Giving him anything over this would be like giving a toddler a toy for crying and throwing a fit in wal mart. Do it once and you'll do it for years. The pressure is on Trump, not democrats.

Or... you buy the toy, take it home and make the kid do chores to get it. The kid gets what he wants and you get what you want.

No...... You show your hand like a moron and tell the President there will be NO wall at all... period... non.... none.... nada... no wall...... and then you wonder WHY he won't open the government back up? Fracking morons..... o_O

He does be the one that goes on national tv every few days to change his stance. Don't know if it's pressure or stupidity or general Trumpness.

It's not pressure.... so it's stupidity or Trumpness... I'm thinking it's Trumpness.

You'd buy the toy and then give it to them for doing what they should have been doing already?

You teach them how to work for something. You get something in exchange.

But hey.... your approach.... working wonders. [roll]

My way teaches them that you have to do what you are supposed to do as a minimum and that even them you arent entitled to anything. You are the ones who elected a child and are now mad that nobody will give him his toys.

It’s not an us or them. We’re all losing because of this and both sides have a play in it.

Your logic is absolutely maddening to me on this. THEY HAD 2 YEARS to do something....they did nothing. Now we are just going to let a President hold our government/economy hostage whenever they don't get their way...like WTF?

When President Woke demands 1 trillion dollars to beat global warming and shuts down the government, you're going to be fine with giving him/her/nongendered $20 bn and a tougher EPA for some fuel tax credits and call it a compromise? PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTT

Logic. Can you change what happened for the past 2 years? No. You can only address things going forward. So stop worrying about what he did/didn't do for the past 2 years. Worry about what you can control and change NOW and going forward. And stop expecting him to act in a manner that YOU find suitable. You sound like the woman who keeps expecting her man to change.... it ain't happening.

Only one person has daid they wanted a shutdown. And hes the same guy who could end it today.

Nancy could end it today as well. With these simple words, "The House will vote and pass spending for $5 billion for a wall."

Shutdown.... ended.

Open the gov't, declare the Nat'l emergency, blame Obama judges. Trumpers will talk about his 4d chess moves and how it pwned the libz.
You miss the part about him not budging?

Either you want the government opened or you don’t. If you want it open, Dems will need to cave, he isn’t going to.

Going forward....the strategy of allowing hijackers and hostage takers to get their way is AWFUL. That is WAY worse then simply pointing out their hypocrisy.

lol. Tired of talking about it. We'll see. Wonder if bad economic numbers doesn't start moving him? In any event, doesn't matter what we say here. I've made my predictions and my reasons.

What motivation would Trump have. Only thing I can think of is Legacy/Ego. So play to it.

We will see.

This idea democrats are going to cave idea is silly. Their stance is that they wont negotiate while the government is shutdown. Trump said hed shut it down over the wall and did. He could open it today with a word.

Honest question....do you think forcing Nancy out and caving to Trump forces the Democrats to the middle?

No, but a preventable disaster would. Or if by some strange happening an increasing number of Hispanic voters turn to voting Republican. That would be pretty ironic if that voting block decided they liked security or the economy. Wonder if the recent NPR poll was an indication of frustration in that voting block. They may not want more caravans either.

Maybe he just wants to golf. Will be great if he folds to golf.

That is what BO did day after Benghazi. And attended a fund raiser in Vegas too. But it was ok. We only lost an ambassador and a couple of other Americans.

Dems do not want the immigration issue solved. Neither do many Republicans. The Democrat radical Left wing wants open borders, and the more moderate sections of the Republican party... the RINOs... want the steady supply of cheap labor for their well healed donor/ lobby class.

The main reason neither faction wants the issue solved is votes. Both sides use it to collect votes and stay in power. Dems want a permanent dependent underclass, Republicans want a regular supply of cheap labor for agriculture, hospitality and the service industry lobby. It's all a giant scam.

WOW.......you said that dems want steady supply of cheap labor for their well-healed donor class.
Yes this is unique to dems........Lordy you are freaking lame.

You either are illiterate or a liar. Go back and read my post. You misquoted me but it speaks for itself. I know one thing about you. You don't have the courage or intellectual honesty to admit why you favor open borders or unlimited unchecked immigration. Go ahead and lie and say you don't.

This article I linked to earlier in another thread on this very topic I think accurately explains why the Left wants open borders and no limits on immigration. How much of it do you disagree with? Honestly?

https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/01/democrats-immigration-policy-even-more/

excerpts:
  • The first and most obvious reason is political. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, chain migration, sanctuary cities, and citizenship for immigrants living in the country illegally will give the Left political power. (you disagree?)

  • The second reason for the Left’s support for virtually unlimited immigration is that one of the most enduring tenets of the Left — from Karl Marx to the present-day Democratic party and left-wing parties in Western Europe — is that the nation-state is an anachronism. (you disagree? Why?)

  • The third reason is the power of feeling good about oneself. It would be difficult to overstate the significance of feeling good about oneself as a primary factor in why people adopt left-wing policies (that's not True?...Liar)

I encourage you to read this...again I know you will lie to me just as the rest of the Left lies to America over this issue. But read it for yourself, and see how much of it if any you honestly disagree with? Or is it exactly what you think, why you think it, but are just too much of a coward or too dishonest to admit it either to me or yourself?

....in conclusion:
"If any one of these reasons accurately describes the Left’s attitude toward America and immigration, America is headed for trouble. If all three are accurate, America is headed for an existential crisis".

You continue to lie (you suck at it) about my political beliefs. I do not believe in open borders. I believe in managed immigration. Always have.

I asked you to explain what parts of that article you disagreed with and why? You didn't point out what you disagreed with but you did accuse me of lying about your true position on immigration. What is it? What did I lie about?

"No borders, no walls, no USA at all!"

Is that the chant of misguided Leftists or folks we should seriously listen to? Link me to your posts condemning that rhetoric.

I won't be disappointed when you don't.

You did say he was for open borders, and now you give him a homework assignment over some article before you'll buy into his claim about his own political stance? You go down this path with so many people, yet you don't return the favor. When pushed, you dodge or assign homework for someone else. People are going to have differing OPINIONS on politics and political issues. You need to get past this "one solution based entirely on the facts I choose to accept" philosophy.
