Got together fattening themselves up with pasta and Sunday sauce, drunked up on wine, bouncing Sopranos quotes off each other and decided, “let’s make up a bunch of **** and try to tear down wcc.”

Yeah, well, I don’t play that ****. Pick a fight with someone else.
You're on your own.

-I got three days of Team Development incoming. Staying at the Hilton, cheesy *** “teamwork” games and fancy *** dinners on the corporate card. Ain’t that bad really.

-I may be an ******* for saying this but I want to demoralize Ole Miss tomorrow night. I want those guys leaving Rupp questioning their careers as basketball players. I want Kermit Davis breaking out in a flop sweat at hearing any word that starts with a K. I want all the floppy banged ******** to shave their heads in shame. I just want to destroy somebody heading into March.

-My entire philosophy in life when it boils down to it is “Don’t be an *******. Don’t actively work to **** anyone over.” But my dad always said something that is ringing true to me these days. “You either get revenge or give forgiveness.” The world’s gone batshit crazy and we’re all here just trying to live our lives, raise our kids and hopefully find a small piece of something that makes us happy.

-Baseball Cats going to be decent this year or are do we have a dead man walking as coach?

Nicknames the guy who does Big Blue History has given to Doug Shows:

Marquis Teague for arguing non-call (called by Doug "Rabbit Ears" Shows); Anthony Davis for hanging on the rim (called by Doug "Look at Me" Shows)

UK Assistant Coach John Robic (ejected) for pointing out Doug "The Peacock" Shows' blown possession call.

Another good one: Jerry Smith and John Wall for thinking bad thoughts (double-technical) [mindreading courtesy of Doug Shows]

- I have some opinions on the Russia/Ukraine situation, but I'd like to get a recap of Wayne's stance first.

- Local school board meeting tonight re: masking. I don't think I'll be able to make it, but I trust Geese and Booker to fight the good fight. Can't see any way the board doesn't go mask-optional sooner rather than later. More and more counties are doing it, and that dam seems close to breaking overall.

- There are few coach/fanbase fits more perfect than Dan Hurley and UConn.

- Quit paying attention to the UL coaching scuttlebutt a few weeks back when it seemed that KP was assumed to be the frontrunner. But now some are preferring making a run at Muss or Scott Drew? Can't see it with those two.

- Illinois scares me. The team, not the state. Well, part of the state does, too. The Chicago part.

- Zach Johnson as Ryder Cup captain...I'm not a golfball like some of you, but can't see a downside to that pick?

- Not many feelings worse than missing your kid's first _______ (steps, basket, goal, etc.). I missed my kid's first lacrosse goal this weekend and I'll never get that moment back.

- If the baseball Cats can win their series with TCU this weekend, then I'll be impressed. Until then...#FoolsGold.

-F’n Monday, I’d pay the price to go to London right now and leave all this BS behind, cell phone off too.

- Hit the book for a few thousand this weekend. Felt great.

- Governor’s office apparently reached out to planning and zoning due to complaints of my project. Please Andy, please go against me trying to produce Kentucky Bourbon.

- Anyone thinking Ukraine is going to win, even with help, is stupid. Either this is a power thing and Putin wants to pay less to use pipelines, or he really wants war. It’s that simple. Chill.

- UK does not win this SEC tourney. I like our chances to get #9, but Cal doesn’t care enough about Sunday for the SEC and our players could use a rest instead of playing 3 days in a row.

Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love to beat the brakes off theses ******** for some revenge!

-New Order "Blue Monday" on repeat.

-Glad the Palumbos get to take our basketball program along with them to London. That'll be a blast!

-Fried Chicken night yesterday. I absolutely punished 4 pieces, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Good on that meal for a while.

-Lolz at Bozich dedicating an article to his ranking Duke #1 this Coach K's final regular season week. Outrageous.

-Also outrageous? You guessed it, Gonzaga. That's the weakest "high level" basketball I've seen in a long time. Good grief.

-Will a basketball please explain to me why Oscar is so easily abused on the high pick and roll? Was there nothing that could have been done about it Saturday? Really?

-Arkansas is fine, but not in love with them at all this March. I'd love to smack them down in SEC Basketball country, Tampa, Florida.

-Staying up until midnight tonight to welcome March.

-Got out in the yard with the little dude yesterday afternoon. Dribbled soccer for a bit, then said he wanted to run. So, we took off running to the end of the street and back. He was downright giddy after this miserable winter. Good for the soul.

-Working out all winter feels good when the weather starts warming. For many years I didn't do anything, and the sense of dread once March hit was just miserable. Golf shirt *test* coming up soon.

-I love Mintz. Dude plays his *** off. All I ask for, really. Unless you're Devin Askew, of course.

