I hope they make the best decision possible but, sadly, unless trains are running and shuttles to the stadium are still on schedule, many of us won’t be able to make it tonight. It would be a shame to have impossible travel conditions that put a damper on the game.

From someone’s FB post -

I was just attempting to get down there. I live 7 miles away in Bridgewater. I work just up the road on River Rd. Rt. 287 is a parking lot because cars can't get OFF the highway. Raritan River over it's bank all through the Johnson Park area and the Bound Brook end. River Road closed completely, river not done rising. Rt 28 is blocked off all through Somerville, Bound Brook, Middlesex. Intermittent closures in Piscataway. I doubt their Bus could even get through.

Forecast for flooding for the Raritan increased to just about the same record level seen for Floyd in 1999, at least at Bound Brook, peaking around 1-2 pm, then declining, as per the graphic. Let's hope Bound Brook, in particular, can handle this. I'm guessing this means River Road will be closed for at least the next 24 hours. Not sure about 18 in NB. Most of the road closures in the NB-Pway local area from last night are now open, so I still think we'll have a game tonight. RU still says classes are on starting at 1 pm...

My very good friend (and fellow rabid RU football/hoops fan and ticket mate) who is a firefighter in Hillsborough said they made numerous water rescues last night, but unfortunately couldn't reach two people who died. Tragic.

Bound Brook is under water. Mandatory evacuations

I think he could exit before the closure coming from the south fwiw.

18 NB is dead stop from just before the Rt 1 interchange to the closure at the express/local split. George St. is dead stop the whole length. Yes, there are ways to navigate the surface streets around the closure but it's nowhere near "no delays".

The game will be a cluster F. 287 will be jammed with cars getting off to the stadium. Add the mobile parking pass along with areas that will be roped off due to muddy lots especially yellow and blue.

Honestly feeding more traffic into there is a disaster right now and not a great idea.

If Temple is already here and their bus can make the trip the game could be played.

Surely someone is local and can walk to the area and get TKR posters a few pictures!

Beautiful day out. Such a ******** shame.

Their best move is to make it to.orrow night.

Saturday afternoon or playing it without fans is an absolute terrible decision.

Piscataway township calling for fans to be barred from the game.

If the town is calling it, no chance it plays tonight with fans. Let’s hope it’s moved to Friday.

oh that would be something, a game would no fans again

people need to stop normalizing games without fans, if cancelled it should be moved to another day with fans, the idea of a game without fans is preposterous but for some reason our society is letting a lot of things go crazy

That‘s not good. The deaths from flooding nor the Raritan flood forecast for today.

I think that also means it’s become more likely that the game will either be postponed or cancelled or maybe played without fans.

if they are problems today, they wont just magically disappear tomorrow for resources...just play the game Saturday at noon, it will be brilliant sunny end of summer day

The best is that he’s still posting, and posting very unintelligent things.

You think he would have stepped away after post #1.
Just calm down and ignore people you disagree with. Some of you people with internet muscles and a proclivity to fight are sad and funny at the same time. It's just one person's opinion who lives in an area that was not heavily impacted by the storm. Don't get so triggered and angry.
