I made a mistake yesterday, and wasn't quite clear enough. Henleys are terrible. Anth probably has one that's made by a a gay Italian designer and cost $175. For a t-shirt with buttons.

Dress accordingly.

I DO dress accordingly. My friends tell me that The Dude dresses better than I do, and so a "Henley" is a "fancy go to meetin' shirt" for me...

-I own a couple, and no strong opinion on them tbh. Got a warm one from LL Bean that's nice in the winter. Also, haven't worn them in front of weird concrete buildings with my nips poking out. Or at least used that as a profile pick. Woken is a douche. Deleting him from my life, other than you losers continuing to being him back, has been great.

-eating 5 (square) slices of pizza for lunch is going to be a bad idea.

-pretzel seems to like lawyering more than the rest of you miserable attorneys. I like a good optimistic person.

-Sloot has never sent me flowers, hussy. I want my office to smell nice.

-Stoked for Gatewood. Be nice if he got a little help from his receivers. Is Smoke back?

-Wodie in Vegas has me super jelly, I know it's for disgusting degenerate trash and I shouldn't subject myself to lowlife scum or the working class ruffians, but dang... I miss that place.

Doing all civil defense helps make lawyering a little more fun. I never have to worry about my clients paying anymore. I learned this year I have ADHD, so I love the wide variety of new things and people I get to research and talk to daily. I get to talk to doctors and felons and everyone in between and then go home without horrible case facts following me. Life's lighter than when I did family law and plaintiff's work. Never again.

The billable hour is a miserable structure though.

WHILE ALL OF THE FILTHY UNEDUCATED RUBES IN THE DEEP SOUTH CELEBRATE ANOTHER TOUCHDOWN FILLED AUTUMN SATURDAY THERE’S A GREATER CONCERN HERE. A CONCERN THAT BECKONS QUESTIONS ON OUR SOCIETAL EMPHASIS AS A YOUNG TREVOR LAWRENCE SITS INSIDE HIS DORMITORY TOMORROW ALONE ROTTING HIS CORPSE AWAY WHILE HIS TEAMMATES & COACH CONTINUE TO PLAY A GAME THAT IS TOTALLY MEANINGLESS.

Keep in mind, what makes a QB special is not a physical appearance or how well he looks in a football uniform (see Newton, Morgan). It is all what is between the ears and underneath the Henley. Play smart, have heart. Make the correct read in the RPO, if no one is open, do not force it, make a decision don't be hesitant, and protect the football and watch your blind side.

The key to the Heat offense is the pick and roll / pick and pop. It starts with Bam at the top of the key, not with Bam under the basket (take notes Cal). But you have to have a big that can make the correct read in the P&P / P&R, and a guard who can drive it, and shoot. We have both this year (Askew / Sarr), but just like Miami, we have shooters and multi dimensional players who can score from all three levels. Veteran leadership with Sarr and Mintz will be very crucial and beneficial.

Getting Smoke and hopefully Oliver back can only help. Maybe blitz the hell out of Stetson Rich Boy the 4th and make him sweat his henley and make bad decisions. Win the turnover battle, T.O.P. and keep it close for a chance.

Fixed a instant pot recipe with a sirloin roast, carrots, potatoes in beef broth. Was very tasty. Amazing little creation that instant pot is. Simple / efficient just like UK's offense should be.

Friday Spooky Randoms:

- I am now the daughter of a teenage girl. That's as spooky as I can make this rundown. Now on to other regular random stuff.

- For all of the fast food breakfast discussion that gets thrown around on here, I'm surprised the Supersonic Breakfast Burrito from Sonic doesn't get more run. It's the best ff breakfast burrito in the game imo.

- My son is playing tackle football for the first time this year. He had played some flag football when he was younger and has been itching to try it out for full contact. So he's been doing a little special league in Warren County and is on a pretty big team full of 5th graders.

Anyway, they had a game over in adjacent county a couple of weeks ago (that gloriously beautiful UT Saturday). When we pull up in the parking lot, I get his shoulder pads out and start prepping him to get ready. We always put the jersey over the shoulder pads first (you know, like a pro) and then slide the pads over his noggin and onto his torso. Except this time, I had forgotten to loosen the drawstrings and they got hung on his head. When I yanked them down, I might as well have administered a Stone Cold Stunner. Little dude was done. It took him 2 more days to get his flexibility back. I totally pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve or something, effectively ending his day just like Tyrod Taylor's doctor did.

