-More better than the weather is the sun still being up past 6p. Just a complete change in attitude.

-That Brown kid, the same kid that came up missing last summer(but was seen all over town), is heavily tied to every leader in Louisville, the news stations, etc. Thank God he missed. That circus is going to be a **** show.

-Speaking of which, Josh Dubin, of the Innocence Project, on Rogan this week. He's always a good listen on there. If you're in to far right conspiracy misinformation like the Innocence Project.

-@UT, Bama, LSU, @Ark, @UF to end the season.

Meanwhile, Auburn has this gauntlet: A&M, Vandy, @UF, Ole Miss, @UT, MSU, USC.

Lol. F*ck off SEC.

-Let's get this HB51 passed and back on with life.

-Man, I really want to hold on to Coen. I know he's a rising star but next year will be special now that he's had so much time with Levis.

-Not to pour salt on the wound but, geez.

Talking to NBA teams, they are all preparing for Sharpe ultimately being in the draft, and say they'll be surprised if he isn't. Historically speaking, 99.9% of players in his situation (projected lottery picks, likely top-10 picks) end up declaring, because there's simply too much risk in going back to school, risking poor play or injury, and seeing their stock fall.

-Someone I've never heard of almost killed a candidate I don't even like. That's on me, I guess. Was almost a huge day for rob, though. Sorry, bud. Next time.

-Charleston this weekend for winter break. 60's. Sun. That's fine.

-A true seasons ball, I am now ready for the next one.

This winter was a success: ample snow, great firewood, entertaining Kentucky basketball. Just time for spring is all.

-Real excited about getting Upshaw back tbh.

-This Forde story is just sad. The fact that they thought the words of someone about to face prison are somehow more credible and interesting just baffles me. This, aside from the fact that this was 10 years ago, NIL has changed the entire world of collegiate athletics, and frankly nobody gives a flying F. Cool story though, bro.

-If I had to poke holes in it, some jackoff t shirt company handing over $10K in cash out of the goodwill of their hearts to someone months away from millions cracked me up. K.

-Burnt out on bourbon. Tito's martini at tip sounds good.

-bought the Mrs a bottle of botanical gin, she approved. Also found her a bottle of penfolds bin 389 cab/shiraz...the wine I served with my proposal dinner on vday 1998(I'm old).

^she likes to entertain/make cocktails for friends...and it makes for simple gift giving, also allows me to nerd out on the minutiae of booze, I like the nerdy stuff.

-made filet and lobster for my girls last night. Brussels and baked potatoes. Simple and solid.

that loon state senator who is running against McGarvey all let him tag along while promoting him.
"Say her name - ATTICA SCOTT", same loon who once accused a bunch of white people of firing shots into the Breonna Taylor protest/memorial when in fact it was someone from the memorial firing shots at the truck that was driving by.

This of course the same memorial where Joe Gerths nephew was shot and killed, that didn't shut him up so I cant imagine this will either.

Had some Monkey 47 gin and tonics followed by the botanist. Both were delicious. I’ve developed a great understanding of tequila, bourbon, scotch and getting there with gin. Next up I want to try and figure out rum as my only experience is capt morgan in college. Wife got me a cocktail of the month subscription for valentines where you tell them what liquor you have/want and they send you all the ingredients to make 3 cocktails with it. Im not even a big drinker just like having a couple cocktails on the weekend but I’m excited to try. Amazing the difference between **** and premium liquor (save vodka - the alcoholics drink).

All that ***-kissing, and Taylor’s mother hating her and endorsing McGarevy is kind of hilarious to me, but I’m just a dumb shitlib

Listen- there are two camps here:

Camp 1, which I am a member of, realizes Sharpe isn’t going to play here. He has to say there’s a chance so as not to incense the locals, make everyone ask “wait wtf is going on here?” and generally piss everyone off. We here in Camp 1 obviously hope we are wrong, but pretty sure we are right.

Camp 2 consists of the sweet innocents who still believe what they’re told when it comes to high level basketball recruits. I wish I had that level of hope and optimism but I also worry about the damage to their collective psyche when the realization hits

I mean now that I actually think about it, what is our guard situation looking like next year (obviously subject to change with people leaving and us getting a grad transfer):

Wheeler
Wallace
Sharpe

? would it be that much worse as:

Wheeler
Wallace
Frederick?

That way we have two upperclassmen and a proven sniper - is that even worse? I’ve loved having Grady on the team, even with him not shooting just his presence completely opens up the floor. Maybe I’m an idiot or missing something I just don’t see that big a drop off.

The issue isn’t the issues in today’s world.

