Inflation Up! ⬆️ Interest Rates Up! ⬆️ Fuel Prices Up! ⬆️ Home Prices Up! ⬆️ Car Prices Up! ⬆️ Probability of Interest Rate Hikes!! Up! ⬆️ The Number of Trump’s False Claims That We’ve Won the War! Up! ⬆️ Trump’s Approval Rating Down! ⬇️ Can it get any better than THIS?? 😂

The president does not have direct control over inflation, interest rates, fuel prices, or home prices, as these are influenced by various economic factors and market dynamics. Inflation is a complex process that can be caused by many factors, and the relation between policies and prices is not always straightforward.

Presidents can influence inflation indirectly through fiscal policy, regulatory priorities and appointments to the Federal Reserve. However, they don't control inflation outright. The Federal Reserve plays a major role by setting interest rates and using monetary policy to manage inflation.

Here's the reality: the president doesn't sit in the Oval Office adjusting gas prices like a thermostat. In fact, there's a whole web of factors affecting what you pay at the pump, from global supply and demand to market speculation and even seasonal weather.

The reality is that the housing market is driven by supply and demand like any given capitalistic free market. If you look at housing prices through each term, you’ll find that it’s just an upward trajectory without any real variation.

So why am I getting blamed for all the sh*t I screwed up on my own?

Because you had no clue of all the sh*t you were screwing up with your "autopen"

All true, but as you know, the president and his administration will get the praise or blame based on their 4 year results. It just comes with a seat at the Big Boy table. However, his policies, specifically tariffs and trade policies, and the war, have had a direct negative impact on inflation. Highest level in 3 years and rising. Thats a fact.

The tariffs and trade policies are a shock to the system, but they’ve yielded amazing results through bi-lateral agreements with trillions of dollars committed to the US for investment. Is it impacting inflation? Yes. Something had to be done to supercharge the internal economy we’ve allowed to stagnate for anything outside the Tech sector the last 30 years. Call it a necessary evil. I was wholly against them in his first term, but this time around, I’ve changed my opinion after I began to understand the broader strategy in their usage. You need look no further than the committed investment these countries have committed to in order to offset the tariffs, and its large.

Yes, agreed, the war is contributing to inflation. No argument there. It certainly ran gas prices, but from their peak, they’re down almost a dollar.

Also, the fact still remains true, while inflation is up, it’s not been nearly as bad as it was under Biden. And, if a deal happens with Iran and the straight opens back up, you’ll see inflation crater along with gas prices. I’ve seen estimates that between the US, ME, Ven, and Nigeria, we could see gas getting sub-$2. If that occurs, all costs across the board will come down. There is a reason why the Dems are doing everything they collectively can to sabotage the situation.

This easily explains all the Leftist/Democrat handwringing over Iran. They know if Trump is successful there, it's curtains for them ever re-taking the House or Senate. It's literally a Life or Death fight for them.

There’s no point in discussing anything factual on this forum because you all make up new rules (we were on a break) to fit your ridiculous narrative. What you posted was total BS and you know it. Show me where it says it has to be 60 CONSECUTIVE days. You can’t, you and Trump made that up to support your illegal actions. You and the rest do not debate honestly. You just make **** up and make me do the work of proving you wrong. I’m tired and bored with your silly games, name calling, labeling and pivoting. It’s what you do to deflect from the lies and corruption the administration inflicts on the American people daily. Most of which probably never graduated from HS and are so fricken brainwashed and gullible that they will believe anything that gives them a flicker of hope. Or appeals to their simmering hatred for foreigners and others that think differently than them. Trump has tapped into and unleashed this simmering hatred and is using it to further his agenda. And the sad part is, most Americans are too stupid to realize they are being played. I pray for this country, and leadership, often. You should do the same because the road we’re currently headed on is leading to a multi-car pileup.
More emotions....
No facts

There is no scenario, no set of numbers, no economic analysis in objective side-by-side comparisons where Trump's current economy is inferior to creepy Joe Biden's 4 years of econmic calamity!

None.

That's why the Left is both reluctant to give Trump any credit and is constantly downplaying or attacking his current economic performance! They can't allow the facts to color the perception they're desperately painting that it's all been a total failure.

The measurable facts prove otherwise, and creepy Joe's final results reveal the Truth, but that's not stopping the Left from executing their propaganda campaign through the legacy media that Trump's been a complete disaster.🙄

It's working to some extent. Just read some of the mind numbed economic lunacy from our Leftist chat bots on this forum who eagerly spew their Left wing economic programming with complete confidence. 🤨

Economic ignorance personified.

