Watermelon sucks and is pointless. Eat a nice honeycrisp apple.

Biden and his liberal ignorant cronies going to erase home loans next?

A cheeseball is a ridiculous invention.

  • Just got back from swim club with little man. He demanded I chuck him all over the pool. I obliged. Made me reminisce about my big guy Chemist in Lexington and the memory of chucking him felt like yesterday. I told my lil’guy, ‘There will be a time coming soon when I pick you up for the last time.’ So - I will continue on my current morning regimen to ensure I can keep launching him in the pool for at least a few more years.
  • NYC has elite pizza everywhere. NJ has good pizza everywhere, but you gotta hunt and find the good stuff.
  • Piermont NY is a great little artsy rivertown to grab a bite.
  • Would love to have laundry done. Broken washing machine has thrown the silky operation to the wind. Gross.
  • Watermelon served ice cold is a HOF summer staple. Watermelon juice and watermelon sushi can eat my ***, tho.

-Watermelon is a delightful treat and if some parents didn’t bring one to the Maysville CC when we were kids we were not happy, rarely happened they didn’t. We’d smash watermelon as a group of 3-14 year olds in the summer by the pool in about 15 minutes.

Also, as a kid having the ability to order whatever you wanted on your folks tab was amazing. 4 year old me, “I need two cheeseburgers extra fries please. 02847 is our account” and run right back and jump in the pool. 15 minutes later heaven was waiting for you. Also back in 86 parents didn’t make you do the ridiculous no swimming for 30 minutes. What kind of sissy *** kids couldn’t handle eating and swimming?

I like to consider myself a savage and still live a good fruit especially blueberries. Eat them in a jar
of peanut butter every night before bed or in bed.

Fruit isn’t flavored sugar either for whatever momo said that. It’s bound to fiber and releases much more slowly into the body than some damn candy which is like an adrenaline shot of sugar for the fats to get high on, just saying, candy is disgusting. Don’t @ me either.

Anyone else ever do that trick where you cut a hole in the top of a watermelon, and insert a bottle of vodka, upside down, to let it infuse overnight? It actually works. That melon will get you loaded. Haven’t done it since law school, if I recall correctly, which I probably don’t. Might bust it back out for Labor Day weekend festivities.
-Of course. That is a great boat/pool day treat or by a campfire on a hiking trip. Majestic even. Broke 4 months of sobriety one day eating that on a boat day at a sandbar. Hadn’t drank in so long I didn’t even think about it, should’ve known, it’s the Keys.

-First GAMEDAY Saturday. Can not wait for this. Team is feisty and upperclassmen getting on the younger guys saying this is the worst (name a position) group we’ve ever had, y’all are soft and expect life to be sweet here because we’ve been winning for years.

Love being “part” of the team. Miss that sports brotherhood. Makes me wonder how those guys in the “teams/special forces” feel about each other when it’s life and death. Wow.

Once it gets a little squishy you can turn it into Popsicles or a sports drink. 😉
You can also blend it with frozen* rosé for a tasty treat.

I did this for the Vanderbilt game in 2014 and will never do it again. I was so hungover I almost didn’t make it to the women’s basketball clinic the next day. But it worked out because I didn’t have to wait in line all morning with Sally Jo Wildcat and was able to walk right in and get my ball signed by all the players.

-I just watched the entire 2nd half of the Rhode Island @ Penn State soccer game (match?) (and would have watched it all if I remembered it had started) because one of our ring bearers, Quentin Flowers, plays for them. It ended in a 1-1 tie, but Q had some good plays.

Also, another good friend’s son (Myles Pollard) will be playing DB for Michigan this year. I tried (as did Vince Marrow) to get him to UK, but alas. Guess I’m gonna be logging a lot of time watching the Big Ten Network this fall.

*Rosé doesn’t freeze but it gets icy. Do not use ice because that will water it down and we can’t have that.

Yes, we Chops had Watermelon Bust. Think we had different themes for each shirt.

Pygmies always played that night.

Ron Mehico's post about his sister on page 9 of the Student Loan thread is a must read.

😂

* Does Lexington have a legit pizza joint? Goodfellas and Smashing Tomato are probably the best I've had but they're chains and, while they make a great pie, they don't compare to places you can find in bigger cities.

- Met Dennis Reynolds, the former poster here, last week at a fundraiser. Awesome dude.

- My place in DC is spotless, but when I'm on the road and not paying for the place, as nice as they are...trap house.

- Had my second bout of Covid...not as bad as the first time. Still sucked.

- Denver has an awful food scene.

- Finally have a few days to kick back next weekend. Got a suite at the Isle Casino in Blackhawk and f***ing off for a couple days.

- Front crown broke off in the middle of a meeting last week while biting my nails. Poor intern came as close as you can get to passing out without losing consciousness.

