-I'l no fan of olives on tacos.

-Matt's biggest problem is he lets GYERO get him worked up. He takes things around here way too personal, when it's mostly guys poking at him because they're envious of his success. He does slip up and need to be checked occasionally but the whole theme here is making fun of each other.

-Revisionist History being back is a really nice break from the rest of the current event discussion. I'm digging this season.

-Speaking of random industries that are killing it in lock down, bike shops. Dropped a rim off to have a spoke repaired and the lead time is 2 weeks. Shesh.

-It is striking how little most people know about the virus. I know I've gone off the deep end but just general information after the headline. That's what's going to ruin our college seasons. Well that and people scared of liability, which I guess is fair.

So Wayne is an *** kisser.

Nah, he just didn't want to catch those hands when Matt ran up on him. he has heard the stories about Matt flexing of GYERO posters, he didn't want to be the next victim.

Agree with whoever said that you could get hits off Glavine. He was all about location, location, location (no real estate). Up, down, paint the corners. His hits per innings where not good. His fastball was upper 80's LOW 90's max.

Maddux had a little more pop with his fastball, but that damn circle change and 2 seamer was what made him great. He mostly stayed away from a hitter, that was what made him a great pitcher. So if his control was just a bit off and he could not paint that outside corner, he was hittable.

Smoltz if he missed on location, he had the heat to cover it up. The silder was deadly, then he knocked you out with the splitter if he got that far in the count.

BBdK once told me early in my GYERO career that he got me and PlayBall confused all the time.

In hindsight, it's the worst thing he's ever said about me.

(He was a good, sharp dude and has obviously made a great career for himself, but he is the consummate millennial journalist. [sick])

Yup...

For the amount of riding you indicate you do, might make sense to invest in another set of wheels.

I have my old set, it just makes a clicking sound that will drive me insane.

Would be the 3rd time I replaced this wheel. While I was standing there checking it in, I noticed it had the same hairline cracks as last season.

"You may need to replace this one."
"Oh really, I've replaced it 2 of the last 3 seasons."
"Where did you get them?"
"Here."
":oops:OOOOOOK. Let me see about a warranty on these."

Who on here is envious of his success? And for that matter, his "success" as what...a radio host? A restaurant owner? Many more "successful" posters on here than him, in regards to career, family life, etc.

My biggest fear when going downhill...small cracks on the wheels or the hubs. Always try to remember to take a quick inspect before I ride.
I have a set of blemish FLOs to swap out once in a while.

And yes, small clicking sounds on a long ride would drive me insane as well.

I don't know how much money Jones makes but I can assure you that his job seems a helluva lot more fun than mine is.

I mean, he did start it on his own little media empire from scratch...that is something to be proud of, regardless of how profitable it may or may not be.

The family life comment, well I guess how do you define success? Seems like a place to tread lightly.

Well I’m sure doesn’t portend anything

If a positive test is going to shut it down then we really don't need to spend time on trying to play to be honest. Looks like the PGA and Nascar are the only pro sports we are going to have as they have figured it out.

German Soccer, Premier League, horse racing.

I forgot horse racing for the US but team sports stand zero shot in the US.
Nah, they'll keep tripping over there dicks until one of them just rolls with it. Lebron being on a quest to win a title and not waste a valuable year will get the NBA over the hump.

College, hard for me to be really critical when we're talking about unpaid athletes. Granted statistically they're more likely to die of just about any other cause. A few of the older fatass coaches would be my only concern.

I don't understand why we can't just have them wear facemasks, worked for the protesters.

Also wanted to clarify, as I assume everyone here does, when I say German Soccer I really really get into the pronunciation of Bundesliga. Typically kinda sing it.

Speaking of a potential MLB season, I'm digging the 60 game sprint. (if it happens)

Gonna be hard to move forward with team sports as long as every organization keeps treating each positive test involving a young healthy asymptomatic athlete like it's the damn bubonic plague.

There are protective measures that can be taken (such as isolating the affected individual while regularly testing everybody else) that don't involve shutting the whole team down indefinitely.

Since we're talking Braves' baseball today, I would like to point out that Freddie Freeman is really struggling with COVID, so much so that Nick Markakis opted out for the season after discussing it with him.

-black olives on pizza is money.

-rosebud used to use pickled green cherry tomatoes in their martinis, sublime.

-tool had a song with an ominous sounding german spoken word thingy, terrifying...it was a cookie recipe.

-i am simultaneously proud of MJ(ky/mountain boy done good), irritated by his politics and completely baffled by the common stuff(words, truisms, trivia) he doesn't know as a transy/duke grad.

-braves fan is only slightly below cubs fan on the doucheometer.

Forbes has Jimmy Buffett's net worth at $550 million as of 2016. And his biggest song ever (by far) was the duo with Alan Jackson -- "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere."

Yet another celebrity I'm sure UKO isn't jealous of.

- My biggest problem with Wayne’s take is that he seemingly forgot that Maddux went to the Braves from Chicago.

- Jones comes across the radio as a “laws are for thee and not for me” type that is prevalent in DC.

Today a well mannered white man was exposed by a local radio personality for having a nasty attitude on a popular website.

GYERO would be a much better read if someone posted about Rex Chapman, for example, and then that clown actually logged in and typed off a rant that would make KrazyKat blush.
