The Mountain West also won a Rose Bowl. TCU was in the Mountain West when they beat Wisconsin in 2011.won the sugar bowl & fiesta bowl, amongst others.
wow!The Mountain West also won a Rose Bowl. TCU was in the Mountain West when they beat Wisconsin in 2011.
From 2000 to 2014, the Mountain West and the Big Ten won the same number of Rose Bowls - one each.
Why didn’t Wisconsin opt out? They have the same amount of wins as us. We see players opting out for the draft on other teams. Our young guys could have gained valuable bowl experience this year especially if we make the playoffs next year.
One INT all season. Now suddenly he's Tanner Lee.Geezus. The WF qb is doing his best to win this one for Wisconsin

What "facts" did I get wrong exactly?2000 - Wisconsin beat Stanford
2010 - Ohio St beat Oregon
2014 - Mich St beat Stanford
Also, 3 of those years in your timeframe there was no Big 10 representative in the Rose Bowl, so where are you getting these facts. http://www.laalmanac.com/sports/sp01ab.php
well, we are talking about 2002 until present, after all. What years just curious?
I know Boise beat OU in 2006 but that has been many moons ago..
Wtf, you said from 2000 to 2014, so you don’t count 2000 or 2014? You want to say 2001 to 2013 ok, but that just sounds stupid picking random time frames. What "facts" did I get wrong exactly?
I said that from 2000 to 2014 the Big Ten won one Rose Bowl. It was the one in the middle:
2000 - Wisconsin beat Stanford
2010 - Ohio St beat Oregon
2014 - Mich St beat Stanford
I never said there was a Big Ten team in the Rose Bowl each of those years. I said that in that time frame, the Big Ten and Mountain West each won one Rose Bowl. What about that statement was incorrect?
If I re-phrase it and say BETWEEN 2000 and 2014 the Big Ten won ONE Rose Bowl, will that make you feel better?
they will also continue their streak of being lame as hellWisky will be now 17-15 in bowl games they have been in 19 consecutive bowl games Longest in the B1G conference because tOSU was on probation for 2012...
Okay then, between 2000 and 2014, the Big Ten - impressively and against all odds - won a grand total of one Rose Bowl, despite traveling all the way to the West Coast, across at least two time zones, and having to play in warm weather against closer-to-home teams that practically slept in their own beds.Wtf, you said from 2000 to 2014, so you don’t count 2000 or 2014? I'm not disputing anything they've (almost) accomplishedWe will agree to disagree on this..They’ve been a top 10 or 11 program since the start of 2000 and have played in 6 New Years6 bowl games despite winning only two of them....

Is that better?
He'll learn his lesson eventually. The Big 10 is a damn good football conference. An by the way, I don’t love the Big 10, I just think the conference is tough as nails with the defense that is played and after the Huskers being a part of it for 10+ Years now, it has been eye opening for me. It still gets dogged on by a ton of people around the country, including yourself obviously, but I just think its a damned good hard nosed conference top to bottom most years.
this is one of those head/heart things. He'll learn his lesson eventually. The Big 10 is a damn good football conference.
Ohio State is undefeated in Rose Bowls with 16 Big Ten titles since 1985![]()
Garrett Groshek is no Wyatt Mazour.
Ohio State is an elite football program. As much as I dislike OSU, it's the one Big Ten program that backs up its blowharding with actual performance.Ohio State is undefeated in Rose Bowls with 16 Big Ten titles since 1985![]()
They’ve only won 4 or 5 Rose Bowls since 1985..
They’ve lost a string of bowl games since that time too..
A very Nebraska like game for WF
Well played.Wisconsin didn't beat one team with a winning record this year. Can you believe that?
He quoted a 7 year period. B1G is like 31-28 (maybe 27) in that timeframe. Your numbers aren’t even possible, to even play 124 bowl games in that period the conference would have to average more than 17 bowl games a year.@Muskyhunter16 the B1G is 55-69 in bowl games in that same time frame (pathetically horrendous, dead last in all of P5, only the AAC and MAC are worse in FBS). they're 3rd best in P5 against the spread, behind the SEC and ACC.
moneylines are for men, spreads are for boys.
I'll once again be laughing all the way to the bank this bowl season courtesy of the B1G's putridity against the rest of college football.
also, learn how to quote posts one time for us. least you can do while insisting on stanning this garbage pile conference constantly.
he said since 2002. I used the exact same time frame as he did. see message #13 in this thread. his post is within the part he quoted me, last line.He quoted a 7 year period.
