-Stay hydrated and stay regular, Bernie.
-Thought I was done with baseball but the allure of UNLIMITED SUMMER GAMBOL has me checking pitching matchups between the Phillies and Padres FFS. Nice lil 5 teamer yesterday...
-Watched the 2nd half of the Florida game last night and am now officially on the clock with waiting for football. Usually make it to June 1, but the "hell, SEC Media Days is only ____ away" came a little early this year.
-Shew bubbers Stoops was redhot after a garbage PI call on Valentine following a missed hold on Wandale the series before. Love that bastard.
-The first bloom on a bracken brown magnolia I planted 18 months ago arrived. That was satisfying. Tree is going to be an absolute joy to nurture and grow.
-Speaking of simple joys and the bottomless pursuit of satisfaction, Arthur Brooks' piece in the March Atlantic is excellent. I just found the magazine under an ever-present pile of **** in my kitchen that you may also have.
How to Want Less
-No taste or smell and still testing positive here on day 12. Fabulous.
-Mosquito defense for the yard is a worthy investment. Really makes the space far more enjoyable.
-I don't fux with bats but does anyone keep a bat hotel or whatever on their house? I love the idea of mitigating pesky insects the way God intended but I also love dousing my yard with unknown chemicals from some mysterious manufacturing plant because it works and I don't have to harbor bats.
-When my daughter is born in October my first born daughter will be halfway outta here to college. They'll only have 9 years together under the same roof. I really hate startling realizations about the brevity of it all like that.
-That Billy Napier honeymoon down in Gainesville is going to be awfully short after Big Blue rolls into town September 10th. Bitches.
-And another thing, Florida and Tennessee sure enjoy wearing their little orange britches in Lexington. Funny how a trip to Kroger Field has become a marquee game on their calendar, whether they admit it or not (they won't).
