- That game sucked. Let’s move on. Hopefully
- Feast of San Gennaro back in full swing this year. With Italian being my favorite cuisine and my love of Italian culture in general, absolutely determined to make it to that one day.
- Interesting side note, it takes place on Mulberry street, where John Gotti’s once-infamous Ravenite Social Club was located. Something about “the life” has always fascinated me, in that “How do these people actually think the law won’t catch up with them one day?” way.
- Sitting in the chair the other day, something came over me about just how much I really appreciate having access to a classic barber shop. Old men sitting around waxing about sports, current events, etc. Faded pictures and sports posters that have been on the walls for decades. Cream and straight razor shave on the back of the neck. The works. Not many of them left anymore, sadly.
- Went to the Eric Church concert Friday night (yeah, yeah…fire away), first full-scale event in Rupp since the shutdowns. Just to be with 15,000 of my closest friends for the first time in almost two years was worth every penny.
- I’m not digging the new setup at Rupp Arena at ALL. I know there’s a lot left to be done, but it feels claustrophobic. Will never get used to no longer being able to just stroll over from the Hyatt while still inside.
- After another bad experience (it was the only thing I could find open, and I was famished), I am finally at the point where I can admit that Sir Pizza is trash. I’ve known it in the back of my mind for a long time, but it’s just terrible cardboard. Not even nostalgia can save it for me at this point.
- These fast food “celebrity meals” are hilarious. Nelly’s is literally just a Whopper meal. And who in the world is Chase Hudson?
- Worst NFL team beats the best college team. Every. Single. Time.
- “Who are you people?” [switchblade flips] “Show ‘em.”
Still one of the most iconic action movie lines/moments ever. #Ahnuld
- As a Bear fan, way out in front on the Aaron Rodgers dislike. Glad everyone else is starting to see that weirdo’s true colors.
- It’s so odd to me that the MNF broadcasting crew is just a carousel these days. Growing up, that was an iconic broadcasting role that people stayed in a long time. Now it’s just “Who are these people?” They need to just put the Mannings in the main booth and make it permanent.
- Agreed kooky, those Lions all whites were dope.
- Rack Richie on why college football is so much better than the NFL as an overall product.
- Ryder Cup week.
