spring weather. It's inextricably linked in my soul. Need 60s-70s and sunny with that *smell* in the air as the Kentucky Wildcats win the NCAA tournament.

-Was every high school fighting each other or the fans or the officials before we started filming all the basketball games or is that new?

-There's going to be a game where we put the ball in TyTy Washington's hands and he wins it by himself. Can't wait.

*Congrats again, PTI. Knowing your penchant for buying used items, I know of a ring currently not in use. Could have been yours.

*After 19 years of marriage, I am glad I didn't get a ring tattoo.

*Senior prom theme: "In the Still of the Night"...I think. "Back to the Hotel" received the most votes, buy our uppity prom committee stole the vote.

*Played Nevel Meade Saturday. Weather was perfect. I played like **** but didn't get mad one time, which is a first.

*I've read more CBB articles this year than the last 3 or 4 combined.

*Potential customers coming in this week so Tampa is out. Sad. I was looking forward to some Grouper and getting stabbed in the shin. Maybe next time.

My wife gets more upset when I misplace my ring than she does when I don't wear it so I just put it away and quit wearing it regularly.

-Any good baked potato bars in NKY?

-Cal didn't exactly give the warm and fuzzies last night when asked if TyTy was getting healthier. I worry this is going to be a "you guys didn't know how banged up TyTy really was" postseason storyline.

-I went down to Tampa with my brother a few years ago back when he was with the Yankees for spring training. We had a damn blast. It's not much of a basketball town (neither is Nashville), but certainly should be a good time.

I'll still hold out hope for a Louisville SEC tourney someday. I mean, it's the college basketball market in the conference footprint (and in the country), has SEC tourney history, and a great arena for it. Would be pretty dope IMO.

-St. Patrick's Day on the 1st day of the NCAA tourney is nice.

-The only time I take my ring off is when I swim in the ocean. Otherwise, I hardly notice it and sometimes am shocked when I realize it's been there the whole time.

Back when I was a younger man I was told how a wedding ring actually makes a man more attractive to the opposite sex. I can not share any data supporting that theory, unfortunately. Maybe I'm just a loser.

-UK Spring Break next week which always brings back memories.

I enjoy all the poors complaining about gas prices going up to the tune of a few more bucks to fill up their respective tanks, but "highest price in history" never sounds good. Don't care if it's for bread of milk or gas or widgets. Can't wait till we ban Russian petrol and really send this thing to the moon.
