Another crazy rumor out there like so many we've already heard that he may grad transfer out of UNC and wants to go to Kentucky. I saw it mentioned on the national board and on UNC's board. Does anyone know if there's any truth at all to this or just crazy talk?

Saw this rumor a few days ago but wanted to wait till after season to start a thread. Talked with a UNC buddy of mine who actually brought it up while we were golfing. There is definitely smoke there. Just not sure it will come to fruition. Front court of Brooks, Oscar, Ware, and Collins would be nice. Throw the possibility of Keion coming back and it is shaping up nicely.

Why do we keep taking these players from another school? Is that how you build a team, or do you recruit good players, who will stay more then one year. Playing together more then one year, will allow the players to go from being individuals, to being team players. The players Cal recruits are only interested in one thing, getting to the NBA. That was so evident this year, especially with Boston. We have a coach who doesn't give a damn about UK, and winning a National Championship, only about getting players to the NBA. Is that what UK is all about?

Garrison is better than anyone we have. Maybe not Oscar but we need men like this on our front line, not the skinny little kids we have. Hope it’s true and Cal is smart enough to take him.

I think you might have your UNC bigs mixed up. Brooks averaged 10 & 7 this year with a loaded frontcourt for UNC. If he hadn't been hurt this year his numbers would be much better and probably there best big man. He averaged 17 & 8.5 last year. He's a take in my eyes if this is true.

Nope, not mixed up. I've seen him play and we will be once again disappointed if he comes here. Last year, UNC had no scorers except for Anthony, so someone had to shoot. Give me Sharpe, Bacot or Kessler and I would be extremely happy.

Why would he want to go some place he would actually have to go to class and do his own homework and actually take exams ? That’s just silly lol

Do you also not understand why people are picking up groceries instead of doing their own shopping? I bet technology amazes you. But for real times are changing in college basketball you can transfer without sitting out a year and everyone has an extra year so now more then ever should be the time that you consider to take transfers and should consider it every year if the right player is there. That doesn’t mean you also don’t recruit guys that will be here for a few years, at least hopefully they will, you can’t tie a guy down if he wants to transfer.

We still do our own shopping. Some people are probably to lazy to, but not me and my wife. I understand times are changing, but is that better. A small school, not a Top Five Conference school, recruits a player that the big schools didn't want. The coach at the small school works with the player and he improves. Then a Big school, who recruits mostly "One and Done," sees the player and how much he has improved, tells him to come to his school and he will get him in the NBA. The coach at the small school worked with and helped this player improve his game, then loses him to BS, from the big school. Is that fair, and is that how you do in life? Not me! Pretty soon, only the big schools will have the good players, even though someone else made them better. If they had to set out a year, that would help.

Never going to happen. Go pull for that small school. That will fit your agenda better.

Not my hero! Does two wrongs in life, make it OK? I guess I'm from the "Old School," where we earn what we get, and in basketball, not poaching someone else's player, after his coach has worked with him and made him better. Especially if I didn't recruit him out of high school. That's my opinion, but everyone is entitled to their own.

No, I'm for what is right in life, not what I can get. I was brought up to respect other people, not lie, not steal, and respect God, and my country. Where I come from, a handshake was a contract. If your word isn't any good, then your damn sure not. My morals have never changed, and never will. Call it the Rupp era! I call it being a man, who is proud of the person looking back at me in the mirror.

We should have never taken Kyle Macy, Mark Pope or Heshimu Evans by your logic.

Am I understanding you or is your issue with a one year guy?

I may be, but I would have to move the whale to find you. It sounds like you would have sex with your Mom if it would get you what you want. I'm not like you. I believe in being fair in life. Sounds like I know what you are, and it is not the type of person I would trust, and I doubt if anyone else does.

Does respecting God include showing respect for Cal on a Kentucky website that thousands of people see and read or is that beyond what God would teach?
