Nothing wrong with a nice henley.

Doesn’t mean you have to wear it for a picture you wanna broadcast to the world though. Especially if it’s a bad one that makes you look like a background extra in “Less Than Zero”.

### points for using EA-Poe’s idea of gross -

OK so I’ve realized this whole .....surprise-monkey. - thing ....

....ties in with the change.

I don’t think young men get enough of ....a REALLY accurate heads up — on how profound women can change —— later on

I guess it normally happens when they're just - you know- becoming more beautiful and ****

That and ....having like short cycles and tics of “someone else” driving her behaviors - mixed with a malicious remote hacking of her internal regulatory systems. —

I wear a Henley almost daily for working and leisure. Carhartt xxl tall, keeps the butt crack tucked away and doesn't constrict my neck. Material is thick enough to conceal excited nipples too.

Thoughts on the start of the Gatewood Era?
Now into year 8 of the Stoops era, the best QB he's had was a WR forced into the QB position in the middle of the season.

There is an obvious issue with the passing game under Stoops and the development of players at the QB and WR positions.

My fear is that Gatewood is just the next guy being forced to fight a gun battle without any ammunition.

I’m not a real football but it seems that Gran’s offense has always had pass plays that take a long time to develop (or is that the QB holding the ball, all of them?) and despite the lip service a gross underutilization of the TE and quick hitting slants.

I was texting Chase and Bbdk during the second half of the UT game and TW hit two quick slant routes and a TE during one drive...joking (not really) “will be awesome to see that again, next season”.

- Inlaws are leaving on Sunday after two months with us. They have been a great help and always nice to have around but I think we’re ready to tackle this parenting thing on our own.

- Wife and I had a date last night at Bakers Table which is just an awesome spot a few blocks over. Had some great red wine and a pour of Elijah Craig Toasted. Was nice being out and to get the wife a buzz for the first time since January. She earned it.

- Surprised no one has mentioned Jai Lucas and Barbee switching roles. Looks like we’re grabbing Daimion Collins soon. That hire is already paying bigtime dividends.

- Dude’s barely played but Gatewood already looks the part in how he moves and throws the ball. Terry never did.

Doesn't this mean if Cal gets tossed in a game Barbee takes over the game? Major downgrade from Kenny Payne.

I made a mistake yesterday, and wasn't quite clear enough. Henleys are terrible. Anth probably has one that's made by a a gay Italian designer and cost $175. For a t-shirt with buttons.

Dress accordingly.

- BULLISH on Jai Lucas and his role. This is what the staff needed. Lucas has invaluable contacts in Texas and seems to have cred in recruiting circles and connects with the kids.

Now I want to see Cal put his money where his mouth is in regards to TWEAKING his offensive philosophy some after watching how the NBA Bubble played out and more specifically the grand success our dudes had. We shall see.

- I’m really intrigued to see how the Cats respond after last weekend’s debacle. Chad is right, Gatewood looks the part. He zips the damn ball out of his hand. Physically he looks like he can have pocket presence.

Schematically on defense we matchup ok with UGA. They don’t employ an up tempo hurry up scheme with pre snap motion/eye candy to fool you like Ole Miss or Missouri.

Like many things, the truth is in the middle. After crushing UT everyone was on cloud 9 world beater mode and after Missouri it appeared we had slid back to bottom feeder status.

I still believe we have a good football team and maybe with Gatewood and finding our run heavy/physical identity again there will be a spark.

OR MAYBE THERE WON’T but worse case scenario I get to enjoy a beautiful fall afternoon at Commonwealth with some buddies. Rocky Mountain Soda numero uno will be cracked no later than 10:05 am.

- Picked up a 50” TCL Roku tv a few weeks for the patio. Stream games, Netflix, Disney +, Amazon tv, etc. Movie night tonight with Lass and lil lassies. Fire pit. Hot za. S’mores. Domestos. The works, really.

If he doesn't update his offense to reflect the changing times of the NBA -- shooting more 3s, less posting up, smaller and more versatile big men -- then this whole "Players First" routine is just a bunch of hot f'ing garbage.

Cal should have flown down to Miami and got some pointers from Spolestra on the offense he was running in the Bubble: Screening, cutting, movement.

But I’m sure screaming “Goooooooooooo!” and force feeding the ball in a crowded lane to Sarr will work just as well.

I'm hopeful that a little quarantine time for Cal without him jetting around and doing 45 billion things at once might be good for him and UK. His greatest strength historically is innovation and reacting to circumstances. Hopefully he goes back to his roots.

- Henleys, when they fit the wearer and the wearer doesn't have acute gynecomastia, are A+ casual wear for dudes. Wolken is terrible for so many reasons, and one of them is what he's doing to that poor shirt. Clean it up Dan.

