* Tough beat for the Bengals. That one had the hallmarks of UK football with a surge ahead but unable to capitalize when you have a chance to distance, questionable calls against you down the stretch, and an opposing player going all-universe on you. Did I miss something on Mixon? Was he dinged up? Why the hell was Perine out there on that last series?

* Probably had my hopes up a little too high for Dre and company. Still solid to most previous shows and way overdue but wasted too much time on 50 and MJB

* First UK game since about January 2020. Took both kiddos and the wife, which went terribly. I think I was able to successfully watch about 2 total minutes of the first half and most of that I was trying to keep my kids from bothering the folks around us. Tried to regroup at half time and let them walk around for a bit but that didn't go so well either. 2 year old laid in the middle of the concourse by one of the ice cream stands basically convulsing because I wouldn't buy him one and the 3 year old was trying to climb into a garbage can. Probably best I wait a few more years before trying that again. No clue how some of you goons with 3+ kiddos pull it off.

* Movement away from the ball, knowing roles and understanding how to switch when screened are things we haven't had since about 2015. Would be really nice if Allen or Hopkins could be serviceable (or Sharpe...) for a stretch. Way less concerned about the post provided Toppin is back in short order. Road loss at Arky should get us refocused for the SECT and NCAAT

* The Ruskies out here doping up 15 year old girls while the U.S. suspends track and field athletes who smoke a little weed out of competition.

* In similar news, supply chain **** and inflation is about to get a lot worse. Three separate suppliers in the past week basically throwing up the white flag on receiving anything as scheduled this year or getting anywhere near quantities from 2021. Raw materials like refrigerant are just doubling in cost or just not even going to be available this year.

Yeah... I wasn't a fan of the messenger either, but it also kinda took me back to going to the varsity games when I was in middle school.

Those damn nachos with the squirt cheese still hold up. Bonus points for the pickled jalapenos.

Fun fact: That guy recording the video was also the triple rainbow guy

Another successful valentines in the books. Me and my wife’s tradition of cooking a nice meal together is a pretty easy one to follow

After drinking wine and an agreeable meal I want to murder my children during bedtime routine. I mean Jesus Christ why TF do I have 3 toddlers serenity now

Everyone should make Tuesday their day off. Would make society and the world a better place

TyTy out tomorrow blows

The next day, Kentucky was playing at Indiana in a big showdown game. Code says he drove from Chicago to Bloomington, met the assistant athletic director, received an envelope of cash and then delivered it to Davis’s mom before the game.

Cool story...

While I can’t speak for your kids in their seats, they were perfectly well behaved when we saw them at halftime. Meanwhile, G ran into a school/sports buddy and they proceeded to run around the side concourse of Rupp like wild banshees not paying attention at all to the numerous people they almost ran into that were carrying food/drinks.

It is hard to watch a game with kids in attendance (especially a big game), but if you keep exposing them to the environment, I think it helps get them used to it. Granted toddlers are hard, so I hear ya.

Which reminds me, we used to take G out to dinner once a week from birth. He got used to it and was pretty well behaved. Then covid hit and we had another kid and have been out once in 2 years with them. And G complained the whole time wondering why we didn’t get take out instead. So we need to get back to that routine. Easier said than done though.

They announced the theme for the Pegasus parade and it’s “Love Louisville.” They have asked for the floats to show what you love about Louisville. Sooooo, is Gyero sponsoring a float with hookers, cash and cheating or going with the SAE topography one?

A bit of an overreaction

I think that anytime you make someone’s job harder for fun you’re kinda a dick. Hey who cares about it let’s throw trash out there knowingly someone has to pick it up! 98% of those people would lose their mind if someone walked into their business and started throwing trash around.

I’ve known Craig since we were 13 years old. I’m so happy he is ok. What a messed up story.
When I first read about it there werent a ton of details. I assumed Craig was not in that much danger; somebody shot acrosss the room or something.

But holy crap… this dude came in with a 9mm and put a hole through Craig’s sports coat that he was wearing.

Courier Journal employee, BLM leader and activist and paid to run a program that focuses on ending youth violence in Louisville.
Just another one of SAE's boys having a bad day.

