Askew, Boston, and Skal seemed to be good kids and played hard, but were clearly overrated and in over their head. And Boston/Askew get even more of a benefit of the doubt from me because they played during the most bizarre, jacked-up season in history.

There's a difference between being overrated and being a headcase.

For the most part they all seem like good kids. With that being said I can’t control my bias against them

- Obviously it’s great that Oscar is back, but if three of your starters/crunchtime players are Wheeler, Toppin, and Oscar, I don’t think you’re winning anything of note in modern basketball. At least, not with our current playstyle and coaching philosophy.

- This is becoming untenable. Kind of an unreal situation. Using facilities, scholarship and NIL money, and taking up practice time on a kid who willingly never played because he wasn’t ready to play against Vandy and Ole Miss only for him to declare for the NBA 2 months later is a rough, rough look.

- Hagans missing from those lists.

- Fail and bail

Thank god Huber didnt waste any NIL cash on Sharpe- I dont want to see that MF'er anywhere near a Z400 Kubota

Love to get a comment on this from the "Is that a Harrison" guy
TyTy’s agent text yesterday. Get real man. I wouldn’t give him a ride if I saw him with his Porsche out of gas on the Bluegrass Parkway.

I think the best player(s) in the portal have yet to enter the portal. I could see a few more entering after the NBA draft deadline this weekend. They still have until May 1.

Having said that, there are still good options: that Iowa State PG, Reeves, Ramey, Shannon, etc. Get two of those and you're right there.

I’m not sure why a certain poster whose name rhymes with Raidy Claims is beyond reproach in this Sharpe situation. I feel like a few Kobe Bryant rookie cards could have kept Sharpe here for a couple years.

As much as we're pissed about how the Sharpe situation played out, something tells me that his actual performance on the court might have been just as frustrating.

Something about him and this whole situation doesn't set well and you have to wonder if this is the type of character we'd assume would be the killer we want from our "star".

Oh ********.

At worst they still knew he was likely to be eligible for the 2022 draft. The chances of him not being eligible seemed remote and it wasn't even a part of any discussion as to whether Sharpe would play next season. It was all about the Sharpe "Camp" promising UK that he would return next season and also feeding Kyle Tucker nonsense about the dangers of playing him this season.

Cal and UK should have recognized what was happening and avoided it. The risk of Sharpe actually playing next season somewhere else that took him in was miniscule and we lost big time recruiting opportunities in the interim.

Even if Cal was lied to about the graduation date, it still doesn't excuse the BS drama of allowing him on the team in January with no intention of playing him, especially when injuries were taking a toll.
What, and not get the Rupp crowd all worked up to arrive early to see him dunk in warmups...fake out like he is entering the game?

I will always cherish those memories as a fan.

In addition to the money pro basketball will bring Shaedon, that Dream City Academy Diploma will no doubt prove fruitful in his business pursuits as well.

Off topic: Went to my 2nd big time Minor League soccer match last night at Lynn Family Stadium on the scenic banks of the Ohio River. US Open match against St. Louis. Gotta say, it was awesome. Constant action. Not overproduced with berating music and advertising. Natural playing surface. Great venue. Man, was all around very refreshing for this sports ball.

Went to PKs and the Boys in Purple prevailed. Pretty dope, actually.
