I just don't think the most powerful person in the world saying people should be put to death is a nonsensical thing to discuss. But it certainly appears your standard for Dems is higher than your bar for Trump.
now you're putting words in my mouth. I didn't post about trump other than to say that the soldier at the bottom of the chain of command doesn't get orders from Trump.

I posted that I believe punished by "death is over the top".

You didn't even mention my statements on orders or chain of command. Just out of curiosity, did you ever serve in the military? If yes, you'd understand my post. I served for 20 years. Never once got an illegal order and for sure never got an order from other than the person most directly in my chain of command.

The members who participated in the video know this. Which brings me back to the original question "what were they trying to accomplish?

One more time, It is over the top for the president to call for "punishment by death" I can't be any clearer.

I didn’t put words in your mouth. I said how it appears. That’s my opinion

Saying what they did (whether you think it accomplished anything or not) is sedition and talking about punishable by death, all caps, etc, after all the talk months ago about political violence and rhetoric, from the most powerful person on earth with a fanatical following, including about a senator who’s wife was shot in the head at a rally, is wild. And the reason your response made it appear the way it did is you spent 75% of your post talking about the Dems, and sort of ho hum about that wacky Trump going over the top again. It just normalizes it. And it is not normal. It should not become normal.

Anyway, I don’t think you’re a bad person or anything, but you consistently downplay things that Trump or his administration does and try to compare it to things that are just not comparable.

(I have said before I didn’t serve but truly have a great respect for those who did)

Nancy knows.

President Trump is the duly elected Commander-in-Chief. This ongoing seditious conspiracy to undermine his authority is an act of war against the Constitution itself.

They should all be investigated and charged for violations of 18 USC 2387. Every tool of justice should be on the table.

All of us who served under Clinton and/or Obama remember what it was like to receive lawful orders that we found reprehensible and which violated our personal political beliefs.

But we never once pretended those orders were “unlawful,” we followed our oaths, and we executed those orders to the best of our abilities.

It is because we all lived through those dark days with our honor intact that we find the current words of these treasonous Democrat veterans in Congress so despicable.

A big AMEN for this one from someone who has served under everyone starting with Reagan.

it only seems as if I downplay things about trump because you guys get so far out in your criticism of everything Trump does. You (generic) know that he talks in hyperbole - the best, the greatest ever, never been done before - and yet act as if every time he says it he really means it.

It's kind of like when, during the campaign, he said he would get prices down on day 1. Anyone and everyone who has any modicum of intelligence knows, or should know, that a president has no such capability.. Yet, folks get concerned when prices didn't go down on day 1.

Politicians - both parties -say things that have little meaning or reality. You know it, I know it. The border is secured, no undocumented migrants are on Medicare, no undocumented migrants are receiving SNAP, no one unauthorized is voting in elections...we all know these statements are not true, why get upset when a politician says the opposite. They know it's not true too, but it plays well for their voting base.

aaMaybe I was around this stuff for too long and have a jaded opinion of the process. But, I have to admit, when I read Trump's comments about the punishment by death, I knew is was just statement and wasn't/isn't going to happen.

So, you didn't serve, I have no problems with that. But re read my previous post on chain of command.

And, just so you know, you are 100% right in that I'm not a bad guy. I'm a wonderful human being, smart; world traveled; played in politics here and in numerous foreign countries; met Presidents, ministers ,elected officials all over; plus many jobs in the business world., many involving politicians (company I worked for sold munitions and other items of national security not sold "off the shelf").
And, just so you know, not that you don't already, politicians throughout the world say things just like Trump, although not as harshly They all have a base that they have to "feed or keep warm"

So, do you really think that the 6, I believe, will be punished by death? In 2025? come on, that comment does not even warrant conversation. Why make it such an item? Oh, trump should not have said it...trump shouldn't say a lot of things, Why get upset by it?

Somebody’s a little defensive, eh captain? Maybe this will help:

894. ARTICLE 94. Mutiny or Sedition
(a) Any person subject to this chapter who–
(1) with intent to usurp or override lawful military authority, refuses, in concert with any other person, to obey orders or otherwise do his duty or creates any violence or disturbance is guilty of mutiny; (2) with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of lawful civil authority, creates, in concert with any other person, revolt, violence, or disturbance against that authority is guilty of sedition; (3) fails to do his utmost to prevent and suppress a mutiny or sedition being committed in his presence, or fails to take all reasonable means to inform his superior commissioned officer or commanding officer of a mutiny or sedition which he knows or has reason to believe is taking place, is guilty of a failure to suppress or report a mutiny or sedition.
(b) A person who is found guilty of attempted mutiny, mutiny, sedition, or failure to suppress or report a mutiny or sedition shall be “punished by death” or such other punishment as a court- martial may direct.

