My dad just bitches constantly about David Bell and college basketball officiating.
As a refugee from the Nutmeg State, I swear half the obituaries of 80 year old men in the CT newspapers include, "and was a great supporter of the UCONN Women's Basketball team". Probably explains a lot about the state. A lot has changed in the 30 years since I've been gone.
Not exactly the same thing because it's not like a lifetime friendship was formed but my aunt and uncle swear by what a great guy Isiah Thomas is because he took time to interact with my disabled cousin. They've gotten really upset a couple of times when it has come up and I tell them it's not just a Hoosier thing but no one really likes Thomas. I also have an uncle who bragged 25 years ago that he hung out with Sam Peckinpah's nephew at a party. That's a pretty random 3rd hand unproveable brush with celebrity.

So Indianapolis is a Thursday/Sat site and Chicago and Philly are both Thursday/sat regionals. Love playing those days, especially first 2 rounds.
That Ohio State Friday night sweet 16 game took forever to get there. Waiting that long to play #1 was brutal.

I’m embarrassed to say I can’t recall the last time I haven’t been blacked out drunk for an NCAA tournament night game outside of the 1st round due to anxiety. I had no recollection who won the 2014 UL sweet sixteen game until I woke up and checked the score and watched the recording. I was watching and cheering just dont recall. It’s pretty ridiculous how nervous I get for NCAA games, especially when we’re good. I’ll be a mess this year.
I blacked out during the 2017 UNC game. Glad I did, tbh.
I remember most of em but man, that Iowa st game in 2015 is a little blurry from shamrocks on patchen.

NCAA final in 2014 is at best a bit in and out. I remember waking up the next morning glad the neighbors didn't call 911 to report a home invasion/confrontation.

The worst for me was the 1996 Final 4 game against Umass. I was wreck because they had beat us in the regular season. Got blackout drunk upstairs at The Family Dog and apparently according to my girlfriend(now wife) charged at the TV at every basket and foul call. Pretty much was alone at the end because I was so obnoxious. Passed out in the bathtub when I got home. Not my finest but was sober during the championship game because of that performance.
I was irrationally angry after that 2017 game. Like, really wanted to go out and street fight someone. If I had walked out my front door and saw someone with a UNC hat, a high misdemeanor assault charge would have been worth it.
I have never turned off the television faster than I did after that ******* shot in 2017. F UNC forever for many reasons, but especially that day.

Locked and loaded, telly booked, to spend my $$$ gambling in Indiana next Friday afternoon and evening.
The 1998 final four game against Stanford I played in a rugby tournament and had two (three? more?) concussions over the course of the day and apparently watched the game that night with friends but don’t remember a bit of it. It’s fine.
No clue what the draft order will be, but I hope Jordan drafts him and ruins his career out of spite.