Agree. However, don’t forget, Biden was saddled with the pandemic and the disruption to the supply chain. The
That would be Biden's mistake as economy takes some time to be influenced by ignorance.
Here we go again. Year 2 and it’s still all about Biden. I asked this question a year ago, when does it become Trump’s economy, and the answer was Year 2. Well here we are and you and the administration continue to Blame Biden. So let’s play counterpoint here and say Biden inherited Donny’s mistakes. Right? Neither Don, his administration nor his Make America Gullible Again followers will EVER accept responsibility for anything negative. They are first in line to take credit for the good, but anything wrong with the economy is Biden’s fault. Sorry, but you can’t have it both ways. I’m still waiting for Donny to end the Russia Ukraine conflict. He promised to end that even BEFORE he took office. And he was quick to end the ACA but has yet to come up with a healthcare plan of his own. So from now on, the Biden Inflation was really the result of bad Trump policies. Got it. 👍

It was just announced this past week that the US has become THE LARGEST ENERGY PRODUCER IN THE WORLD!

That is the most significant development under Trump than anything adherents to creepy Joe's failed energy policies can offer by objective comparison!

That, plus securing our once open border. You can erase every other metric, and those two accomplishments alone under Trump eviscerate anything the whinners and apologists for Biden can make up due to the phony "pandemic" or any other excuse they conjure up to gloss over his failures. Both of those developments happened under Trump and Trump alone, and both were abject failures under Biden pandemic or not!

That turd (Biden) purposely opened up our border to a mass invasion of dangerous criminal illegals and Trump has totally shut it down!

Fact

Creepy Joe also did all he unknowingly did allowing use of his "auto pen" to take us from energy independence to energy dependence by effectively shutting down nearly all of our domestic energy production.Trump reversed all of that, and now 2 years later we are the World's dominant energy producer/exporter.

From AI sources

As of June 2026, the United States has solidified its position as the world's leading oil and natural gas producer and, as of May 2026, the top global exporter of oil. Driven by high shale production—notably in the Permian Basin—and surging LNG exports, the U.S. has overtaken Saudi Arabia and Russia, transforming from a historical energy importer into a dominant global energy superpower.

Again. Nothing is more significant in terms of having a lasting impact on our economic performance, and the Left can neither ignore those outstanding policy results nor offer anything superior.

Fact

Trump’s economy vs Biden’s economy

Blaming Spider-Man GIF

Same ****, different day. Then, you have morons like Kevin Hasset claiming the economy is in a great space because of increased credit card spending. No, retard that’s called desperation because nobody can afford anything.

And, before someone says it - I know the stock market is at record highs. However, that does little to solve the affordability problem, which no one in this admin seems to give a damn about or they gaslight us as if it’s not an issue. Also, only 43% of the working population has a 401K, so to continue to use that talking point as if it’s the only barometer of a successful economy continues to piss me off.

I’d actually respect them more if they were honest about the situation vs trying to continue to BS the American people. We’ve had two straight admins try to BS their way around the state of the economy, and it’ll continue to be the primary issue people vote around until someone actually takes it seriously.

OK then fine. Give us a metric under the Biden economy we can say was clearly better than anything we have now?

Pick anything, gas prices, inflation, consumer confidence, energy, affordability, interest rates....doesn't matter. Give us one measurable, defined, statistically comparative metric we can line up from Biden's economic disaster against Trump’s economy (either so far or even from his previous term btw) and reliably say it was better under creepy Joe.🤔

Just one please? Your choice.

How about CPI. Where was it when Donny took over and where is it now? I’ll even help you. Donny took office in January 2025.

The annual inflation rate for the U.S. in January 2025 was 3.0% before seasonal adjustment. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.5% on a month-over-month basis. Core inflation (excluding volatile food and energy) stood at 3.3% year-over-year. [1, 2, 3, 4]

And today? It’s at 4.2%. A increase 📈 of 40%. That’s better?

I respectfully asked you in a previous thread to stop posting me because you never respond with facts and just spout Left wing talking points. But I'll try one more time with you.

If the CPI was better under creepy Joe, post the side-by-side factual comparisons. I can easily look it up for you, but I want you to look it up and post the factual, reviewable, verified results.

From AI sources

"Core CPI (Consumer Price Index) is a measure of inflation that tracks the prices paid by consumers for a standard basket of goods and services, explicitly excluding food and energy costs. It is used to reveal long-term inflation trends by removing volatile, short-term prices."

The best side-by-side measure is to look at the numbers after Biden's term and after Trump's first term, (since his second term is not yet complete). However if you want to compare 2 years currently into Trump to the first two years under Biden, that also would be a fair side-by-side measurement.

Simply taking a current snapshot from when Trump re-entered office, to today ignores the short term effects recent developments have had on the CPI, which can't be fairly measured long term against Biden’s final numbers for his entire term. Trump's numbers will likely change from where they are today from when he assumed office two years ago, as the CPI itself is only a snapshot measurement of future economic activity.

So as I said, the best comparison for a side-by-side analysis is the end of Trump's 1st term to the end of Biden’s term. Or if you can't prove your point using that metric, compare Biden’s first 2 years to where Trump is today 2 years in.

I doubt you will answer this, or provide the actual factual numbers because your whole purpose in even brining this up is to try and demonstrate Trump's policies have failed.

That is both factually and observably untrue as any objective analysis of the factual data will easily show.

