Well, it took me 41 years, but I'm finally going to cross off a major bucket list item ----> joined an actual bowling league starting mid November with some golf rascals. [smoke]

Just a little 7 week deal on Thursday nights so no potential UK Hoops conflicts, but I'm pretty damn excited about it.
Have given a lot of thought to doing the same - I have low key been watching way too much PBA Bowling lately. #JakobButturffFTW

- Voted this weekend, did the mail in ballot thing. This guy ain't standing in line for ****.

- rudd, go full size its just not even comparable. To me most sedans have more room than the "mid-size" trucks. Grabbed a new Sierra Denali back in May coming from a Tundra. No complains after 10K, and that multi function tailgate is wodie. I've utilized it quite a bit. The new Chevy's look like they tried to put a Transformer mask on the grill.

Honestly if bowling wasn’t done in a dark sunless alley and moved to some Top Golf style outdoor arena, it would overtake golf in popularity.

Bowling is great on a cold, rainy, Sunday afternoon. The *commitment* to a league about 3 weeks into it is pure pain.

205 avg yrs back. Probably couldn't crack 150 now.

* If I had my choice between my first job out of college, or playing basketball professionally overseas, I'd take the ball gig.

* The W2 flopout story --> former TCP legend UKFBLOCO was complaining about how his girlfriend was looking for a job, and couldn't find anything paying more than [insert very nominal amount here]. I clowned him in my mid-20s arrogance by saying I made multiples of that. When he didn't believe me, I fired back with a "gimme your fax number, and I'll send you a copy of my W2."

* Speaking of old s***, Shutterfly is damn good. Turns out I've got two accounts, one thru my current Gmail address, and one thru my very old, unused Yahoo address.

gmail = only has ONE pic. the one of a dude's D hanging out his jeans that i used in my christmas party gag gift one year. i uploaded it to a christmas card, along with the caption "merry christmas from my d***. love, assistbyhawkins."

yahoo = a treasure trove of old wodie crew pics from 2004 or so. including anth and WodieSloot's first "date," I think. The one where BlueKel came to our tailgate. Plenty of old noods from my very ethically challenged old flame in Knoxville. BBdK and his fake-tattied ex. Good stuff.

* Happy birthday, belated, to The King. /pope

* For poops and giggles, I filled out some form online to volunteer to work the polls on election day. Turns out there was all kinds of work you had to do beforehand to qualify. So, no thanks.

* Cheese Its are addictive AF.

* Braves are gonna win the World Series. They're undefeated in the postseason thus far, for pete's sake.

* Every day should be....

a) earth day
b) saturday
c) Amazon Prime Day

Gonna go with c, personally.

We named our sixth grade bowling team “The Blue-Footed Boobies” so the principal would have to say the word “boobies” to the entire school bi-weekly as he announced that day’s intramural bowling league matchups.

In hindsight, bowling league matchups and lane assignments making the afternoon announcements is almost funnier than making him say “boobies” for a couple months. Almost.

We also had a lot of fun with the overhead projector and insulting people like Wayne’s World with the cue cards. “This kid blows goats.” *while using the score keeping pencil as arrow to track the kid as he tries to walk away from the lane.* Even the bowling alley staff appreciated that bit.

I'm guessing you were the only person in the world who had an above ground pool but wasn't in a bowling league.

UKFBLOCO / UKFBNUT was the life of the party back in the aughts, until said girlfriend turned into wife. I believe she was an ardent IU fan. Must’ve quickly killed that dude inside... never to return.

#RIP to your dreams my ol wildcat friend.

Speaking of IU, Archie needs to capitalize on this upcoming season. He has nearly everyone returning, a B10 POY candidate in TJD and a 5 star freshman PG coming into the fold with Lander.
I don't see it happening though. They'll be middle of the pack in conference, bubble team, 1st round exit whether it's NCAA or NIT. He'll get fired and they'll hire Beard.

I have MANY pictures on an old Shutterfly account from a couple GYERO parties I had at my old pad, mid 2000s. While there are some absolute classics, I was asked many years ago to not post them, so I wont. S everal G Unit pics with some coked up hooker, Wodie sweating, because that's what Wodie does. PTi with a couple of his dozens of girlfriends from that era. The Judge, Chad, Dan, and the rest of the crew in their prime. And of course the early years of Anth & Sloot and 80 & B Money. Life sure was alot more stress free back in those days.

Now that I'm thinking about it, was I asked not to post pics of the parties or of HHI? Hell I can't remember.

Those were GYERO's brightest days.

Someone please post the pic of PTI taking home UT Defensive Coordinator at the time, John Chavis, on Broadway in Nashville.

I also need the infamous email from Wodie’s Louisville Mojo heyday...Please delete my number from your phone. Last night you farted & snored non stop in your sleep and when I woke up there was an empty pizza box in my kitchen used as an ashtray littered with empty cigarette butts and the kitchen door was wide open.

I mean, her favorite artist was Brotha Lynch Hung. If you're not familiar, you can google...and while he has some bangers, his claim to fame is being the most disturbing/psycho hip hop dude, ever -- and it's not close.

Someone around here worshipped....MattsCatts maybe? (He seems to have disappeared again btw)

'Locc to Da Brain' :fire:

It was the shortest and simplest ending to a 'relationship' I've ever had. Short email to her, short response back, and obviously never spoke again.

Feel free to use.

You jimmies see where St. Molly's is rebranding to something called "The Raven?" I guess it's a play on the self-dubbed LAMAR BAR they were promoting for all of your Baltimore Ravens games. Whatever. It'll probably be an improvement; that place had gotten pretty tired.

Curious of this new place The Ainsworth going in across the street in the old BBC space. We'll see, I guess. Looks pretty cheesy.

RIP Brendan's. Place was wodie. Just the right amount of sultriness.

Been really missing Patrick's lately, of course. :weary:

Saw that yesterday. The Raven? Wtf, That's awful.

Ainsworth is dope, NYC Staple. Nothing special really, just a "nicer" sports bar setting, with elevated food/cocktails. I'm guessing the Beans already bought a lifetime table.

The Manhattan Project fits that bill of a high-end sports bar. Upscale bar food, tons of tv's, premium bourbon selection, hint of extracurricular activities going on in the backroom. If it was in St. Matt's rather than Clifton it'd be ***-to-elbow every gam3day.