The issue is that it seems more and more people are going “I’m angry at the world and feel helpless. Nothing changes. I’m going to pick up a gun now and show the world how angry I am”.

That goes for everyone. No matter what your politics are.

And that’s all I’m gonna say about that.

* A campari, soda, and lime cures what ails you this time of year.

* Wheeler / Clark / Wallace / Frederick is a sweet nucleus to work from. If by some miracle Vern is right (and he never, ever is), then great --> play Sharpe at the 3 and ride or die. Livingston and Toppin can handle the 4.

* I believe we are more likely to have Oscar here next year than Sharpe and if given the choice, I'll take Oscar every time.

Next years guard situation looks great to me. Even without Sharpe.

Unless Wheeler wants to play in Latvia I don’t see where the hell he’s going. Fredrick comes back strong and healthy, Wallace and Clark come in as good as advertised…boom we’re in business again.

Played paddle tennis with some work friends last week and realized that I was embarrassingly out of shape. Everyone here knows that I’m hyper competitive. So I joined the gym at work. 3 days a week I will wake up at 5am and drive to the gym at work in SF. Pretty good gig. Overlooks the GG Bridge and the Presidio. One of the best views in the world.

Just finished my first workout. Dripping in sweat. Feel like a million bucks. And I’m super excited about my new life.

- For those of you who were hyping Theo Von in GYERO a few weeks ago, Comedy Off Broadway just announced that he's coming to town next Wednesday for one show only, so have at it.

- I realize that the portal is impossible to predict because it's the Wild West, but should Sharpe not play and Cal need to add a veteran wing, Aminu Mohammed of Georgetown might be a good fit. The kid has tried carrying a terrible Hoya team on his back all season. Averaging 14/7, and would flourish as a small-ball four (or big 3) surrounded by better talent (and competent coaching). Watched him go for 27 last night, and I'm intrigued.

- Feel bad for this generation of MS/HS kids whose grades can be checked by parents virtually in real time. My parents were completely in the dark until that report card came home, which meant that I had weeks/months to get ish right. Kids these days have nowhere to hide when it comes to bombed quizzes and incomplete assignments. Obviously helps with accountability, but I'm glad that's a newish development.

- Providence/Nova a nice little appetizer before the late game tonight. That arena should be rocking. Still think Cooley would do well at Louisville if their top candidate tier doesn't work out.

Cooley would be too good of a hire for Louisville.

Louisville fan would hate it cause OMG IT’S NOT BRADE STEVENS WE DESERVE!!! but he’d do well there.

Lol, the rush to get home and get the mail on report card day when you had a bad grade(s). I typically had great grades but there were a few instances where I either straight up jacked that sucker or destroyed it. Once I "mistakenly" threw it out and covered it with all kinds of **** until it wasn't legible. Weird that time raised some pretty big issues but probably not as big as they should've been. With experience being a parent, looking back, they obviously knew. Knowing how hard my parents worked, I must have gotten lucky, and they were too tired to really take me to task.

Fairly certain that was the semester I got the "talk." Grades up or you can get a job and go to JCC.

The talk worked, btw.

I never looked at my kids grades before a grading period. Could have. Never did. My rule was let me know early if there is a problem. If you don’t say anything, I assume everything is okay. Because they are smarter than I, it generally worked well.

I stopped drinking Miller when my kids got older. I workout now so that I can enjoy the HopSlams of the world without tubbing out. Those things ain’t light beer. An occasional Guinness or session is the closest thing to light beer, or low ABV beer. The high gravity stuff is much better.

lol, of course Rob Eggert is representing him.

I'm no Freudball but a 21-year-old male with increasingly volatile and oddball behavior screams schizophrenia/psychotic break. Awful story all the way around, and thank God it wasn't deadly.

For all you lawyerballs this is one of my biggest bones to pick with the legal system.

We just got done with the Waffle House Shooter trial here. Everyone pretty much agreed he was an un medicated schizophrenic experiencing a psychotic episode. He shows up naked, with a gun and kills four people and just walks away.

Now he’s arraigned originally. Judge says he’s not competent to stand trial. So the state ships him off, gets him treated and medicated. So now he’s competent.

I guess my problem is the State medicating people and saying “well he’s fine now. Let’s try him and convict him.” when he obviously wasn’t fine when he committed the act. This happened recently in Texas with the former Ags receiver who was a schizophrenic who machete’d that jogger.

I just think that these people deserve a lifetime of medical treatment and medical care; not sitting in a cell to rot. And it seems the legal system doesn’t actually care about the mental state of people who commit these crimes. They just want to dope em up, say they’re sane now and toss ‘em in prison.
