King Tut's had unbelievable hummus. When I was released from the hospital after surgery, and could eat real food for the first time, it's what I craved....King Tut's hummus. Drove straight there from the hospital, and the stupid place had shut down while I was in the hospital.

If you have zero college friends you're still close to, that's pretty concerning, no? Were you a one semester dropout or something, Hoss?

Pretty consensus you're a great guy, but that's pretty weird. Those are the best/most formative years of one's life, imo.

Should've clarified that I only went for a semester and a half...and that was quite a bit after my tenure in high school.

Even in that brief stay, was a sociable guy, homie...Met a few chicks, was involved in study groups, hit up the library, made it to a couple parties...a few i even chat with on occasion on the FB.

Regret not doing it earlier and on time, though. Few of my friends were SAE's..which has been mentioned briefly before. TmfH's people.

***Update***

Left ear: Some blistering on the eardrum. No pain. Doc did nothing...no cause for concern, apparently.

Right ear: Bruised eardrum, and he fished out a piece of wax the size of a fetus. Went in first with some instrument, but couldn't get it. This was close to the most painful experience of my life (I'm pretty sure he was playing pattycake with my eardrum). Next up it was irrigated. For those who haven't experienced it, it is basically someone taking a squeeze bottle of liquid and pumping about 15 squirts directly into your ear. Quite uncomfortable, but nothing remotely close to the previous excavation project. The nurse was able to remove it after that. I was starting to get concerned I'd need the ear version of a c-section.

Doc referred me to an ENT because my eardrum does not look "normal". Apparently the lower part is bronze in color. Could be f*cked? lol

PSA----->Don't clean your ears with q-tips. You too will grow a wax mummy in your ear.

Ok, here's one - you remember in the lost world when the baby T. rex got separated from its mom and wouldn't stop whining and bitching so they had to wrap it's mouth shut so the mom wouldn't hear it? You are the baby T. rex crying like a little *****, and I'm Jeff goldblum wishing you would just stfu.

Anybody got a link to that site that has the Kentucky state outline apparel? It's pricey, but I'd shell out some dough for a new hat.

State Traditions is cute and all, but it's about the flimsiest/cheapest/lowest quality clothing I own. That **** better look good the first half dozen wears, because that's about all you get.

Hey, thanks for the trivia love, fellas. Let me GYERO for a second: 10th place, State General Knowledge, 8th grade, State Governor's Cup Elite 8, 8th grade, HS State Governor's Cup appearances in 2001, 2003 and 2004 and was one teammate with mono away from going in 2002, SCRIPPS NATIONAL SPELLING BEE 2000.

I actually just got back from Trivia Night in Danville. It's where I've been since the Indiana game...yeah. Tonight my team got 29 out of a possible 55 points and won no prizes because I'm terrible at trivia. Here's how tonight's questions went that I can remember.

First round: Music. Point each for artist and title. Tonight's songs IIRC:

Taylor Swift "Wildest Dreams"
Boston "More than a Feeling"
Chuck Berry "School Days"
Richard Marx "Right Here Waiting"
The Rascals "Beautiful Morning"
Wallflowers "One Headlight"
Color Me Badd "I Wanna Sex You Up"
Earth, Wind & Fire "After the Love is Gone"
J. Geils Band "Freeze Frame"
Mel Tillis "Send Me Down to Tucson"

Second round: Random Trivia

Planet that spins the fastest on its axis (Jupiter)

The last names of the characters on Scooby Doo, plus Shaggy's first name (Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, Norville "Shaggy" Rogers)

The #1 selling Girl Scout cookie (Thin Mints)

The country that Denmark borders to the north (Germany)

The theme from a TV show (it was Archer, we got it)

The current host of America's Funniest Home Videos (Alfonso Ribiero)

Who wrote the opera "Pirates of Penzance" (Gilbert & Sullivan)

The 4 railroads in Monopoly (B&O, Pennsylvania, Shortline, Reading)

The year Tom Cruise jumped on Oprah's couch, Star Wars Episode III came out, Kenny Chesney broke up with Renee Zellweger and Giacomo won the Derby (2005 - got Giacomo and Barbaro mixed up)

The psychiatric term for self-love (Narcissism)

The mileages for the three events of an Ironman Triathlon (Kindly, Get, and Pumped)

The first woman to win SI Sportsperson of the Year (Billie Jean King)

...and then there were 5 questions about Rocky I that I didn't know. The fighter Rocky beat in his first fight, the day Rocky and Adrian went on their first date, the name of the character who said some quote, the name of Rocky's goldfish, the boxer who presented the belt at the Rocky/Apollo fight.

I still think I'm good at trivia. But the evidence is getting fewer and farther between.

Not one to put a lot of stuff out there, but, I've come back to your post again because after all these years, it still haunts me, man.

Spent a couple extra years in high school, and not because i was an eddie, just truancy basically. When I did walk, I wasn't "ready" to forge on in school, so I just went to work.

Fast forward a few years, get going in BCTC, then land a promotion & raise at Lynn's, so, in my mind, I didn't have the time for both. I did, however, have the sense to withdraw (it was two full semesters) and not just drop out for what could still be a triumphant return to higher education.

But what the f*ck..for now, my giving something back is threatening to throw my cousins, my friends kids, and now ol' girl's daughter out the window if they dont hit the books and stay in school.

I immediately returned their polos after getting a couple but their button-ups aren't bad.
