Hey guyZ, the CU player intentionally tried to injure Martinez and was close to knocking him out the whole year. But that’s football.

Expect piss balloons on Saturday and your car to be keyed. But hey...again, that’s football. This is about the only game Colorado fans can get up for.

Not justifying a damn thing. It's football. Did Callier give him a little something extra in slow motion? Sure. Again, have you played or watched any football? Consider the laughter in the B1G when closet boy threw that hissy fit and submitted the play.

Late hit. Winfree missed 5 weeks. No one bothered parsing the clip and uploading it because, well.... FOOTBALL.

Exactly. Almost certain of it.

Let me bottom line this for you "knowledgeable" football fans. This should be your response.

Callier gave Martinez a little something extra. Oh well, it's football. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCE should grown adults or kids for that matter take to social media and harass a 19 year old with vile and disgusting posts and tweets. It's totally unacceptable.

There - end of story. A marginally dirty play that happens all the time. It's absolutely surreal reading/watching you guys react to something Nebraska player does EVERY DAMN GAME.
Let me say that yes I have indeed played football played on the defensive side... and no I can say that twisting someone’s leg on purpose is not something that happens on every play. In fact for a majority of players it’s kind of the un written rule that we follow that says you hate to see anyone get injured... do injuries happen, yup they do... do people try to purposely injury other, not typically but you do occasionally get a few classless players that do try to do it intentionally

Edit: I will give you credit for one thing only, you are correct there is no room for grown *** men to go and tweet a 19 year old anything, you let the players handle it... I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Nebraska player try to get a little revenge on Saturday, and I also wouldn’t be surprised that if something happened that CU fans will come complaining... but honestly I’d expect NU to honestly just play and not try to focus on a revenge play

Yep. Just a little extra after the play was over. Only missed a few weeks afterward.

I'm certain that if the sequence of events goes like this Saturday, all 52 Colorado fans wouldn't say a peep:

1) Colorado is moving the ball pretty well most of the game, has the lead, and is needing to outscore its crappy defense.
2) Mo Barry attempts to separate Montez' lower leg from his upper leg at the knee after a play is over, knocking him out of the game and for several weeks afterward.
3) Colorado can't move the ball after the injury and ultimately loses the game

See now - that's the difference between us. I would never hope for anyone to be injured. I'm sorry Martinez was hurt, but the reaction and hissy fit was totally over the top. And again, the tweets and FB posts were totally inappropriate and my point to begin with. I'm not surprised at the justification, just another example...

Your trying so damn hard to down play this dirty play isn’t not even funny. My post above has the picture of Callier when he makes the twist on his knee. There is no down playing that act. Not even a little bit. Actually....here it is again.

Dude's up here pitching a hissy fit in the wrong place anyhow. It was his local rag that ran the story, not the OWH or the LJS.

Would be willing to wager that virtually nobody up here knew, or cared to know, the name of the kid that did this prior to that story.

Sure, if you slow it down and look real hard - you see Callier with a little extra twist at the end.
a. most likely not when he was injured
b. the pile moved

Again - happens on every single football play. The faux outrage and the weeks long hissy fit you guys threw was surreal. Not to mention - an actual late hit 5 yards out of bounds that was NOT called - knocked our 2nd best WR out for 5 weeks.

I didn't screen shot the Nebraska fans tweets and am not going to waste a second looking for them. They were nasty, vile and totally unbecoming of any fan base - let alone the "classiest fans" in the country. The very fact you are trying to justify that behavior speaks volumes. Its football you Knowledgeable pansies.

It was nice execution by Callier of the Ken Shamrock/Kurt Angle ankle lock. If the ref hadn't called the match so quickly, I think Martinez could have righted himself back up in a perfect position for a Camel Clutch and it would have been game over for Callier.

Good grief - what a flash back. You guys are simply too much. No sense in continuing to beat this dead horse. I'd expect the classiest fan base in the country to have a big problem with many of their own harassing a 19 year old kid with racial slurs and death threats. We all witnessed it in real time guys - stop asking for links and stop justifying that behavior. We are in disagreement to the severity of the dirty play, no surprise. B1G laughed at closet boy and you guys are still fired up. Good stuff.

We are to much? You are on a Husker site crying about fan tweets on a social media site...and we are to much??? If you’re having an issues with what those guys are tweeting...take it up with them. Or better yet, tell the dirty DBag not to play dirty and try and hurt teams QBs because they are torching your defense. Then crap like this wouldn’t happen.

Yet, you defend someone that did it to another player intentionally. It wasn't "a little extra something" it wasn't "in slow motion". He intentionally injured another player. It was dirty and there is no place for it, the fact that you can justify it tells me all I need to know.

