I have no idea who Mr. Beast is HOWEVER I can tell you the youths are all about it and my own youths convinced us to order burgers from his weird *** pop up restaraunt or whatever last weekend.

After an hour of switching delivery drivers, food not being made, etc. we canceled the order and ate some tuna.

Ventured over to Henry County last night to see the 8th Region finals. I had never been to Henry County and if you had took my phone away I am not sure I would have gotten home.

It was Woodford and its 2 Woodford County kids and 7 transfers from Lexington/Frankfort verses North Oldham coached by David Levitch and David Padgett (imagine the former UL coach being an assistant for a high school now). North went 9 for their first 10 from 3 and had a 45-19 lead at half and it was pretty much done. No shot clock just really messes you up after watching so much college basketball. If you have good ballhandlers you can really limit possessions with that big of a lead.

But I told my kids that you don't get the opportunity to go to a Sweet 16 so any chance you get you have to go and experience it.

Shout out to my man Mark Bugg, the voice of Bellarmine Basketball and a Beechmont legend, as well as former Desales standout Beau Braden working the bench with Davenport. Bellarmine being pulled up by the South End was always a lock.

I personally pulled the party scene up there in the early aughts and they're still reaping the benefits.

Who’s the oldest “Kevin” out there? Are there any old Kevins meeting up for early morning McDonald’s breakfast?

Kyle Kinane (underrated comedian, by the way) has an entire bit about how you don't see any 40 year old Kyles. Like you've never heard anyone say, "let's go see Grandpa Kyle." Makes sense to me, but I bet there will be a bunch of them here in about 5 years.

This is so good:

Kinda crazy the play wasn't even drawn up for the best player in program history, but it sure as hell worked like a charm, *exactly* as coach called it.

Great stuff.

Cal over there panicking… lol. He wasn’t made for that.

Also, Dawn Staley can’t be happy with #4. She was in no man’s land on that play. No need to go with the ball handler as her teammate easily got around the screen.

- Sounds like it was *kinda* drawn up for Howard based on what Elzy said first, but you could tell that she expected Howard to be doubled or cut-off from turning the corner, and knew the Edwards option would be there. Great play call.

- I assume that if Pastner is gone, they'll announce it today. Might as well get out in front of the in-state rival when their coaching search presumably starts tonight around 10:02 p.m.

- Surprised at Enfield staying at USC. Obviously the quality of life is higher there, but I thought he'd want to return "home" and coach at a school where hoops isn't overshadowed. Maryland fans are bound to be disappointed unless they pull a rabbit out of their hat. They're not exactly a reasonable bunch.

- So how many SEC jobs open up? My guess: five.

- Fauci really did just flat-out disappear, huh? Just like Joe Lunardi will after the selection show, and like Dan Bonner and Jim Spanarkel will after the regional finals.

Yeah, ok loser.

Val & Stacy couldn't hold Howard's tit.

I'll just chalk up this one to your usual ignorance.

Still/Dunlap/Nichols, hell, I might even give you Howard over Nichols, but to dismiss Still is like saying Biden is doing a great job.

Do better.

Really enjoyed that Bellarmine game last night. CJ Fleming has a lot of Patrick Sparks in him.

I'll take Adia Mathies. UK went 111-30 while she was there. She led them to 3 Elite 8s and another Sweet 16. She was SEC POY as a junior and co-POY as a senior. She's a 2,000 pt scorer as well as top 10 in numerous other categories. She also led Iroquois to a state title while in high school.

In one of the strangest developments of my life, my Dad, UK grad and diehard, has befriended Jeff Walz. Well, they've kind of become good drinking buddies, I guess. It's bizarre. Dad now likes to bring up the UofL women's team with my brothers and me when discussing sports like we give a flying monkey **** about the sport at all, let alone UofL's team. He even offered us weekday tickets for a game that Walz had given him. I hit him with the "Yea it's a no from me dawg" American Idol meme.

It's kind of a strange deal to clown your Dad about something like this, but you just have to. He used to just laugh to himself over it, but I could tell the last time we all dunked on him it started to piss him off a little. Well, good. FOH, Dad.