The Robert Earl Keen/Tyler Childers Hill Country Youth Orchestra Benefit streamed show Saturday night was really cool. Childers played with REK's band, but hit the classics. That dude singing Creeker is pretty damn powerful, same for Universal Sound, which REK gushed over. He's *right* on the line with screaming and singing during the chorus, but man it's something, especially in light of his announced 2 years of sobriety.

I think he's the best out there IMO, and I absolutely worship Isbell. Childers is something else. Gummie and two-tree Old Fos made it a pretty nice little Saturday night tbh.

I’d think Cal would want our real lineup to have as much game time together as possible between now and the NCAA tournament. Assuming all can go, I don’t see that he really has the luxury of resting them.

-Rookie League draft, little man taken in the First Rd. Proud of him, he worked his butt off the last 4-5 weeks in the cold, and apparently had a nice try out. We worked on stuff for another 2-3 hours last night out back. Kid loves to play baseball and basketball.

-Got picked by the f*cking Cardinals, 🤮. So next two years we get to sport that ******** gear. Bleh. I'm sticking with the Redbird Navy ****. I did order some of the striped socks though, love those suckers. **** who am I kidding STL gear is way better than Reds knock off bs. Whatever. F-Off.

-I just don't get being all negative about this team. Sure we have a few holes. Especially if we're injured or Oscar has foul trouble. However, we haven't been beaten at full strength since first week of December and the metrics love us. My eyes love us.
*Give Tyty a chance to get his feet back under him, like he was doing before that goon from Florida bulldozed him.
*I don't know what more you want from our 6th man than what Mintz has provided. I have complete confidence he'll be there when we need it.
*The one legit gripe is getting Grady to pull the ******* trigger when he has any opening.

-Weekend at Blackberry. That place is dope. Rolled in with a stomach bug, courtesy of our 1 year old. Basically the worst place on earth for that because it's just endless heavy, creamy, buttery, food with tons of wine. Powered through, slept a ton, felt much better the last day and enjoyed a couple entrees that night. Washed them down with some Buffalo Trace Experimental bottles 😍 I'm probably the only person to leave that place lighter than I arrived. Anyway, it's ridiculously expensive but the food, wine, and service are top notch. Not a blade of grass out of place.

-Hit the sporting clays course, because fishing was rained out, and that **** is just so much fun. Wish we had a place near in or near Lex for that.

-75 is a son a ***** to drive. It's either 65 or 95 or standstill. There's no flow, barely any straight road, Ohio drivers. F*ck that road.

-Knoxville is a terrible looking **** hole. That can't be overstated. They some how turned an really promising setting(the mountains/water) into an upper midwest industrial looking mini-city.

-London 👀 also the Atlantis year. The usual suspects should be ULTRA salty about this.

-Our masks are coming off March 7th. Well, if we're not a "red" (RTFOOMELE) county or whatever stupid *** metric our Bobby Newport Governor has established. I can't imagine they back track after putting out the release but we'll see.

I really wish I still had the quiet confidence some of you have. I envy that. I remember having it in 2012, 2015. I remember my first taste of it in 96.

But everything since that ******** ending of the Final Four in 2015 has left me with battered wife syndrome. I’m going to be a ******** nervous wreck starting next week.

Just got back from the cruise. Best part was no internet or phone. TRULY unplugging for 3 days was severely needed and incredible tbh. Couldn’t even get the score of the game. From what I can gather Washington and Wheeler were rusty and Grady was gassed and we still only lost by 2. Glad we have the full squad back so we can work the rust off and get rolling headed to the tournament. LFG

PS Disney Cruise is legit holy cow that company is something else

It's the NCAA Tournament Committee that doesn't give a damn about winning on Sunday in the SECT.

Hope the women's team can make the tournament. It'd be a damn shame if Rhyne Howard has to play in an NIT to finish out her career at UK. I know nobody gives a damn about the women's team on here, but she's either #1 or #1A on the GOAT list for the program.

Was jamming to House Fire this morning on the way to work. Great foot stomping song to get the blood flowing.
The weather this week is on point.

Gonzaga-St. Mary's looked more like St. X vs Scott County than #1 vs #23 in CBB.

Lass is getting a new ride this/next week. Been 13 years since she got something new. If anyone deserves to be treated to something like that, it's her. Between caring for her dying, dementia-ridden mother for 6 years, dealing with me and my work hours, and being a a good UK fan's spouse while not understanding a scintilla of football, she's worth every damn penny that will be spent on this purchase.

Remember when Clay Travis tried to gaslight an airline because they wouldn't allow him and his lice-infested family fly back home to Nashville?

Zach Johnson is Mitch Barnhardts type of guy, may even go to the same church. At least he's won some majors. The list is getting small if that's the criteria.

As discussed, Fried Chicken Sundays are the best. Season coming to an end tho.

Fish Fry's are great. In NKY, St Paul for specialty meals they make each week. MQH for best cod.

March.
