lol 5000 posts and being on for over a decade would not make you a Newbie. It says Newbie beneath your handle. It doesn’t matter. I’ve been on here long enough to spot a troll and N_R is definitely one. I enjoy laughing at his backpedaling now and posters from either Tennessee or UCF that idolize him.
After all of this has come to surface. He doesn’t bother me. Nor you. All that matters is that I’m here to support my Huskers with my fellow fans and even though the Huskers are not at the point where any of us fans want them to be, the one that wants to see them get better more than anyone else is Scott Frost. Figured you were probably UCF with Knight in your handle... that doesn’t necessarily make you impartial, but you have a lot to learn if you thought taking up for NR would be well received in this thread.
This may sound funny to you, but Nebraska fans aren’t envious of fans who never have positive things to say about the huskers.
And you just ‘stumbled’ onto this board and ‘just happened’ to pick this thread to read, felt compelled to create a handle to glorify another troll. It doesn’t take a genius to figure all of this out.

I don't know if you saw his original post, but I'll sum it up....
My statement that started this whole thing was not to tie your identity to a bunch of 18-23 year-olds playing a game. I made remark on Saturday...to someone that 3 days later has yet to respond to it (the point being that he either didn't find it offensive, or he has a busier life than we do).
Knight basically said that either people were going crazy because I didn't drink the Husker Kool-Aid to the satisfaction of people on here, or that I "trolled the balls off" of people on here by getting people to react so negatively to a rational, logical statement, like not letting football games ruin our lives.

Why on Earth did you or anyone else need me to do anything in order to move on? I responded to you just now, because we came to a bit of an understanding...but I am not engaging with several others. It isn't hard. I do read them, though, because it's funny how with every post they essentially prove Knight's point.
All of the replies to Knight's posts have either fallen under one of those 2 scenarios (or both in a weird way), or have been completely nuts, like Knight and I being the same person. He has also--accurately I might add--observed that several people responding are either easily triggered, or just jerks, which, again, kind of falls under his second scenario (me being a troll). Heck...one dude complained that I argue. Isn't that pretty much the purpose of these kinds of boards?

Yep, familiar with the details... the challenge is for the last 2+ years we have undeniably had a lot of trolls on this board, and as a result, new posters are placed under a microscope. Everything a newbie posts is picked apart. If the new poster, generally speaking, doesn’t have a lot to say in support of the home team, he is labeled a troll (exactly what I did to you previously). I believe you that the huskers are the team you support. But I had (and sometimes, still have) my doubts. If I had to guess, super optimistic husker fans (where I exist) are frustrating for you because we tend to overlook the negatives.
I don’t think Knight in TN innocently happened along to see how husker fans were doing... I expect that he knew we would be upset about 5-7, upset about no bowl, and sensitive to new posters.
If he was seriously just curious, he would have just looked and not posted. At least, if I were going to another team’s board out of curiosity, that would have been my approach. Especially if the thread I was looking at had nothing to do with the team I support.
Edit: and just FYI, my post on page two was tongue in cheek. PTC was calling it ridiculous, I think, the way you were being treated. Since I was one who called you out, I attempted to twist his post to my advantage. Should have used a smiley face emoji.
Fair enough....but I think people should keep in mind that 1) everyone on here was a newbie at one point, and 2) only a fraction of 1% of the Husker fan base actually posts on here.

A couple of the yahoos in this thread have already started on me on another one.
On a thread on coaching, I mentioned that Herb Brooks is one of the 2 best coaches in any sport in my opinion, in reference to the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team. Probably only a matter of time until I get crap about Brooks being the HC at Minnesota (despite it being long before Nebraska joined the B1G.....and the Huskers not having a hockey team).
