Had all kinds of Zurich tickets. Was heading that way but opted for a wodie lunch instead. Good call, as it downpoured and was delayed on Thursday. The whole weekend was a mess. I have bro I go with every year, but the rain crushed our annual routine.

Pretty weak field...is it always that way? Guess being so close to The Players does it no favors in that regard b/c most players also play the Wells Fargo this week.

Props to Jason Day though, that dude plays in EVERYTHING.

It was a decent field, comparatively.

Safe to go ahead and call BBdK a degenerate gambler at this point. Solo casino trips. Daily wagering. Increasingly larger bets. Bookie relationship. Betting on sports he's got zero knowledge of or rooting interest in.

I've lived here 3 years now. Only 5 in Louisville. Only 5 in Knoxville. Haven't lived in Lexington since 03. Not really sure what the joke is.

I love Gambol, always have -- our relationship just keeps getting deeper and better.

I bet responsibly, and am a pretty consistent winner with my conservative style. But yes, I like to bet or compete in pretty much anything that I do, that will never change.

*Hitting Sun Valley for a quick round here n a few. Not a bad way to start the week.

*<---Sucks. I hate Facebook. Just an unnatural irrational hatred towards it.

*Doing nothing for Derby. Staying home and betting on my Twin Spires account. Checked it this morning and have almost 1K from hitting the Derby last year. Hope the luck continues.

Was in South End yesterday and played a quick round with a buddy @ Sun Valley to catch up. It is embarrassing that they even charge $ to play that dump.

Oh, and Black Mike's baby. [laughing]

Of course, it's not uncommon to have a baby look like a parent, but DAMN. Usually it takes at least a little while for that stuff to show. Little Linden came out of the womb dead-on.

-I chip and putt a few times per week in the summer at Sun Valley during lunch. Actually a pretty big/decent putting green. I've walked the front a few times, but never the back. Looks like a few cool holes back there from the road...but it's a Dixie Hwy public/park course, what do you expect?

Ha, that's pretty much true as well -- although I've definitely toned that down over the years. I drink on Tuesdays and most Saturdays these days, unless out of town, then only on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. :sunglasses:

-Spin cycle of what? I love to Gambol, and worship casinos -- this isn't a new development. I have a $100 max unit on sports wagering, and play $5-10 craps tables.

I rarely drink on Fridays, and pretty much never on Sundays unless it involves a few beers while grilling.

Never could do Sunday Funday, I get depressed every Sunday around 4pm.

So, rolled down to Atlanta early Friday to visit my buddy and his pregnant wife, who also happens to be one of the lass's best friends. They introduced us, actually, and then left town right before we started dating. It was a grown up trip, but we still managed to get nice and oiled both nights. They live out in Roswell, which is a gorgeous area 25 minutes or so from downtown. Reminds me of the Carolinas and Virginia with all the pines and such. I just love those areas.

Friday night, after pounding all day, hit up a trendy restaurant in Buckhead and then some dope rooftop bar, followed by this speakeasy right there by East Andrews. I love Buckhead, but it's so weird to me. It's basically the South's Dubai- this one downtown area full of swanky skyscrapers that look they were all built within the last 5 years. Just has that feel of new money, but little character at all. Atlanta is so odd- three separate downtowns in one city.

Saturday, hit up this street festival in the Little Five Points area- which is the urban, artistic part of town. Now, that was cool and interesting. Loved that part of the city and was the first I've ever been in Atlanta that wasn't just preppy and moneyed. The festival was huge and awesome. Great food and beer. Fun parade. All kinds of art. It was definitely hipster, diverse and urban, but it really stood out to me the lack of hoodrats/white trash like you see at Cincinnati/Covington Mainstrasse type street festivals. No morbidly obese people waddling around. No bums. No methheads. Got 3-4 "Go Cats!" as I was rocking a UK tee. That's one thing I love about Atlanta- it's pretty much the hub of the SEC, along with Nashville.