Dude's CJ columns are still up if you want to read such bangers as "The huge police budget is the real boogeyman traumatizing Black people", "Opinion: JCPS is right to remove police from schools", or "Dear God, do I deserve to die for being born black?"

Louisville is a preposterous city. Also preposterous -- the CJ's policies on capitalization in editorial headlines.

* My wife and I caught an uber yesterday in a Chrysler Pacifica that had a SUPER MOM bumper sticker. The driver and my wife (both middle aged yuppie white women) were giddy to discuss the halftime show in excruciating detail the entire drive. They both happily concluded that Mary J. Blige's weave was itching during the show and that's why she kept patting her head (or something -- I was trying to decide if a ridge wallet is sharp enough to slit my wrists so the details are murky.)

Thank God I also got seafood risotto, tiramisu, and some romance last night. I came close to opening the minivan door, stepping out at a stoplight, and hoofing it back to the airbnb in blissful silence without explanation.

* Sahvir had 21 points and 8 assists the last time we played UT. Mintz had 10 points in 21 minutes. If we get a similar collective effort from those two tonight, I like our chances. This team has turned into road warriors.

How I hope we roll into Thompson-Boling tonight:

Thankfully for Greenberg ol' Quintez is a terrible shot.
Dude, when the bullet grazed your clothes, you know you literally dodged the bullet. That’ll shake you, I suspect. Someone wanted you dead. Inches and you are dead. I would imagine some here have come equally close to some “bullet” in their lives. Processing that could lead to a profound moment.

9 pm tipoffs are garbage

Helped the boy assemble a Lego set last night that he got for his birthday. I love some Legos. Thumb is sore this morning from clicking them together.

Listed a multi-family property the other day at a rather high price just to see what would happen. Got multiple offers within 24 hours and accepted one for well over list price. This market is plain stupid.

Covered up with work right now. Gotta get it in before the correction that is coming. Once this burst of work runs out I'm going to build myself a garage, then go fishing.

What an incredible season for the Bengals. Finished in predictable heartbreaking fashion, but we weren't supposed to be there to begin with. Get Joey Burr some protection and let's run it back.

This story in Louisville has gotten more crazy by the minute. The investigation is going to be very interesting.

Russia is apparently pulling troops back from the Ukraine border. Putin is just toying with Biden.

The Canadian **** is equally wild. Trudeau has essentially declared himself a dictator. Things will either go down hill fast for him, or the population from here.

It feels like we've turned the corner on winter. No doubt there will be more winter weather, but the days are rapidly getting longer and warmer. I'm good with that.

Gonna be a lot of new bengals fans in west Africa though
Funny story related to that thought. Worked for a tire store in Lexington while at UK, that used to do give promo's with t-shirts. Buy a set of four and get a t-shirt with the store name and the brand of tire you bought. Every year when the promo was over, the owner donated the remaining shirts to a shelter or something in Lexington. Until.... local news story breaks with perp in one of the t-shirts. He was absolutely convinced that it was one of the "felons" that got the free shirt and committed a crime in it soiling the stores good name. Cancelled all promos that had the store name on it after that. Thought it was an over reaction, but funny non-the-less listening to him harp about no good deed goes unpunished for the better part of a week.

I think what Hank means is it would be pretty nice if They Kolb was somehow a conspirator and was jailed accordingly. And if not potentially frame him.

Close?
I just hate that guy and think he's a ****. To be clear, I have absolutely no reason to suspect he is involved in an attempted murder conspiracy. I do have ample reason to suspect that he's an authoritarian prick who should not be in charge of a lemonade stand and looks like a glow worm toy with glasses.

The kid in Louisville was batshit crazy and had been encouraged by that lunatic fringe running the protests since day 1. Booker, several council members and I believe that loon state senator who is running against McGarvey all let him tag along while promoting him. He had been pretty hot on social media the last few days over the core city council members lining up behind Greenberg.

Speaking of little bitches, it'd be nice if western Europe could actually grow a set of balls for a change.

All I know is that in todays world more and more people seem to want to solve their issues, settle their anger, with a gun.

I grew up with guns. I own several. I’ve been angry and filled with hate in certain points of my life. At no point did the idea of picking up one of my guns and solving my problems occur to me.

Morgan Freeman at the end of Seven might be right now.
