We all know how Lifetime movies used to go. Poor helpless, woman is getting abused by an evil alpha-male partner, until she meets the effeminate playhouse director who is the only guy who is safe to be around. Now it's the entire Disney movie franchise with endless MeToo themes. I'm tired of taking my sons to see animated movies or action movies that feature a 'female empowerment' theme, along with a noticeably derogatory attitude toward males. Whether it is Wreck-It Ralph II, Cars III, Star Wars VII-VIII it's an endless stream of tough girls who are opposed by mean bullying boys. I'm getting really sick of raising my two boys in a society that just can't accept that there are boys that have things hard too, and that they too need positive encouragement.
To top it off I'm trying to find a STEM camp for my sons over Spring break or summer and guess what, there are classes devoted just to females, along with the mixed gender classes. 3/4 of the seats are effectively devoted to females because of some BS that there are too few females in IT. There are TONS of females already in IT. Good job discouraging yong boys who are really interested by telling them that they aren't as wanted.
