The ONLY and I mean ONLY thing keeping me from full on Cal’s gotta go is I don’t know who the next guy is right now.

That's like if your spouse gets fat, bankrupts you, and starts banging your best friend and you say, "well the only thing keeping me from leaving her is that I don't know who my next woman is going to be." SAD!

How could you be worried about what coach will be after Cal? I’m thinking X’s and O’s wise, in game strategy, and adjusting will be so much better I’ll weather the recruiting storm.

The only thing I am disappointed about is seeing players from my childhood take over their alma maters, which I really thought John Pelphrey had a shot way back when he accepted the Arkansas job.

There is currently no one available for us in that capacity.

I’m telling you not even Vern would have made it through Joe B. and that’s being gracious. Just be glad you’re not going through this **** again for the 4th or 5th time. We’ll always bounce back as history has proven but it doesn’t take the suckage and redass out.

Mmmm, yes, Graf says Lucas would take the offer to go be an assistant at Duke if offered.

Might get dunked on by Scheyer’s Duke before game one. Talk about lowered standards.

i don’t know if this will happen, or not, but Graf is about as accurate at Walker was. I don’t put any stock in much of what he says. Same with Sisk.

It's everyone but Vern, right?
Can it even be referred to as the ***** Bus at this point? Might need an ocean liner. We are past the point where reasonable minds can disagree. Things are rotten in Denmark.

* Anyone got any recommendations for those home delivery meal kits? My wife worships them. She loves to cook but, God bless her heart, she ain't exactly Martha Stewart in the kitchen so it is a great convenience to get a box delivered with the ingredients already bought in the right quantities and a recipe included. Makes weeknights easy.

I personally think they are kind of stupid but why fight city hall? Her birthday is coming up and I'd like to get a subscription as part of her gift. I'm also getting that ***** a pressure washer.

* Bonzo, got a link to proposed changes on retirement accounts, etc? I'm hoping they up the income limit to contribute to a Roth. Of course the market has to go up for it to matter. Go Brandon and whatnot.

* Not gonna post the video but if you search youtube for "Gilbert Gottfried Hilter's *******", you are in for a treat. RIP sweet prince.

Don't Kristallnacht it until you've tried it!

It’s really like a Mumbai rush hour commuter train.

The first one through the wall always gets bloody. A few of us took shot after shot for a few years before the rest of the world caught on to how pathetic our basketball program had become.

We were mocked, tossed aside, told we weren't fans, branded as traitors. The whole time we were simply pointing out the obvious. This was long before the worst season in the history of UK basketball. Long before getting waxed by a white Doug. The evidence was there all along. But most just refused to believe something this bad could ever happen.

-16 Passenger Pink Hummer ***** limo + Sam and Nick's reservations are full. That's where this **** all started. In Dallas.

-This weather is stupid and I really blame the fat ankles. All that cheering to 35-40 degrees and rain/sleet/snow, so you can "enjoy" all 4 seasons. What a bunch of looking for an excuse to be lazy losers.

-Little man struck out to end the game last night, even though it was his best game in the field by far, he busted out into tears and was crushed. Good life lesson but had me rolling around in bed all night. Dad lesson in there as well.

-Thinking of switching from a clinch knot to a double davey. Any advice is appreciated.

-BBdk is right. Best case scenario is Cal get's Oscar back and stabilizes the ship next season. Right now would be a crushing time to try and replace him. I'm not scared to replace, just realistic about what we're facing, and none of the candidates I've heard are righting that ship quickly.

-WCC needs to become a more engaged IG meme pal. He could learn something from a few others around here.

- If I'm Jai Lucas, I absolutely take that job if offered. Scheyer's already got it rolling in recruiting, he's gonna be there a while, and while we all hate him, he doesn't seem like a raving lunatic who's gonna turn around and snap at his assistants during the heat of battle. I still think Scheyer will go with a former HC in that seat (like Martelli at Michigan, Lebo at UNC, etc.), but still....I wouldn't blame Lucas for doing it.

- I had forgotten all about Jarrod Vanderbilt until that MIN/LAC game last night.

- Dontaie will do great at WKU. Good for that kid.

- John Ramsey looks like the kind of guy who still watches those old "Hardbodies" movies that aired on HBO back in the 80's.

- We've already discussed it ad nauseum, but there are guys out there who could match/exceed Cal's on-court results from the past three seasons. Whether they could handle the rest of the job is another question. And that's just on paper. There's something to be said for the intangibles, too...the whole vibe of the guy, his trajectory, etc.