- Fellas, never underestimate the power of sending your lass flowers to her office. I got birthday flowers and not only are the other hens eyeballing them, but my office smells lovely and it's 85% more pleasant for me to sit in here working. Order, nice note, profit.

- Speaking of office hens, is it an unwritten law that all law firm support staff have to be malcontents and snipe at each other constantly? I'll grant they do have to put up with a bunch of lawyers, so that's terrible, but even so. At my old firm three 50+ year old secretaries got into a screaming match calling each other coonts and bitches because one put in for a request off without telling one of the others. One slammed the conference room into the foot of another one. No one got fired. Reason number zillion I left that place.

- That firm also had a runner (which is worthless in the age of e-filing, but okay) who used to cover the front desk at lunchtime. He got caught googling "notty school girl porn" while clients sat in the waiting room four feet away from him. Also did not get canned.

* 93.4% chance Gatewood gets killed in the first quarter.

* I was neutral on henleys before, but I will now wear them as much as possible with my cargo shorts just so it disgusts you wannabe fashionistas on here. What a bunch of touching hens. (admittedly typed by someone with GYERO's 3rd or 4th worst fashion sense)

And PTI? Damn, son. Just wear something that doesn't smell like the Natchitoches Parrish 50-Mile Fun Run for ********.

* Gran had a dynamic, exciting offense at UC. Gotta believe Stoops is putting a restrictor plate on the play calling.

Or maybe Gran just lost his creativity. No matter who the architect is, it would be nice to modernize the X's and O's a bit.

But, as others have noted, we should be a run-heavy team with this group. We have the OL for it, we have the RBs for it and with Gatewood we appear to have a QB who can successfully make a decision on when to keep it, hand it off or throw a quick pass. In theory, we should then be able to then hit the extremely rare, mythical downfield play action pass on occassion.

* Had a former HS basketball teammate OD on heroin yesterday. 2 years older than me. Dude was a great athlete, played football at Cumberland and Thomas More.

Good family, good upbringing. Evil ****, man. Don't ever start doing heroin and it won't be so hard to quit, kids.

* Mandalorian tonight. Eek.

* Had a 35-person Super Spreader event at my house last Sunday. Smoked 14 lbs of chuck roast for sandwiches and 5 racks of ribs for sheer gluttony. Made sure everyone had plenty to take home.

My buddy who passed away a few months ago's 9-yo son played soccer up here in Loveland, so we all went to the game and went to my house afterward. We have a nice group who is trying to look out for the kids and their Mom. We go to various games & events and we just had their front porch steps fixed, etc.

* Fire pit, college football on an outdoor tv, bourbon and a social distance friendly candy bar gun my neighbor is still perfecting at the end of the cul-de-sac tomorrow night.

* I'm looking forward to seeing the Gyero children in full costume on Facebook. Lots of new editions this year! At least 2020 was good for something.

* Don't eat it if it ain't wrapped, kids. (No Boat... don't go there.)

Have a great Halloween, gyero! You have my permission to leave early today if you are comfortable with your workload.

In my experience, Such office hen behavior is not relegated to the legal profession. Forming cliques, waging war against other cliques, leaving one clique to align with another, more war...basically modern day GOT.

I don’t think Gatewood gets killed. Or at least it won’t be the O Line’s doing. We do have one of the best lines in the country.

Maybe we run some scaled back variation of what we did last season with Bowden.

I think part of the reason Terry takes sacks is because his decision making in the pocket can be flat out awful at times. Stoops and Gran have also said multiple times this fall he doesn’t make the right read on the RPO stuff.

Whatever.. I also think subconsciously I’m convincing myself to take the Cats +17.

Trick or Treat Rando’s

-Lass sent a pic of her Halloween get up this morning. Then she sent a pic of her not wearing it. ‘Tis the season.

-Watched DoKtor Sleep last night. It’s no Shining but solid horror flick imho. Kind of off putting watching some rando do a Nicholson impersonation because I guess they couldn’t get the rights to the footage from the original film but otherwise a decent follow up.

-Let’s just try not to embarrass ourselves tomorrow against UGA and maybe not look totally inept on O. Hope Gatewood is the answer but I’d be lying if I said I don’t think it’ll make much difference.

-Need me a good steak dinner and some brown water. #nobutter

-I’m on a fast train honey. Wasn’t born no yesterday. I got a good Christian raising and an eighth grade education and I don’t need ya’ll treating me this way.

I think it’s a huge misconception that quarterbacks get killed because of a failing offensive line, when in reality it’s their fast decision making and quick release that typically keeps them safe.

Terry, of course, has neither.
