Top 5 Jimmy Buffett songs (that aren't on the yellow and red greatest hits album)

1> West Nashville Grand Ballroom Gown
2> God's Own Drunk
3> Nautical Wheelers
4> Last Mango In Paris
5> Tin Cup Chalice

Replace God’s Own with Manana and I couldn’t agree more. In fact, West Nashville Ballroom Gown is my favorite obscure Buffett song.

The virus is real, it kills some makes others very sick and does nothing to most that get it. Need to respect it and use proper hygiene, mask or social distance when possible.

The hypocrisy of mandates/political and social media grandstanding and dishonesty/inconsistency in reporting data to the public is what grinds my gears as it should yours because those in charge are operating largely without the checks and balances of our normal system. Depending on their whim they will choose our laws based on what medical experts and scientists they choose to believe...because this is all new and there is no consensus of opinion. Just look at Europe, a variety of different approaches yielding different results and different conclusions.

So, yeah, they need to be called out.

It also doesn't help that the US has 50 different separate entities when it comes to dealing with COVID-19, versus the countries in Europe who can make sweeping regulations and everyone falls in line.

Yeah, basically we're FUBAR.

Supposed to fly to Chicago this weekend, playing Ruffled Feathers and Dubsdread again. Illinois started the 14 day quarantine for visitors from certain states. Gotta check daily to make sure Ohio wasn't added.

Ok, this is sports related but can someone explain why we're testing college students and athletes(pro or college) at a much higher % and frequency than any other industry? They're suggesting colleges test the student pop twice a week. Some sports are testing daily. How are they more exposed than people who've been in the work force the whole time? No one else, I'm aware of, is even close to that level of testing.

I mean, I work in hospitals and have been tested 0 times.

Everyone gets a temperature check everyday, and some places twice a day, but that’s it unless you become symptomatic. That’s all they are doing for frontline healthcare workers in this state...just saying.

“Six hours later we hit Cincinnati
Yawnin', she woke and then asked where we were
When she found out, she said I must be goin'
This close to Nashville was too close for her”

I mean if this doesn’t put a smile on your face I don’t know what will

Because it’s a “woke” issue?

No one cares about the workers at ABC Construction or XYZ grocery store.

-i don't know about the first part and i guess grocery stores are essential...and while im glad that my industry was deemed "essential", i assumed they needed *some* payroll tax revenue...and figured construction types (necks and mexicans)are less prone to fear and anxiety...or (more likely) expendable. Maybe im just being cynical.

-Mashburned, my life hasn’t left much to leave me blushing but I’d absolutely love to read those kind of rants!

-Parents finally after 6 weeks in an assisted living facility have agreed to let us take care of them, shew! When I bought a boat in September and sold it in March, I thought that was peak stupid krazy. However, life does things that cause some decisions to look awful in hindsight........and buying a house in March that I will be putting up for sale in August might top it.

Your a idiot, krazy!

Building a rickhouse the same time I’m building a house should qualify me to be an expert in construction.

- I guess no Down Home at KSBar, really saw an opportunity to connect what he does to the bourbon world. Small fries I guess.

- Yellowstone is a helluva show if you are into western, rancher/cowboy, or corruption type drama.

- Along the lines of Anth having no time for anti 4th of July folk, If you just absolutely have nothing positive to live for or enjoy about life, I got no time for you.

Find **** to enjoy and dive in, IMO.

- Toasted Barrels deliver Thursday, 2 different kinds as a local group wanted a different one than I want.

Eek!!!!

Excited to have 2 options and see the difference before dumping all the juice into one type, in case I’m wrong on my pick.

For the athletes, it’s because they possess rare and valuable skills that make them worth more to the bottom line of their organizations than interoperable shelf stockers down at Kroger.

For the college students, the campuses need to go over-the-top to ensure that students (higher snowflake proportion) feel safe on campus and don’t get too comfortable with the notion of online learning. If students see the other side (if campus has to shutdown again) and realize that campus life isn’t really worth it after all, the universities will have their ridiculous tuition and administrator inflation bubble popped (sorry, Clark), IMO.

- Just because someone gained 50 pounds and added some strength doesn’t mean they gained 50 pounds “of muscle.” Bryson is big, strong, kinda fat guy with a huge frame. Let’s not pretend he’s some chiseled dude competing for Mr. Olympia.

I mean, if I had to wager money on it I'd guess he's dabbled in some illegal substances. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that he took it upon himself to be a touching maniac and transform his body. Plenty of people do the same in just 3 months with some diet changes. Check out ig @rp_transformations for some wild pics.

- krazy, any more toasted? Ship to Nashville?

- I've now had trips cancelled to Belize (x2), Tahoe, and likely Peru later this fall. Can't have nothin. Nothing to touching do except workout, drink, and work OT. Elective cases are still bumping, at least.