- A local (Louisville) comedian, who does mainly just open mics and small opening gigs, tweeted as a joke that he would be asked to open for Chappelle's show last night in Louisville. Some friends took it seriously and the tweet blew up to the point where he sort of ran with the scam. WDRB brought him for a live in-studio appearance yesterday to promote his "big break". He decided to just roll with it and made it all the way backstage at the Palace Theatre before he was found out (after WDRB had realized the scam and pulled the story off its site), and sprinted to his car and got out of there. Don't know whether that says more about him, his friends, or local media, but either way, I'll be opening for Chris Rock at the Palace Theatre in Louisville on June 15th.

-fvckin A, Clark. Like the catholic church and Copernicus...we are not martyrs, but people just need to remember that we were correct all along, while they were practicing a raftardian level of faith that "the sun revolved around the earth" metaphorically speaking...and recognize/defer to their betters moving forward when such a situation arises.

I'd be shocked if Scheyer hired anyone outside of "The Brotherhood." He already hired 28 year old Amile Jefferson with zero coaching experience to replace Nolan Smith.

* Bonzo, got a link to proposed changes on retirement accounts, etc? I'm hoping they up the income limit to contribute to a Roth.
This provides a decent summary. WSJ has a more in-depth look at the fine print, but it's a pay article ( 🙄 ) . A lot of the language is around phasing out traditional IRA's/401(k)'s and making them all Roths. They up the contribution limits though only for older folks playing catchup. Some stuff around those with student loan debt and employers doing more, but that seems like a long shot.

One thing that's going to piss a ton of folks off is the proposed requirement on companies of 10 or more employees (pretty wide net) to forcefully contribute, with defined percentages, regardless of time served. While a novel concept, those businesses struggling to make ends meet and have to now forcefully implement this savings plan will pass that cost on to the end consumer or layoff employees. Yin & Yang of potential mandates.

Also, slowly phasing out traditional and going to Roth is great. But many think this is a precursors to Uncle Sam going after unrealized gains and that idea has been floated by several high ranking bureaucrats, including the current speaker of the house . Scoff at the idea but you know they will always look for more revenue sources and while Roth's give them taxes immediately, they will have less and less from folks taking tax-free income down the road. So their next greedy step is to start going after what's on paper.

/TLDR - some fiscal winners & losers of legislation.

I distinctly remember enjoying a cold domesto with SAE at the Shems tailgate err, 4 years ago and being genuinely puzzled at his disdain for Cal. Now I'm like the Paul Rudd Meme "look at us".

Even with Oscar back, how the heck does he have any room to operate? Fredrick spaces and (?) who else is a reliable shooter or even proven scorer? Don't tell me the freshman, I've seen enough to take a wait and see approach with those guys. So, yeah, we looking to mid-major transfers again?

Really enjoy getting to live vicariously through Anth these days. Get some of the ups and downs without all the responsibility.

If he has it he will want to hit some balls this afternoon. If he doesn’t you will see him praying in the on deck circle next time opportunity is knocking. Either way being a dad is a kick *** job.

Got me some Wagyu Beef tallow and will be attempting an AustinTX inspired Lowry’s & Kosher salt/pepper, foil-boat #15 Pat LaFrieda brisket smoke on the egg for my youngest son’s First Communion bonanza. 3 weeks away. Preparation is key. Pieces in place.

Anyone use this ^?

Rispoli cannoli cake.

Bourbon Rec: NULU cask strength experimental Honey Barrel finished…. I am digging the hell out of it.

Surreal core memory when we recently requested ‘Haggin Hall’ for eldest’s dorm choice. I was a Kirwan Tower dude (19 th floor) and always envied the Haggin kids. Those February pulled fire alarms in the Tower at 3:30am were a hoot. Only reason why I pledged a fraternity… so I didn’t freeze to death as LFD cleared the alarm.

Haggin…So close to KLair and those magical 1000° pizzas. **sigh**

NYC was on lockdown yesterday. First time in the Adams/DiBlasio era you saw more than 10 cops assembled together (outside of the numerous cop funerals). Get your **** together NY. Place is currently a failure of epic proportions.

If you want your brisket to be as buttery as Franklin, you are using the right stuff. That's the secret.

Kirwin 20th Floor one year, then Greg Page apts thereafter.

- I know nobody cares about SEC baseballsucka, but I have heard/read some say that this Tennessee team might be one of the best in conference history. Their coach arrived around the same time as Mingione, inherited less talent, and has taken off like a rocket. Meanwhile, yeah...
Hours after this they lost to Tennessee Tech. Midweek college baseball is weird.
