On the court I think LeBron is one of the best 3 players ever. Off the court, I think he has - at times - made some relatively poor decisions regarding his teammates / picking where he goes. You can say, "yeah, but he made the finals all those times". But look at the drop off when LeBron leaves. His former teams always suck. I thought the Miami move worked out well, but I kind of question everything he did when he went back to Cleveland. Again, not completely bad, but probably could have had more titles if he were a little smarter about it.

It will be interesting to see when he retires, buys an NBA team, and turns it into the next Charlotte Hornets.

Jordan beat a team of galactic aliens who had sapped the talents from several NBA stars' bodies in a winner-take-all game in an alternate, animated universe. So maybe let's pump the brakes on Lebron being the greatest until he does THAT.
Yeah but one of those aliens sapped skills from all time great Shawn Bradley so....

LeBron thought he could trademark Taco Tuesday.

I do like his show The Wall though.

I love Lebron because he's a student of the game and he's a coach on the floor. If you ever hear him mic'd up, it's incredible. He's talking the whole time. He also puts Larry Bird in his top 3 players of all time so he's obviously really smart.

Anybody who doesn’t have larry top 3 is a weirdo, had he not injured his hand and got to shoot with his normal release and not had back problems he’d be the GOAT

Lebron leans on upper management to put specific players around him (e.g., overpaying to get guys like Tristan Thompson). Then when Lebron leaves his former teams are usually complete trash. My argument is that he has - at times - done a crappy job of selecting the talent that he plays with. And the evidence is that after he leaves the remaining team twice couldn't win 20 games and the other time only won 37. Yes - it is a testament to how good he is that the drop off is that significant. But he absolutely had a hand in putting those teams together.

Not to sound like too huge of a *** (lol too late) but Jordan, in a league of ugly alien looking weirdos, was a good looking, extremely cool looking guy who’s style of play was extremely entertaining to watch. In terms of esthetics Jordan is far and away that best, which I think clouds people’s judgement. LeBron looks like a balding homeless man with that god awful beard.

Lebron looks a lot better than AD these days. It's like Mitch asked him to sport the checkerboards.

To me Skid Row was underrated for the casual music listener who didn't grow up listen to 80's hair bands deep tracks.

I always find it amazing that Lebron has been incredibly famous since he was 16 or so and had to grow up in the spotlight. He seems to be from a fairly rough background. Kobe at least had grown up under his father's tutelage in pro basketball.

If anyone followed any of us dumbasses' every move since 16 and the worst thing they could find is mild doucheyness, that's pretty amazing.

I can't stand him personally but he is a remarkable individual.

It’s not so much play to play physicality, it’s the “don’t bring that **** in here and try to embarrass me” tackles that people didn’t give a damn to put you in check

Lebron, as big as he is, already allows his game to be pushed outside more than he should. I can’t imagine he has the toughness, from what I’ve seen in his career, to continually push that strategy to get “his” like some did.

I could be wrong, and he is absolutely a Top 5 guy EVER, but to throw out a list of names at the rivals position is silly when those teams were really good and had dudes that put MJ on his *** multiple times.

I'm not a Lebron guy either. Lebron made me appreciate Kobe a lot more, but...

If Lebron did grow up in the No Babies Allowed era, the kid would have been a monster. He's probably better suited physically to play that style of ball. He would have demolished people. Can't really fault him for growing up in this euro-era.

Who was going to tackle LeBron in the 90's without literally tackling him and getting a flagrant? Again, he's bigger and more athletic than anyone from that era.

I give Jordan a slight edge, but James is 1b or a close second, and putting him in a different era kinda ruins your argument against the guy.

Legitimate longtime Bulls fan and Jordan honk here (Bulls, Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks, for the record; family ties to Chicago sports). And this is just the truth: LBJ is unreal and might be better than Jordan was. No one will ever know, but he is ridiculous. And I happen to agree that he is a product of his time. Had he been brought up in the "PHYSICAL 90'S?" Lulz. He would've mauled people.

In the NBA, where a lead (of any size) is 10000000% more meaningless than any other sport, this is an absolutely unbelievable stat.

Almost to the point where I want to call BS, but I'm sure Nick has done the homework on that. It's absurd.

A real dirtbag would make a joke about how LeBron didn’t do anything to Delonte West but how something awful happened to the one person we knew had relations with Michael Jordan’s mom but that person would be a real dirtbag.

You can easily create an argument that LeBron’s talent and overall skillset is superior to that of Jordan’s.

There isn't another human being that can duplicate what MJ did in terms of athleticism and body control with the ball....the first shot on this clip is sick.