Thanks for all the nice comments on here today. Anth is probably correct that I take some things on here too personally. There are likely two reasons for this...most prominently because this is one of only two places on the internet that I actually stop to read people's opinions, as I have always enjoyed this thread. I think most of you (UK Dallas excluded) seem like reasonable, smart people and you make me laugh. So when those folks take what I think are somewhat unreasonable shots at me, it annoys me. I probably shouldn't take it personal but since I don't really KNOW you guys, that leads me to it. The only other place I read opinions is on my Twitter replies and 20 percent of those are moronic or wishing me death.

I didn't mean for it to seem like I don't like Wayne. I actually like him quite a bit. I was taken aback when I found out who he really was, and yes, part of that were his comments about me on here. But if there is anything I have learned over the years, it is that people are different online. And offline, Wayne is an awesome dude, with a terrific wife and has been kind to me at times in my life when I really needed it. So I will always be a Wayne Dougan fan, no matter how terrible his political takes on here are.

Speaking of terrible political (and life) takes, UKO may be one of the top 10 worst people I have encountered in Kentucky that hasn't committed a serious crime. He continues to post on a message board thread where clearly everyone loathes him and in a decade of looking at his comments, I am not sure I have ever seen anyone like them. He has created like 15 Twitter accounts and has tried to troll me on all of them but is too dumb to realize that if he uses the same dumb picture of himself as an avatar on each one, I will realize that he and his 6 followers are still pathetic, regardless of his latest attempt at a funny screen name. The good thing about someone so terrible? He can say something really ****** (like his family comment) and it matters not to me. If one is judged in life by your enemies (or haters) then there is no one I would rather have on the other side.

As far as politics/corona, I have grown tired of arguing about either one. Everything in politics is complicated and difficult if you get beyond the surface level arguments. Now no one wants to get past those arguments and they would rather divide/label/scream at people based on surface level stupidity. Here is a secret I have learned...I talked to Jamie Comer about AOC and AOC about Jamie Comer...and guess what. Both think the other one is very smart and like talking to the other about issues. Everything else is just political theater which networks then use to get ratings and unfortunately a vast majority of our electorate takes it seriously as a reason to hate their neighbor. It is tiresome. And then the team gamesmanship leads people to do things like rationalize to themselves that Donald Trump would be a good choice for President or getting rid of the police is a way to make society safer. It is a bizarre world and it is tiresome. And when it comes to corona, which literally NO ONE who has a strong opinion on truly understands viruses or contagious diseases, I get even more worn out. I don't know what will work, what won't work and how we will get out of this. But I know what we have done so far has been pretty piss poor.

I hope we have college football. I really need it from a business standpoint and want it from an enjoyment standpoint. But the more conversations I have with my ESPN bosses, the less confident I get. It sucks and I hate it

But I did love Bethpage Black today. What a course! Shot 84 and probably hit my driver better than I ever have consistently in my life. Course is brutally hard and I played from the whites (which was still 6900 yards). But what an experience. Highly recommend it.

Goodnight, Time to do my KSR homework

I’m pretty sure the Mexican guys building the monstrosity of a commercial/residential complex in my neighborhood aren’t scared of a little Covid. They never missed a day. And frankly, it has changed my view on immigration. I want more of those dudes. They aren’t pussies.

All I work with. And they are some tough sons of bitches.

- Feel like I’m losing touch with “back home” some and I don’t like it one bit. Need to make an effort to get back much more than I do.

- It’s a highly unpopular opinion but murder mysteries/true crime shows have always seemed awful to me. Taking actual murders/deaths (many unresolved) and packaging them as entertainment just seems gross.

- My full expectation is spring college football.

- When actual state budget cut numbers start coming out there are gonna be some people freak the touch out.

Keeneland summer meet starts today. Might be the first time I've ever tuned into TVG. Probably going to pour a nice brown water with a sprig of mint for the 8th and 9th races.

Also, I'm not a huge UFC fan but you can bet your sweet *** I'll be watching the PPV on Saturday.

Big ups to the sports that make stuff happen rather than having endless committee meetings.

Bethpage Black is still open to the public and (I believe) you must present your handicap at 2am on the line forming at the starter.

place is not for the faint at heart.

Covid death rate is .04% for people under 70. So yeah, let’s shut colleges and schools down. The health risk for influenza is greater to young people than Covid. Election year.

There was a This American Life episode about people on a crusade to end “Murder Mystery” parties. Their family members had actually been murdered in real life. It seemed ridiculous until they asked why people don’t have “Rape Mystery” parties as well.

First day back in the office yesterday after almost four months. Limited personnel, everyone wearing masks, social distancing and no meeting groups allowed larger than three. Seemed pretty pointless all things considered but I’m tired of working from home.

Had the son and his roommates out here for the fourth. No one wore masks and no one gave a **** about social distancing. He may be Half Black but his Kentucky Redneck genes shone through Saturday night. Grilled some nice cuts along with some home fries, smoked a nice Cohiba watching the bombs bursting in air and told the boys no hard liquor, only beer and if they were going to smoke the devil’s lettuce do it in their cars. #responsibleparenting

No football this Fall is just something I can’t stomach. I understand the why but ******** it I need this! Go it alone SEC.

Jimmy Buffet is Dave Mathews Band for Boomers.

My trip to Rio this fall is looking less and less likely.