It's a ******* shame that he was brought back from orbit.

It's called justice. That's all most people want.....justice. I know you don't understand it.
No, I definitely understand and care about justice alot. In fact, it's one of my most important, fundamental, and closely held beliefs.

In this instance, I was simply curious what you would consider "their due" for their perceived crimes would be, or simply put, what does 'justice' look like for you in regards to those who are politically opposed/your political enemies?

🚨 BREAKING — Trump says the U.S. MILITARY COURTS are now looking into Democrat Sedition

Trump was asked if he’s worried some troops might disobey direct orders after Democrats released their shocking “don’t follow Trump” video.

His answer was absolute:

“NO. I don’t worry about anything like that — because I’m a LEADER and they do as I say.”

Then he dropped the hammer:

“What they did was TRAITOROUS…
They very seriously broke the law.”

He says Pete Hegseth is examining it.
He believes the military is examining it.

And he thinks military courts may already be looking at the Democrats’ behaviour.

This is unprecedented.

Members of Congress and a sitting U.S. Senator publicly told soldiers to disregard the Commander-in-Chief — the kind of act that, as Trump reminded, was historically punishable by death.

He clarified he’s not threatening them —
but he made one thing unmistakably clear:

“They’re in serious trouble.”

Democrats tried to spark insubordination.
Trump just signalled the U.S. military justice system might be stepping in.

COLOR REVOLUTION: The DOJ should interrogate the six Members of Congress and ask them who put them up to their stunt. They seem genuinely worried, someone else convinced them to do the TilTok video. That person is connected to the people working to overthrow the government.

The democrat insurrectionists broke the law period.

This is the law @RealDonaldTrump is looking for: 18 U.S.C. § 2387 — Activities Affecting Armed Forces General
This statute makes it a federal crime to do any of the following with the intent to interfere with U.S. military operations:
1.Advise, urge, or attempt to cause:
•insubordination,
•disloyalty,
•mutiny, or
•refusal of duty
among members of the U.S. military.
2.Obstruct or attempt to obstruct:
•recruiting,
•enlistment,
•or general military operations.
3.Distribute written materials advocating any of the above.
This law does not require advocating the overthrow of the government — that is § 2385.
Section 2387 is specifically about undermining the functioning of the U.S. military.

Kelly is in deep s h I t.

Trump and Hegseth aren’t going to let these democrat veterans get away with what they were encouraging.

They don’t get to just encourage military service members to defy orders from the Commander In Chief because they don’t agree with his politics.

“The Pentagon on Monday said that it was reviewing what it called “serious allegations of misconduct against” Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona, who was among six Democratic lawmakers harshly criticized by President Donald Trump for urging members of the military to refuse to follow unlawful orders.
The Defense Department did not detail the claims against Kelly, who is a retired captain in the U.S. Navy. The department also did not say who made the allegations.”

“But in a statement revealing the probe on X, the Pentagon suggested that the investigation relates to Kelly’s comments about the power of service members to refuse to follow illegal orders.”

In the past, these people were all untouchable.
Not anymore.

As a veteran, you have an obligation and a standard to live up to.

Senator Mark Kelly was elected in Arizona back in 2020, when there was still massive election fraud in Maricopa County.

But the Hegseth Pentagon is now investigating him.
He better lawyer up!

“The Pentagon said that a “thorough review of these allegations has been initiated to determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures.”
“This matter will be handled in compliance with military law, ensuring due process and impartiality,” the Pentagon said in the statement.
“The Department of War reminds all individuals that military retirees remain subject to the [Uniform Code of Military Justice] for applicable offenses, and federal laws such as 18 U.S.C. § 2387 prohibit actions intended to interfere with the loyalty, morale, or good order and discipline of the armed forces,” the post.
“All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful,” the post said. “A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order.”

Benedict Arnold was, before his infamous betrayal in 1780, widely regarded as one of the most talented and courageous field commanders on the American side during the Revolutionary War. His pre-treason military career (1775–1779) was filled with daring exploits and brilliant victories.

YOU are also a ******* TRAITOR!!!
