Truthfully, Bengals fan = Louisville fan. Especially when it comes to the Steelers.

There are a few good ones out there like Willy so I will root for them even though I think it is in the stars for the Rams.

Looking forward to the post where Chumps brings up big brother.

-A late night BMW Post game would've been an all timer. The crew was well lubed.

-After SideBar, Neat, Tin Roof, Gerstle's, a great uber from St Matt's, and Taj... Kirdo and I were wandering around 1st St trying to get White Castle in the freezing tundra of downtown Louisville only to find out it's open for drive thru. F*ck!! Then walking back to the Omni I ordered $50 worth of Taco Bell to my house... in Lexington. Thankfully got that quickly canceled before they knocked on the door at 1:30a waking up 2 sleeping kids. Shew. Finally got it right but good lord it was a STRUGGLE.

-Mintz will be fine if he could clean up his untimely turnovers and tighten up the D. I don't mind his shots though.

-Again, if he doesn't play this week, it's over. It just is. Especially if we thump Vandy. I can't imagine throwing a kid in this late much less well into February. We're like 2/3 of the way through the season. I'm very skeptical he returns next year if he can be a top 10 draft pick this summer. Sucks, and I wouldn't blame him/Cal, but probably worth a shot.

I snuck out at midnight and grabbed an Uber back to the telly. It was hazy by that point.

BBdk and Ap wanted to go to that dive bar but we were on a mission for some food. Believe they closed it down. No one is sure if we walked or got a ride from Taj back to Omni. I polished off a Coke, 2 cheesy gordita crunches, quesadilla, and a liquid IV. Could've done without the last bar.

Think we are finally to the point of our 2.5 year old not taking an afternoon nap. Didn’t get one yday and slept till 7:10 this morning, one of her latest sleep-ins ever.

No nap today and what happens? 6 mo old also decides not to sleep, been up since 6am. The wife is as close to losing it as I’ve ever seen.

^ except that it replaced LaBamba. Always resented the place.

Used to crush Phillip's Market directly across from Gatton 3-4x a week. Little deli and flat top in the back w/ all sorts of good **** & daily specials, for cheap. Feel like that place flew wayyy under the radar given it's prime location directly out the front door of where most of mine and my buddies' classes were.

Seems to be still going strong, per Google.

Went there on the regular with my dad in the early 90’s. Best ham and cheese on the planet.

  • Effin Mondays make it necessary for the proverbial 3pm espresso bump.
  • Bonobo on regular tune playlist. New StPaul & Broken Bones album released Saturday. Refuse to say “dropped”
  • Days getting noticeably longer. Daylight commute is key to sanity.
  • Keens for wife’s birthday Feb 7
  • Losing Wolford stinks. Hope Stoops pulls an ace because Wolf was in on a lot of recruits.
  • Anyone been to Sardinia? 2023 I’m in.

Gyero trolling...
As a life long Rams fan I’m going to enjoy watching Aaron Donald and Von Miller destroy that cocky little **** Joe Burrow and put the city of Cincinnati back in its place in the sporting world.

Nice story for the long suffering Bengals fans in GYERO but in the real world Goliath wins more often than naught against David.

F Kansas and everything about them. Phony coach, phony *** basketball culture and history. Nice to see them bitchslapped around in the “greatest environment in all of college basketball”. Cats are going on a run now. Don’t know where it ends but I like my team.

In personal news, I’m engaged to the Brazilian lass (who it turns out her family is way richer than I thought but it’s Brazilian money so it’s like playing monopoly I guess) and I’m going to be a father again at 40. What a frigging ride.

I’m just going to apologize to Kooky and even Hank for being an *******. Neither of you deserved me being a dick.

Stay golden Wildcat Friends.

Never really been a big NFL fan or had a true rooting interest aside from whoever some of the players that I liked were on. I guess as a really young kid, I liked the Redskins because that was the mascot of the high school my dad coached. Otherwise, I was a big Montana fan and cheered for the 49ers and then Chiefs. I still wouldn't call myself a die hard because I was just so invested in college football. I guess you could say I'm a Titans fan more than anyone in my adult years because of the Woodyard/Williamson and now Bud Dupree aspect of it.

I never cheered for the Bengals. In fact, it was my schtick to talk **** about them just because a lot of my buddies were Bengal fans. No real hatred, just being the contrarian was my thing. That said, I've actually sat down and watched a lot of this years playoffs and those boys are fun as hell to watch. Hell, the entire playoffs have been. I'm not going to go act like I'm some die hard Bengal fan like many are today but I can say that I'm done with being a contrarian. I can get on board and root for them in two weeks. Hell, maybe I get to a game with one of my buddies and can become more of a fan. Sure it's bandwagon-ish but I enjoyed watching them and happy for all of my buddies who have been ride or die. It's kind of like UK. We've sucked for so long so I am glad their fanbase gets to finally enjoy some success. It's got to be a good feeling for Who Dey nation.

Still just enjoying this weekend in sports. Good lord, what an *** whooping to put on Kansas where they live. Oscar is the most valuable player in the country and its not even close.

Happy for my Bengals friends. Love Joey B, firmly on the bandwagon…and to think it’s all because of my Steak Burrow. Bring on the Rams.

Niners are an elite QB away. Could see Rodgers going there.

Sad to hear Tommy is hangin them up, but what else is there for him to prove. He’s healthy, rich, got the world by the balls. You do you GOAT.

Currently in the Bahamas. Baha Mar is pretty dope. Watching the NFL in sports book was fun. Rustic Italian tonight, bellismo.

Monday shawts:

What else can be said about the Bengals. Burrow is the king of Ohio.

Whuppin the jaybirds was just what I needed in my UK life. Hopefully they drop a few like UT did after we slapped them around.

My spell check tries to turn like into Luke every time.

Was supposed to spend last week chilling in south Florida. Covid got in the way though. Pretty much over the side effects, except for fatigue. Good lord I'm tired, but glad to get over this.

We are half way through winter. Four weeks until March. Planning to watch Groundhog Day in the next 48 hours.

Was setting aside some money to put a remote start on my truck. Then I found out I already had it. Such an awesome feature.

I'm tired of kentucky Republicans that are against gambling on anything but horses, or buzzing on anything but bourbon. Fuggin hypocrites.

I need a haircut.

Jake and Elwood's on Frankfort Avenue has a solid Chicago-style pie. Not quite as good as Malnati's or Giordano's, but I'd put it on par with Uno's and Gino's East.

Been on a tuna salad kick lately. Pretty sure Jersey Mike's is the best amongst the chains. Anna Marie's Spot on Guist Creek Lake in Shelby County has a solid one, too. Love finding locally owned diners and cafes along the Bourbon Trail.

Vegas trip next week. Staying at Bally's and watching the Super Bowl at The Cromwell Sports Book. Stoked.

The Louisville RV & Boat Show was a bust this year. Almost as pathetic as Lexington's. Those Supra Boats they displayed were beautiful, though. Almost $300K for that size boat seems a bit high, but I shall refer to the resident doctor on those things.
