I had an 8 year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback. She was my doggie daughter. We thought she’d enjoy company so we brought in a pup (another female) Ridgeback.

Our old gal, ever-submissive; cowered In living room corner and refused to eat, poop, pee and tried to run out the door to escape. Perfectly adjusted & trained, she was instantly a wreck.

Then she got a urinary tract infection and started shaking.

We sadly returned the pup to the breeder a week and a half later.

Old gal miraculously and instantly recovered.

was told that if you bring a second dog into a female doggie home, make sure it’s a male.

dogs bruh.

.25 of a mile. Straight shot, one 4 way stop sign. Backing out of my drive way to getting out of my car in my parking space at work takes me 1:04. That is driving slow / speed limit (25mph).

Need to use Gatewood a MINIMUM of two series per half to change it up, make the opposing DC game plan for him, see what the kid has. Give him at least one play of play action, throw a deep ball /a couple of Wildcat runs at the least.

Dak's injury was brutal, signing the "Red Rifle" does not look so bad now. (Don't eff this up Red Rocket) Will actually benefit the Cowboys defense. They will be forced to run the ball more, thus keeping that gash of a defense off the field more and less time on it giving up big play after big play. Kind of like UK running Benny so much made UK's defense look better than it actually was.

Braves need to grab a game 1 victory if they have any shot (they don't). Which is why I loaded up on the Dodgers over 2 runs for the first 5 innings

I saw 10 too

Work from home 3-4 days a week

Work 25ish miles away 1-2 days a week at the farm

Canadian bacon sucks, it isn't even bacon. Maple syrup makes up for it though.

4 years ago I won an absolute pile on bet365 and being a superstitious gambler at the time, I cashed out and self excluded before I lost any back

Re opened my account recently because Covid is boring. Found out my buddies are getting weekly free play. Eventually contacted support to ask where my free play was. Got told that due to previous “permanent” modifications to my
Account, I am ineligible for promotions.

In a dog fight with 2 females fighting, there's a better chance of one killing the other than with 2 males fighting.

- awarded guardianship of my mom today, but it’s emergency which doesn’t give me ability to sign to sell their home that is sold, already. Damn it.

- Nice little spot in Cadiz called Adam’s something or other........had a pumpkin, apple, bacon soup topped with walnuts. Fantastic for lunch today.

- Feel like the amount of bugs all over the front of the car is alarming, sure I went 100+ the whole way, but it’s WAY more than the typical 70-80 MPH bugs. I mean alarming!

- Saints -7 tonight.

- Great Wolf tomorrow. In a battle of the DEK’s in my cul de sac, the other kids were bragging about going Saturday and are already back today. My kids got the last laugh as we won’t be back until Friday. Wasn’t planned to be a bragging situation, but don’t be going at my kids because you went first........since we also got the late check out, see ya Saturday piss ants!

- My wife is a saint! There I said it.

- Our 1 year old is walking, **** is about to get real.

- Light at the end of the tunnel 2020, F U.

I’ve had a home office for years. Used to drive a ton, but between working for myself now, and the China Flu, I’ve only put ~ 1,500 miles on my car in 7 months. And I love that.

I was going to do the same thing and adopt another to keep my 9 yr old GSD/Collie company during the day. Was told by two rescues that is a bad idea unless you get another "senior" dog. Apparently the territorial and pack behavior takes over and sometimes the younger dog will attack the older. And they could get along for yrs then out of the blue they will attack if they see the older dog as getting weaker, etc. I don't know how valid it is and I'm sure many people have been successful in mixing older/younger together. But this dog dad ain't taking nary chance on something hurting my girl.

I don’t know what rescues told you that but I have not found that to be true and the rescues I am affiliated with would not make a blanket statement like that.

Every dog is different and have different personalities but age really isn’t a factor.
Your vet or a canine behavior specialist can perhaps give you better advice.

It is true that some dogs need to be “only”

dogs, but I have twice adopted younger dogs to be a companion to a more senior dog and it was fine. Even brought a little new life and energy to my older dogs.

There are many well meaning rescues that don’t necessarily have the behavior background to give that kind of advice.

Changing the subject; I have a brand new baby granddaughter. Mother and baby are doing well. It is killing me that I couldn’t go to the hospital to meet her. Can’t wait till she comes home!

Been looking at this one for a while. I remember smoking around these at the bar in college. They did the job, but I don't know if you could just casually sit around one in the dead of winter and be comfy.

Have a Mr Heater propane cabinet. Not stylish but functional. Throws out the heat and keeps you warm outside. Also have a Bond tabletop “fire pit”, it’s puts out pretty good heat as well.

~ Spooky season in full effect at home. Watched Us this past weekend between the second half domination of MSU and began the Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. Would recommend both.

~ Impressed the missus with my culinary skills Saturday night leading to more gin than anticipated. Secured the bag, as the kids say.

~ Looking into a Tacoma grill for my new truck. Surprised at the cost, figured it would be more.

~ C. R. U. S. H. I. N. G. it at work. Personal records in every category. Might even get my first gold plated W-2.

~ I've now been involved in altercations with non-mask conspiracy theorists and mask nazis in public. Here's a neat tip, they're all the same.

~ Speaking of people being the same, George Carlin on heavy rotation lately. That dude had us pegged 30 years ago. I like to think guys like Burr and Chappelle carry that mantle well.

Corona got G.Y.E.R.O. like Cal coming out of the weight room covered in water. We're losing our swag.

-tennis game starting to click...any cky peeps that want to play, hit me up.

-fcps middle school basketball stuff starts back this evening. The kids need it. Fingers crossed.

-buying a new ride. Cant decide between a full size chevy or gmc pickup/taco...the latter worries me as to comfort. Spend a lot of time in my truck.

-I have nothing for horror films. Zero. F*ck that ****. I use the <Ernest Scared Stupid rule for my scary movie watching.

-My boy Peter Sagan FINALLY breaking through and getting a nice DUB today in the Giro. Breakaway to boot.

-8:45p and out cold. Woke up at 11:30p thinking it was time to go. Trying to get as much rest before #2 temporarily disrupts life.

-Concert scheduled for Rupp in December? That seems like a good sign for watching live basketball this season.

-Trying out The Stave this Friday. Heard good things. Probably swing in the WR gift shop and enjoy a slow drive back to town. Scenery is unreal out there.

-Sounds like the Paschal injury isn't bad. Shew. Need that dude.

-Gatewood package this weekend? Ok.

-chili weekend on tap. Texas style.

Well, it took me 41 years, but I'm finally going to cross off a major bucket list item ----> joined an actual bowling league starting mid November with some golf rascals. [smoke]

Just a little 7 week deal on Thursday nights so no potential UK Hoops conflicts, but I'm pretty damn excited about it.
