Wife has casually suggested cutting Dish Network and going full-streaming a few times now, and I've given a firm no each time. But it's getting harder to make the case, when YouTube TV is cheaper and still offers everything that I usually watch on cable. I haven't really paid close attention to the GYERO discussions/arguments about cord-cutting over the years, but anyone with a pro/con about YouTube TV specifically would be helpful.

Pros - Most everything about it. Far and away the best streaming interface and being able to organize your guide/setup exactly how you want it is fantastic.

Cons - No Reds, no designated “previous channel” button and, while it’s completely nitpicky… it’s really unfortunate that the guide doesn’t differentiate between men’s and women’s college basketball games. You see that Michigan State and Wisconsin are playing and flip it over only to be disappointed.

Playing Hopkins at the 3 disrupts chemistry more than playing Sharpe right now.

We need 3 guards on the court at all times. Cal is only willing to play 4 of them. So, if we get 1 guard in early foul trouble, the other 2 starters are not able to come out of the game. That's not to mention if 1 is injured or more than 1 are in foul trouble.

That's just not a good recipe when you're talking about winning 6 games for a title. Cal either needs to start playing Allen some minutes or he has to incorporate Sharpe for 5-10 minutes.

A few days in and my wife and daughter are doing well. Obviously biased opinion is that she's absolutely beautiful.

It will be awhile until we get a sleep schedule figured out. RIght now we've alternated a few hours of sleep while the other looks after her. It's been rare and it gives me complete anxiety and panic when the 3 of us are all asleep.

My wife's grandmother, whom we named the baby after, had recently been overcome with dementia and we had to put in hospice care last week. She passed away yesterday but was thankfully able to be with us when our daughter was born. She was able to see pictures and some videos of her in her last couple of days. My mother-in-law stayed with her mom until the end. She ultimately had to say goodbye to her mother and got to meet her granddaughter, who share a name, on the same day. It was pretty emotional to watch.

- Eff it, hire Jurich. That way all of their idols who built them up during their golden era would ultimately fail, usually in a shamefully miserable manner and rip their heart out on multiple occasions.

- 'Ten' was one of those quintessential formative albums of my high school yute. Played every song but 'release' in our garage band. But after 'Vs'., the band went way to melancholy and preachy a direction for my taste. A decent tune here or there, but not stem-to-stern listening like their first two albums.

- Finished Reacher. It does a decent job sticking to the character from the novel, but there's a strong hint of McBain in there as well. Solid time-killer.

- The Rogan thing is this generations Twisted Sister vs. Tipper Gore on Capital Hill. Just need a modern day John Denver to come to the defense of Rogan and show just how blatantly Orwellian the whole thing is.

I can’t get mad at schools for cancelling on Thursday. Based on weather forecasts there was a good chance it was going to be a shitshow (like it was with the snow forecast they made the same call on). Had the forecast held, they would have had to deal with bitching about school buses taking kids home - and parents picking kids up - in icy conditions in the middle of the day. That’s why they have NTI.
By Wednesday afternoon the forecast was saying the ice would come in the evening. Also, our daycare closed which is only supposed to happen when UK is closed.

As for schools, **** is just infuriating and ridiculous.

I’ve said it a million times but Joe Balognas had the best Buffalo wings in lex, unfortunately they’ve been off the menu for about 4 months. Was gonna take my son there before the vandy game but I called ahead and was told they were still out. Place is probably on its last legs.

I’ve got sling and basically only use it for the espn login. I don’t actually watch games on sling bc the app glitches and rewinds itself 5-10m about 4 times an hour. It’s ridiculous.

I wish Cal had it in him to avoid talent with stupid people impacting real decisions.

Cal has to know they will tell him to declare at seasons end and this kid will never play here.

This is t the first stupid handlers we have run into either.

krazy, if you know of some magical fountain of 5 star talent who doesn't come with handlers and street agents, go ahead and let Cal know.

That's how the sausage is made.

That said, I feel utterly no allegiance to Jarred Vanderbilt and do not care about him at all. I'm not sure what either he or UK got from that ******** year. I'll feel the same way about Sharpe if he doesn't play next year.

A good NIL policy should solve a lot of this and make it easier to keep guys multiple years.

I hope you're right, but it's just weird that the same coach that ripped up Boogie's scholarship would let a top 5 pick come back for a season.