- 10 wins or bust this fall.

- #9 this Spring.

One of my good buddies is a single lawyer out in Denver who’s put together a decent crew if you are in the market for some pals.

- Love Sloot bringing the heat. You can tell everyone is pumped about football season and stepping their game up.

- I’d argue all Ron Mehico’s posts are must read, although i can’t find the student loan thread. Possible I’ve hidden the thread starter.

- Which of these debilitating maladies would you rather have to deal with:

* bad paper cut
* hiccups
* stiff neck
* eye lash in eye

- Seems to be a rash of bicyclists struck and killed up here lately, usually hit&runs of course. Stay safe.

- Wish I had as much power over someone as hairstylists do over women. The fealty and mind-f***ery is ridiculous.

“I can’t cancel on Brianna because she doesn’t have another opening until 2024.”

- Will always appreciate Kanye rhyming “Vandross” and “pants off.”

- Been greeting my more well-to-do friends with “How’s life in the fast lane?”

- My enthusiasm and confidence with the Cincinnati Bengals continues to grow. It’s a bizarre feeling. I about wrote those bastards off 100x in my life. Now, I’d run through a wall for Joe Burrow. Similar feelings for Stoops.

We get it, you hate the Fayette Co Board of Ed.

Sounds like a ridiculous lawsuit.
Lol. Yep I don’t like the way they run their business and it affects my kids so I will always advocate for my kids. If they run things a little cleaner there won’t be anything to report 😉. If you don’t want to hear the bad things FCPS does, then yes you should probably put me on ignore because I will always advocate for kids.

one thing I’ve learned about growing up foreign is that half the **** you thought was totally reasonable and normal growing up that your family did was actually bat **** crazy, as the reaction to that post proves yet again.

Dropped off my little girl for her first day of kindergarten at catholic school yesterday. Definitely some emotions I had to keep in check there. My main thoughts were I can’t believe my wife talked me into catholic school but the parents we’ve met so far have been great and all seem like heavy drinkers. I’m also thankful I have 2 boys and no more girls, as I can hopefully worry less about the boys.

-Back or neck pain is the worst. Somehow slightly jacked up my neck/upper back last night. Had to break down and take Motrin at 10p. It gets so bad so quick that honestly makes me feel sick. Then stretching, tens machine, and I'm back in the game.

-What about the time Rick Ross successfully rhymed Twenty Two (7) times in 4 bars?

-Wish I had the fortitude of the Mehicos but I'm fairly certain G would've been enrolled at NYU, drawing pictures, and butchering French. What a badass move.

-You surprised Pujols is back in StL and crushing the ball like it's 2008? I'm not 💉

-Early forecast is 85 for Saturday. Warm tailgate but temps should be perfect during the game.

-We basically stay on the bike trail for 75% of our ride these days. Other part is in town where a bad accident is less likely.

-You're going to become pals with your kids friends' family. Might as well accept it. We've been lucky to find a hell of a crew.

Marriage to the *right* person is probably the coolest thing on earth from the outside looking in.

Seeing couples who have some of the same interests, put each other first, have in laws who aren’t WAF. It’s the sole reason I’m getting married again (with a pre-nup). You folks who fall in that category give me hope.

-6 years no cigs today. That was one of the better things I've done for myself. I know we touched on addiction earlier, but man if I had a single Parliament I'd be right back to it. They're disgusting, terrible for you, etc. etc., but they're also F'n delicious paired with a cocktail.

-Goodie Mob getting a lot of run with me lately. Man I loved them back in the day and still do. Stuff has aged very nicely.

-Hammering UofL against Syracuse next week. Already hammered Kate -20 back in June.

-Here's where I am today with regular season wins prognosticating:

8 wins: 20%
9 wins: 45%
10 wins: 30%
12 wins: 5%

So 95% confident we cover that 7.5 O/U IMO.

-Frozen rising crust Freschetta cheese pizza supplemented with leftover grilled chicken and fresh basil, mozzarella and crushed red pepper is a decent little Thursday night dinner.

-Dad and 3 of my brothers are off to Germany in a few weeks. At 74 Dad's never left the States but will to visit the homeland with his sons but I couldn't keep it in my pants one night last January. Awesome.

-Man I F'n hate Tennessee Football. They make my blood boil just as much as UofL used to back when they were a real football program.

-Hair stuck in your throat is the absolute worst debilitating malady. I don't recall that happening to me much in college now that I think about it.

-I'm a sucker for George Clinton, but "Can't C Me" is my favorite 2 Pac song. Still completely slaps.

-Bop Gun > Grove Street

-If wcc's boy and his crew run with soft 6s with Daddy issues, Tommy should be in good shape.
