Anthony Johnson’s pick six from our own endzone against Bama is hard to top, but so is Mo hitting the floater to knock off UCONN. Dak with “the run” in Death Valley may top them all.
That moment is still the loudest our stadium has ever been despite having played plenty of big games in the expanded stadium since then.

It's not really MSU or really a favorite but it happened here, but it was one of the strangest things I ever saw on the court. Back either under Richard Williams or very early during the Stansbury years, one of the smaller Tennessee schools came into the Hump. I think it was Tennessee Tech. One of their players got into an altercation on the court with one of ours. It was pretty heated and the Tech guy was going nuts. The coach from Tech came out of the court to try to calm his guy down and the player punched him in the face, almost decked him. The crowd sort of gasped. He had already been ejected and it took the cops to get him off the floor. Two of them escorted him to the locker room. Nobody from Tech would come near him. My old coach Dad said that he wouldn't have let the guy back on the bus after the game.

Another one from basketball, this time from the Bob Boyd years, Jeff Malone's last year to be exact. I was a student. We were up by one over UGA they were inbounding the ball under their goal with about three seconds left. The refs called a foul under the goal on UGA. Hugh Durham, UGA's coach went absolutely insane. He came storming off the bench and got in the ref's face. Tech #1. He kept at it for at least 3-4 minutes, eventually got Tech #2. Then he spun on his heal and marched all the way down to the other end of the court to get in the other ref's (only two refs back then) face, he received Tech #3 as soon as he opened his mouth. His assistants finally got him off the court. Malone went to the line to shoot 8 free throws. He made seven and we won by eight. 7 points in 3 seconds after UGA had the ball under their on goal.
Then I remember after the game, Hugh Durham came up and began speaking with the Georgia play by play guy like he didn't have a care in the world.

And the Bama bench jumping up, starting on the floor, looking at Harvey, taking a step back and pointing.

Years ago Kentucky comes to Starkville. Bubba Walker gets into a fight with Dan Issel. Beats him bloody. We go up and are winning till Dan comes back and they stomp us. Dan didn't want no more od Bubba Walker.

My personal favorite was the flea flicker from Michael Davis to Todd Jordan to Eric Moulds for a 50 yard touchdown in the 1993 Egg Bowl. It was just a beautiful play and at the time I had to wait until the news came on to see it since the game was only on the radio. MSU has put a replay of it out a couple of years ago and I enjoy watching it from time to time.

Mine is calling the Hogs in front of their section from the field after beating Arkansas in 98 to clinch the West while the goalposts were coming down.

As far as random experiences on campus, the first time I met Jerry Rice in the Tin Gym was a big deal for me.
Shot a couple of baskets with Jerry “World” Rice at the Tin Gym one time.... also use to see Andre Agassi all of the time around 1989 in Starkville.

Yeah, that was funny. They succeeded in getting rid of it, but kept "downtown Louis-vuuuuuuuule".

He and Byrne and other underlings came to Huntsville right after he was hired, and he (Mullen) struck me as being very unfriendly. Byrne, on the other hand, came across great.

I was in one of the 4 dormitories shaped like boomarangs at the bottom of the hill. I was a freshman, trudging up the hill in the rain to my 7 o'clock algebra class. At the top of the hill was our head majorette, tall blonde, absolutely gorgeous, practicing her twirling. She saw me and smiled. All 110 pounds of me fell in love.

Man, it must suck to be an Ole Miss fan and take this much time to make such a ****** troll attempt.

-2004 Basketball last regular season game at Alabama. We came back from being down big. Timmy Bowers tied it in regulation then won it in OT. This was my first year as a fan (2003-2004)

-2005 egg bowl, the first one I saw us win. Jerious Norwood running for three TDs and catching another

-2007 Egg Bowl, Derek Pegues punt return TD to tie it after we were down 14-0 in 4Q.

-2012 I think baseball vs ole Miss. Game 2 of SBW we were down like 5-2 or something and tied it and won it in extras on a bunch of wild ****. I think it's also the attendance record or was at the time

-2014 @LSU, being a belligerent drunk ******* in the middle of a LSU section while we whipped their ***. All the big plays to Bear including the first TD, JRob long TD run, stopping them on 4th down at the goal line and of course Dak's famous run. On a side note had my first threesome that night so this might be #1

-2014 vs. Auburn.. just everything

-WBB vs UConn. Some Baylor fan in Dallas sold me his tickets after we beat them in E8. Great seats and awesome game. UConn fans were pissed at me, again, for being a belligerent drunk *******

Haven't been too many great memories since then. Baseball last year was fun though.

I was there. I don't think it knocked him out cold. But it did separate his shoulder.

That was the ice storm game. Free admission to anyone who could make it- and it was nothing but students who've been stuck inside for 4 days after the sleet storm. When Ken Harvey connected with that chin, the place became unglued. The Alabama players were probably totally psyched out by that time.

For me it was Omaha 2013. I’ll never forget getting to the ball park the morning of game 1 vs UCLA and seeing nothing but maroon wrapped all the way around the stadium and down the street. It was amazing to see that many state fans that I’m sure most came from a long way away to get there.

But then a damn tornado came through, we got soaked and I sweat that had to be the hottest day of my life standing out in Omaha waiting for the game to start. It was all worth it though. Watching State play for a national championship was honestly something I never thought would happen.

Speaking of The Fant suspension, I was in the Jackson airport about to start the first flight in my trip to Eugene, when I got word that I was going to the game but Fant wasn’t. That was a sinking feeling.

I was in the Salt Lake City airport when I found out that I would be there but KF, our starting QB would not.