Saturday night grabbed dinner in Roswell and rolled back to the house. Really good seeing my buddy and his girl and catching up.

Any of them...just hop on Amazon (or Google). Then play some free online app for an hour, and you've got it.

Craps isn't nearly as intimidating or complicated as it looks. The best bets (Pass, Come) are the easiest, and also the best odds in the casino when played correctly w/ your odds. Throw in a 6/8 here and there, and you can play for hours without really risking too much.

All the guys throwing out 20 bets per roll making the game seem crazy complicated are idiots...sure, they may have their night now and then, but those are mostly all sucker bets & completely unnecessary -- and require multiple hot rollers just to break even. There are a few exceptions, but you can just hop on a table and bet the pass line, watch, and figure it out in no time. The dealers/sticks are typically very helpful as well.

- Never have and never will understand Sunday Funday- and I've felt this way since college.

- Facebook is pretty much how I get my news now. My feed isn't nearly as bad as some of yours. I do like IG a lot more, though.

- Seems nearly every analyst thinks the Bengals killed it this weekend.

A cake job? Lol, ok. It's getting easier now for sure in my 8th year, but building a book from zero while self-generating 100% of your business is far from cake. First 5 years were a grind. The hardest part is indeed over, though.

But it has nothing to do with my job. Like Chad, I've felt the same about Sundays for as long as I can remember.

I don't get drunk on Sundays but it is typically a drinking afternoon. Couple beers or a couple glasses wine. Take Mon, Tues, Thursday off for the most part.

Matt and I got hammered on bourbon Friday- he even puked in the morning. And I was drunk again Saturday. It was a "grown up" trip because his wife- who is fun in her own right- couldn't drink. Trust me- I still feel like **** today.

I work later on Tuesday's, no thanks.

Yeah, I get it. Me too.

-CatScratch: New business for April. I don't have any expenses other than gas & the occasional Chick FilA or whatever I drop by to my real estate people. I'm a 1099 Independent contractor for an agency that pays for everything else.

-I can't imagine having a standing mid-week dinner with neighbors. Different strokes, I guess. Anth's neighbor situation/relationship is pretty cool and perfect for him obviously, but having set plans every week would drive me bonkers -- as would having to have a conversation/greeting with someone every time I saw them outside. I'm on a "wave" basis with my neighbors, and that's pretty perfect for me.

Then you have to tell them why, make an excuse, and for SURE not miss the next one. Just seems like too much pressure, and I pretty much loathe set plans (of any kind) in general these days.

How does hardcore NFL fan do it? Tailgaiting/drinking/pigging out every Sunday...shew, that would be rough imo. Not to mention the late/night games. It takes me til Tuesday to recover from a typical all-day Football Saturday -- being an NFL fan would seemingly ruin the first 60% of every work week.

Yeah, NFL is a different animal. Few drinks on the back deck and over dinner is one thing. But tailgate/gameday drunk? Nope.

I mean, I'm referring to NFL GUY!! The guy with season tickets, in charge (or a regular attendee) of an all day tailgate setup with an equally passionate group of friends, etc, where all day boozing/eating is a built-in part of the experience. That **** is exhausting at a certain age even IF you 'take it easy' on the booze.

Maybe they are conditioned to it after awhile...but just seems like an awful way to prepare for Monday.

I have some buddies that party hard every damn Sunday during foootball season, whether the Bengals are at home or not. I don't get it. Lass gets mad because I won't even go with her to meet her friends at B-dubbs to watch the game. Sorry, babe, I'm good with my couch.

My drinking window is from 5:00 Friday until about midnight Saturday. I don't touch a drop the other 137 hours of the week.

And Sunday is the worst. I never drink then. I know some people can do the "one or two beers" thing, but not me. What's the point of drinking if you have no chance of getting drunk? (I NEED HELP.)

I think I know one of them. He has a name usually reserved for black athletes, do you know who I'm talking about?

He calls me every Monday morning during season around 2am and leaves a 4 minute incoherent/racial/obscene voicemail.
