The Mountain West also won a Rose Bowl. TCU was in the Mountain West when they beat Wisconsin in 2011.
From 2000 to 2014, the Mountain West and the Big Ten won the same number of Rose Bowls - one each.
Our players and coaches were worn out. I mean, it's only 9 months till the next game (barring Covid-20 cancelling the season).
2000 - Wisconsin beat Stanford
2010 - Ohio St beat Oregon
2014 - Mich St beat Stanford
Also, 3 of those years in your timeframe there was no Big 10 representative in the Rose Bowl, so where are you getting these facts. http://www.laalmanac.com/sports/sp01ab.php

I said that from 2000 to 2014 the Big Ten won one Rose Bowl. It was the one in the middle:

I never said there was a Big Ten team in the Rose Bowl each of those years. I said that in that time frame, the Big Ten and Mountain West each won one Rose Bowl. What about that statement was incorrect?
If I re-phrase it and say BETWEEN 2000 and 2014 the Big Ten won ONE Rose Bowl, will that make you feel better?

Wisky will be now 17-15 in bowl games they have been in 19 consecutive bowl games Longest in the B1G conference because tOSU was on probation for 2012...
Okay then, between 2000 and 2014, the Big Ten - impressively and against all odds - won a grand total of one Rose Bowl, despite traveling all the way to the West Coast, across at least two time zones, and having to play in warm weather against closer-to-home teams that practically slept in their own beds.
Is that better?
We will agree to disagree on this..They’ve been a top 10 or 11 program since the start of 2000 and have played in 6 New Years6 bowl games despite winning only two of them....
I'm not disputing anything they've (almost) accomplished

My point is the Rose Bowl has been PAC10 #1 vs Big Ten #2-3 for a lot of those Ls
Another point that is overlooked is the Big Ten gives 4 year guaranteed scholarships. The SEC on average signs an extra recruiting class every 5 years with over signing. That is a huge advantage. College football is not an even playing field and never has been.

He quoted a 7 year period. B1G is like 31-28 (maybe 27) in that timeframe. Your numbers aren’t even possible, to even play 124 bowl games in that period the conference would have to average more than 17 bowl games a year.