I think you’re correct it is pointless to continue beating this dead horse, you have continually ignored and or overlooked any argument that has proven you wrong. You have been successful in coming over here and ruffling some feathers though but come on, your dumbassery has well over staid it’s welcome... your only argument has been well yes this happens in ever play, which actually isn’t an argument so much as it is showing how little knowledge you actually have regarding sportsmanship and actually playing... hints why you haven’t even touched my last post explaining that no that crap doesn’t happen all the time and no there is no room for that crap in football, you wanna twist people’s legs and break crap, take that to the cage... football should be played clean, lots of hard hits but help the player up and go at it again... granted Nebraska has had its fair share of dirty players as well, but the difference is, you’ll never see us go and defend those plays

The shades of 2001 Rocky Calmus ( or however you spell that idiots name) are strong with the Callier kid. Calmus got away with it, and so did this kid. The only difference is this kid didn't graduate. If he gets in the game I hope he gets ear-holed...hard

Yep - you guys just keep going and going. I'm whining on a kNU board? There is no whining coming from me. I know - you know - every CFB fan knows - kNU is pure trash on the internet. For the 4th time - the appropriate response is that behavior is unacceptable. Simple as that. Closet Boy's career is going to end just as badly as the rest these past two decades. Does he have young kids you guys can send death threats through too?

2023..... the next year time that Colorado "fans" will muster the strength to support their football team. Check back later in the season when you can tune into a Colorado game to see their stadium half empty. Oh who am I kidding? No one other than the fans of whoever they're playing will be watching.

Yep, if there is a football play were a kNU little brain has Montez around the ankle and another little brain defender comes in with momentum from the other side - and Montez twists uncomfortably resulting in a minor sprain - that's football. I'll get past it just as fast as I did the late hit that knocked Winfree out for 5 weeks. Very last thing I'm going to do is throw hissy fit after hissy fit or take to social media with racial slurs and vulgar comments/threats.

If you guys call it whining enough - nah - still wont' be whining. Only one post (that I read) said it was unacceptable behavior. I'm not whining that SOME of your fan base took to social media with racist and vile tweets. Simply pointing out after 30+ quotes - all you guys did was whine, justify and even laughingly deny/question the behavior. Again, that's not a surprise. Comical for a classy fan base, but not surprising.

Yet somehow here you are throwing a hissy fit over some twitter posts that weren’t even aimed at you?
Look I’m not saying grown *** men tweeting 19 year olds about a dirty play in football is ever warranted... but what I will say is there has been plenty of proof shown to you that shows that kids intent... yet you have not shown any proof of said tweets... also it is actually getting funny how you continue to ignore the facts presented to you and go back to your same “it happens in every play”. I’m sorry but every time you say that your inner idiot shines a little brighter... let it go, no one was whining on here about this hit until you came here and started this thread, and even then at that point no one was whining, everyone has been trying to show you the obvious.... so please now put your idiot away and step away from your keyboard it will only make you seem more intelligent....

Now they are racial slurs, I'm sure you don't have those either. Could it be because you know, you made them up. I'm sure there were idiots that tweeted dumb things to him, every fan base has idiots (like someone that defends intentionally injuring a player) However, the stuff in the Denver Post article were far from vile or racial. People shouldn't tweet at college athletes, period, but that doesn't somehow make this play any less egregious. It was seriously one of the dirtiest plays I have ever seen and the fact that you won't see it or can't admit speaks volumes.

All I keep reading from Nebraska fan is how knowledgeable they are of their football. All evidence to the contrary. Never seen a fanbase whine so much about a nothing burger that happens damn near every single play. And you want to excuse all the garbage Nebraska fan tweeted at him last season? Some of the most nasty vile tweets I've seen towards a college athlete - all coming from that "classy" fan base who is so nice in Lincoln, but no where else. Especially on line behind their keyboards.

So whats your excuse for whining?

I didn't click the DP article, haven't clicked a DP article in years. I'm referring to all the tweets we saw the week after the game. You guys have some truly racist and nasty fans online. Period. Argue and deny it all you want - don't give the slightest rip.

Callier gave Martinez a little something extra. It's most likely not where he was hurt. It happens all the time. The response from Closet Boy and the little brain fan base was totally disproportionate and continues one year later.
SOME kNU fans took to twitter and facebook with some truly disgusting behavior. Period. Don't know what the DP article says, speaking to what we all saw the week after the game. Hell, it went on most the season.

We can agree to disagree on the severity of Callier's little twist or whether kNU players are guilty of the same behavior all the time. The tweets and FB posts we all saw with our own eyes - that is not for debate.

Hey look, Gronk giving "a little extra" to another player. It's OK, though, because it happened on a football field:
