I think it will be tough for Cal to ever go back to frosh-dominated rosters. Our defense has been so good because Cal has seasoned guards who understand and execute the assignments given. No brain farts. No blaming. Mintz as 6 is a luxury no team has.

Mintz’s steal and run out dunk gutted Bama’s soul.

Lovable roster with all effort.

I love Oscar. We all love Oscar. But I’m to the point where I want this team to win it all for Mintz.

That dude played through the worst season of Kentucky Basketball in our lifetimes. Never complained. Always played hard. Didn’t have to come back. Could have moved on with his life wherever that took him. He’s by all accounts an amazing dude. He deserves this.

Floppy-banged ********
Midway through the first when we were clawing back the camera flashed to this indigenous southern frat guy flossing a Vinny Vines polo under Patagonia puff jacket with a fresh ******* haircut and the room collectively wondered if IsRichie’s head exploded in amazement.

Broken record but more squeezes for Grady. 4 attempts before that final dagger is really an affront to the game of basketball in general.

Collins is fish too water at the charity stripe. Didn’t touch the iron once on those 5 makes. Bit squirrelly with his gate but potential is oozing out of the guy.

Not a chance they shoot 10% from behind the arc in Rupp. Also no chance Wheeler no-shows in the points column. Think we see an NBA Jam tilt in two weeks.

According to Rafters and somone “plugged in” to the players Sharpe is gone 100%, Hopkins is going to transfer and Collins is going to declare no matter what.

Might as well win it all I guess.

Collins goes 10 & 6 in 9 minutes....👀

Obviously he won't be that efficient every game, but I dig it.

(Keion had 10 & 5 in 27 minutes 🤦‍♂️)

I would highly encourage everyone to watch the highlights with Leach's call, and specifically focus on the crowd reactions.

The second half where you can see the student section is particularly tasty.

Sharpe playing a minute here was the grandest delusion of all. I have no idea what Cal's angle was, as I'd argue it's kept us from landing other talent who thought he was going to be on the team next year.

I'm willing to bet Cal knows what he is doing and that you don't have any idea what you are talking about. Many of you act like Cal is out to sabotage the program or something. Let's see how it plays out first.

Jesus Christ! We're having a great season. Can we not enjoy it?

We really need him to play. The other real contenders all have an elite freak. However, if that ship hasn't sailed it's gotta be close.

Honestly, I'm not concerned about it. I trust Cal. Whatever he decides to do will be best for the team. I'm going to focus on who is actually playing because they're all doing a pretty good job. That's just me.

Why do we need a reclassified HS senior who’s practiced for 4 weeks and has never played college basketball to come in and change the lineup and rotation for our top 5 team in the middle of February again? What??

And what exactly are all you people pining for him to play even expecting? Are you wanting him replace one of the starters? No? Then what is the expectation? That he can come in for 10 mins and make this incredible impact? If that’s the case why wouldn’t he be a starter, and how is that in anyway a realistic expectation. Going from February to March almost all teams shorten their rotations and play 7 or 8 guys tops, so who do you want Sharpe to replace? I’m completely bewildered by the whole thought.

Furthermore, if it's his intent to enter the draft, then why hang around UK if you aren't going to play? Why come to UK in the first place? He had plenty of opportunities to prepare for the draft elsewhere and get paid for it. He chose to come here instead. Why is that?

Because he's an elite talent. That's kinda important.

I tell you what’s worse than this Sharpe situation, people who put their feet up on the wall in the bulkhead row on a plane. It’s one thing to do it in Coach, but in first class it should be grounds for dismissal from the plane.

Also, there are cretins on my flight right now who are refusing to gate check even though the overhead space is full. Just telling the flight attendants it’s not going to happen like they’re in a Mexican standoff. So we’re delayed.

The hell is going on in this country?

I mean I asked the question, feel free to answer it, what do you want from him? We’re not playing 11 guys 10 minutes, we’re headed into the “gelling and shortening rotation” part of the season so who would you like him to currently take valuable minutes from? What is his true skill that we are currently missing or that he could improve upon and for which player?

- Actually think we’re even more desirable with transfers. Most of these dudes have realized their pro dreams are far fetched. UK gives them a bigtime experience. Think Grady, Tschibwe, Mintz and Wheeler are having fun in the glow of BBN?

- Cal has bigger balls than me playing Collins in a big game, and whaddaya know, he was right. That kid adds some weight and polish, he’s a Top 10 pick with that stroke, measurables and athleticism.

- Who I think is legit:

Kentucky
Gonzaga
Duke - hate their PG but like everything else
Illinois

Auburn- don’t trust their guards at all

Baylor- don’t love Akinjo but think their backcourt has much bigger upside than Auburn

He could certainly give us 10 minutes or so. May save Grady’s legs a bit.

We’re really good but not good enough that this kid can’t contribute.

0% chance Auburn wins it all relying on this headcase.
