I remember asking this question in GYERO around 10(!!!) years ago, but I'll throw it out there again, since we've all gotten older and there are new ones in the mix...

Who in GYERO is most like you? And who in GYERO is least like you?

Gonzaga has 4 one seeds in the last 5 seasons, assuming they get one this season.

We have only 3 during Cal's entire tenure.

There has been a changing of the guard. We aren't at the top of college basketball. We've been supplanted by the likes of Gonzaga, Baylor, Villanova, and Virginia. After what is likely to be another mass exodus and what appears to be a ho-hum recruiting class without an elite prospect, we are looking at another season on the treadmill of mediocrity.

Gonzaga's last 4 season's seeds have been #11, #1, #4 & #1. Not sure where you are getting the other one? Were you counting last year if there would've been a tournament?

Would we, as a fanbase, be satisfied with Mark Few or Jay Wright? Would the exciting brand of basketball make up for failing to meet expectations in the tournament most of the time.

Few has been to 20 straight tourneys at Gonzaga. An absolutely amazing feat. But he has been knocked out in the 1st weekend 11 times, has only made 1 F4 and only made it past the S16 3x total. That is despite being a top 3 seed 7x.

Wright has won 2 titles, but hasn't made it out of the 1st weekend in the other 8 seasons in the last 10 tournaments. Including a 13-19 season.

Overall, he has coached Nova in 20 seasons where there was a tournament played. He has failed to make it past the 1st weekend in 12/20 of those seasons. He does have the 3 F4s and more importantly 2 titles. Do the 2 'ships outweigh all of the early exits?

For me, I think both both could kill it here but I'm not sure they could stand the pressure.

My first choice would be for Cal to get **** right, but he is alienating himself more and more every day. The fact that I am even thinking about who we should get next is ********. What a ****** season. Touch.

Can't get over the development of that goober Michael Bennett becoming a renegade in Cal's pressers, and fighting everyone else alongside him in "media", most notably Kyle Tucker. It's been slowly developing all season, and apparently now he's just feeling it.

Apparently Asked Cal "what exactly do you see in Devin Askew" last night. 😆

...would love to hear JDrum's thoughts. He's the biggest goof in the history of UK media/radio, but it's actually making me kinda like him now.

As the outsider, and an observer, and having met and hung out with many on here.....the answer for everyone is "no one" to both questions. It is one helluva collective group of individual personalities, opinions, etc, that seem to mesh well, outside of the select few dipshits like cawood who has no friends.

Funny how sports does that very thing.

So apparently @johnrobicshair has blocked me on twitter 🤔

Tried to read a retweet and it said I couldn't. I think the only other person that has blocked me was Jarren Williams. I didn't @ either of them 🤷‍♂️😂

I never thought Cal would buckle under the pressure of the program but cot dam he is folding like a lawn chair this year. Also how much easier is it for say Oats to run and gun free willing at a place like Alabama where they don't give a **** about basketball verses trying to do it at UK where every game is life or death? I think Cal has gotten way too conservative because of this very thing.

Win (by 20) or else.

Get **** right or gtfo.

The importance of this year's NCAA is starting to sink in a bit...ESPN was running some tournament segment. We didn't get one last year. We are still in the middle of this **** sandwich of a thing. Kentucky really needed this. Thanks a lot, John.

Thank the Lord for Mark Stoops. Hard to articulate what that man has done for BJW's dreams during times like these.

I'm loathe to do this, but which one of you slackjawed idiots can help me with a local counsel issue in Louisville?

Only qualification needed is the ability to electronically file documents in KYWD without f*cking it up (including a couple pro hoc motions).

Disagree completely... simply because UK/Cal/Barnhart/etc have shown at every step of the way they don’t care about fans and what they think. To elevate average fans to nemesis would mean they would have a seat at the table... and no way is Cal nor UK gonna do that.

Anytime there is an issue, no matter how trivial or major, it’s much easier to remember that UK doesn’t care about what you think vs trying to figure out any other reason.

Re: Cal folding like a lawn chair

As one of the simplest minds of basketball in here I don’t think he is folding to the pressure, and even if it was the pressure, I don’t see it as win by 20 and get the #1 class every year type of pressure.

This isn’t a fan base coming off of Tubby missing every recruit and BCG being whatever that was. It’s simply that we are seeing an obvious different way to compete with this group that COULD lead to some wins. That’s it.

When Jimmy Dykes is saying in the first half of games he’d play Allen 25-30 minutes a game and make sure he gets 10-15 shots off, then basically makes fun of Cal by pointing out his best shooter hasn’t played and is in sweats in a 2 possession game...........well I’m not sure even my dumbass needs to pile on.

But, that said, it isn’t Cal folding. This seems to be more like a power struggle and he is damn sure fighting that fight letting #BBN and these players know he is absolutely in control and we can get pumped.

SAE, when getting your 2nd shot would you mind asking when people without an immune system can get theirs so we can go to Tampa too. Also if there’s still a little left in the vial could you have them hold it for me? Thanks in advance

Ron, that’s every Monday night through Tuesday for me. Then the monthly 1-2 pints of blood taken and Chemo on Thursday. Must suck to have to endure one night of missing a crap team so you can live.
Just a heads up from someone that has been pumped full of harsh meds and the side effects.
Eat heavy, healthy meals beforehand, drink tons of water only, before and especially after, if you can take a pain or sleeping pill (I’m not allowed either) take it and pass tf out. Pretty simple for a one day inconvenience. Or grow a set and cowboy up like me, ffs.

SAE, Tampa, BFE, hell even Cincy or Cleveland would seem like heaven after this last year. But congratulations, at least you’ll be safe to go. Be sure to post a bunch of pics and send postcards.

Thought it was funny that Cal basically had to apologize for his post-game red ***, talking **** about a player which is basically how all of us wake up each morning after a game and look at our group texts and posts from the night before.

He's become one of us at this point. One of us, an irrational, stubborn and irritable lunatic that cant keep his emotions in check is the head men's basketball coach at the University of Kentucky.

Just a thought: this year has to be by far the earliest that the Beans have had to go thru and cancel hotels, rental cars, airport shuttles, dinner reservations, ticket requests, and VIP table service at 37 different potential locations. Lotta work. Wonder when they started that process? 3 weeks ago? 4?

Jesus Christ. A whole lot of other people here have gotten the vaccine also. Just so we're clear. Also, I didn't misrepresent myself, lie, or cut anyone. I registered when Baptist said I could, and Baptist encouraged me and everyone who did so to come get the vaccine in spite of their apparent mistake. I'm extremely grateful for that.

Let's also be clear about this. I haven't flouted any CDC recommendations. I wore a mask before they were mandatory. I never espoused the virus as fake, or being a conspiracy, or even being politically charged, as others here now pissed off about some folks getting vaccinated before them.

But I am a married taxpayer with 2 kids, and I've kept them and my house virus free for nearly 12 months while following the rules and sending them to school. If one of the largest healthcare providers in the state is good with me getting the vaccine at this point, then I'll take it.

I'm sorry you're ill and I don't mean to make light of that, but direct whatever angst you have about me getting vaccinated elsewhere. And if you can't or won't, then F all the way off.