Also, last Saturday he was running around the basement of my childhood home with his cousins and chipped 6 of his teeth. He had those suckers bonded on Monday and can't really do contact drills for another 5-7 days. So, yeah.

- What's the deal with this Yeungling Hersheys Lager? Anyone tried it? Seems like something for Halloween, but I'm not really wanting to purchase it if no one else can vouch.

- Jim Rome's take on Halloween is still the correct take. I think PTI usually posts it so he can do the honors.

- Stay safe, gang.

-segunda just got the call from HC basketball coach...wants her to play with the HS team this year. The Mrs. is worried about "burnout" or whatevs...i told her to stay in her lane.

#teammarinovich

Rudd, if you've ever heard of the podcast Crime in Sports, the Todd Marinovich episode (#159) covers his dad turning him into a kidney-gummie-eating robot football player. The Pacman Jones episode might be my all time favorite though. Any NKYballs eaten at his pizza joint in Latonia? Apparently the man loves arugula.

His dad also helped him through his drug addiction. Marinovich was a willing participant. Marv is a good father.

Picked up an Evan Williams 23yr. Just fantastic stuff.

I was given a taste of their master blend, which they include some 23yr old in that, and after asking WTF they were thinking with that I realized it is good still and the little lady doesn’t get it. But when you price a 23yr old bottle at $350 retail, but mix it in with the single barrel, bottle in bond and 12 year like a mixed mutt, well, it just devalues the 23yr instead of its intended purpose of allowing a reason to charge more for the master blend.

- Halloween is great. Right in a kids wheelhouse as long as the weather is good, and this year it will be.

- Meat Slicer is for the stuff I smoke and want slices for sandwiches. For example, I smoked a pork tenderloin.......it’s fantastic, and I was thinking if sliced thin with some spicy BBQ, bacon, a slice of cheese and a few pickles then it would also make a great sandwich.

Found some restaurant style slicers for $100.

- Trying some wings for our neighborhood Halloween “thing”. Really need to get a deep fryer too, to flash fry them.

Honestly just need a small restaurant as my kitchen(note to self)

- Down Home Toasted Rye has hit shelves, and seems to be a huge hit from all the feedback I’m getting.

- If we focus, this team can beat UGA and I’d feel that way no matter who our QB is. I honestly think the game plan should be a game managing QB, run heavy, bend but don’t break defense.

We have that kind of talent, and as long as we don’t beat ourselves that game plan has had us in some games we probably had no business in.

I’d like to think we can beat UGA led by a kicker at QB, but I refuse to set myself up for let down.

- Enjoy your weekend guys and gals, the forecast is set for an actual fall like beautiful weekend!

  • An activist judge in Louisville just shut down the vote on whether to raise property taxes 10% for the schools, effectively locking in the increase. This was already on the ballot, meaning if you have voted for it or you're going to the polls on Tuesday, it will still be on the ballot. I thought you libs are 'bout-it, 'bout-it for democracy and voting?
  • I know you guys love spending $350 on bottles of Bourbon, and frankly, you may be onto something with the 18 year Elijah Craig, but for my money the Elijah Craig small batch for $25 is damn good. As in I'm not really sure from a utility / $ perspective if I've found anything better.
  • Terry Wilson hit me with a tight spiral in the stands after the Belk Bowl last year. For that reason alone, he'll always have a place in my heart regardless of whether we see him play again at UK.
  • The Cantonese Duck at Joy Luck is delicious. It's my go-to for Christmas Dinner, but started working it into the monthly rotation.
  • The last 6 days of dogshit weather better not be what this winter is all about. Gym hours are reduced so the only exercise I can get is to go out and run. Awful.

The 18 yr EC I was referring to earlier this week(maybe yday) was barreled pre fire in 1983, and has been noted by many that EC dumped all their older aged stuff into the 18 yr bottles because it sold and they needed it gone. Also, and I don’t know this myself yet, all the stuff pre fire was different/better.

The bottle I paid 350 today from Evan Williams, is regarded by a lot of people as the best 20+ aged bourbon to get, and I was offered(and turned down) $600 the minute I left the gift shop with it.

23 years old which means those barrels yield 60-80 bottles per barrel depending on proof.