So I'll wait to see what you come up with? If you do not answer me, then I will reiterate my request for you to stop posting me because you once again will have demonstrated why I asked you to stop wasting my time with you in the first place.

I just posted FACTS. I guess the data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics is Fake News Too!! 😂 You’re a JOKE. And in typical MAGA fashion, you ignore the FACTS and pivot to your chosen MAGA news sources. And to cite Core CPI is BS in this case because it excludes Food and Energy. Energy prices are the HIGHEST in 4 years due DIRECTLY to Donny’s War. Other Presidents were smart enough not to attack Iran, they were not Israel’s stooge, because they KNEW this would happen. Donny was too arrogant to heed the good advice of others MUCH smarter than him. I guess we should remove the cost of the pandemic from Biden’s numbers too. If you want me to stop replying to you, then I recommend you do the same.

Just damn man. Are you illiterate or just plain ignorant? This was YOUR post after I challenged one of you mind numbed bots to give us YOUR CHOICE of a Trump economic metric that's worse compared to Biden:

@Cheers said:
"How about Core CPI. Where was it when Donny took over and where is it now?"

So not only did you not provide the measured, verified, factual statistics I asked for, now you're claiming that the very measure YOU called out to meet my challenge, is not the best measurement?😆

@Cheers said:
"in typical MAGA fashion, you ignore the FACTS and pivot to your chosen MAGA news sources. And to cite Core CPI is BS in this case"

Oh really? 😂

That was YOUR metric! I actually cited no "MAGA" sources when I issued my challenge for one of you bots to cite any metric of your own choice to prove it was better under Biden than where we are today with Trump. So ironically, you're calling out your own chosen metric as "BS". What a maroon! 🤣

Now I mean it. STOP POSTING ME. Not only are you an ill informed Left wing loon, you can't even defend your own specious arguments! I sincerely regret even attempting to answer you or give you enough credit to at least back up or prove your deranged assertions about Trump, but you have thankfully confirmed my initial decision to stop wasting my time with you so I hope you at least accommodate my request for relief from your immeasurable stupidity.

But, since you asked consumer confidence is at all time lows. To @Cheers

I apologize, I did not see the numbers you posted in # 97 before I responded to you in # 100, but even with that you STILL didn't make your case.

As a matter of fact, using your own numbers, the CPI measurements you offered showed a decrease from when Trump first re-entered office to where they were a year later! 🤣

(from your quoted sources)
The all items Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers increased 2.4 percent over the 12 months ending January 2026, after rising 2.7 percent for the year ending December 2025. A year earlier, in January 2025, the 12-month change in the all items index was 3.0 percent.

Now even an 8th grade math student understands 2.7 is > 2.4! And 3.0 is definitely greater than 2.7 measured from the previous year! So while it's indeed true the CPI has increased, it's still less than the previous year and significantly lower than it was measured at the end of 2025 when Trump re-entered office! (these are the numbers you provided)

By the way, the 4.2 % inflation number you cited was for overall inflation, not the CPI measurement you called out, so you either ignorantly or disingenuously mixed overall inflation with the CPI which excludes the two most volatile measurements of inflation (food and energy) which ironically you're citing as the chief causes for Trump's current inflation rate overall! 🙄

So amazingly, you either don't understand your own numbers, or you're so dishonestly ignorant and so full of TDS hatred, that you've deliberately conflated overall inflation with the CPI just to try and make your deranged and inaccurate assessment of Trump's alleged economic failure on inflation.

4.2% inflation is almost 3 full percentage points lower than creepy Joe's lowest inflation numbers, and is roughly half of what inflation was at its peak under President "auto pen"

So you're dead wrong no matter which metric you use! Once again, I do apologize for accusing you of not providing at least some statistics. While you never offered what I asked for, you at least tried even though you obviously can't analyze your own statistics.

Now, I promise...this is my last post to you. You give me a headache.

You're prematurely bashing Trump. Let's get through the Iran conflict and see what happens. Pedo-Joe sucked *** for four years. Trump's first year was very good and could have been much better, if not for the left's corruption.

Give it a damned chance, for crying out loud.

Just the border alone, beats anything Pedo-Joe did or what Commie-la could have done. And the left is fighting against it tooth and nail. Go figure? Why? Do you have an opinion?

They're deranged and desperate @30CAT my man. Unable to offer anything superior to Trump's policies on the border, inflation, even Iran...they've resulted to nit picking any little blip they can twist into a perceived failure.

Notice how you always read criticism of Trump's policies, but you never hear any one of them offering better alternatives? Never. If this Iran deal is signed and carried out, what will they criticize next once gas prices come down, the economy starts an unprecedented boom and there is relative peace in the Middle East with the World's #1 sponsor of international terrorism thoroughly defeated?

They will never give Trump credit, but they'll probably start complaining about how much the conflict cost, and what we could have done with the money instead. Funny how they never ask that about all the billions in fraud we're investigating and prosecuting on the Left?

They're hypocritically nauseating.

Not only do they not offer anything better, you never hear them call out the disasters of the left's polices either. They only desperately search for anything to bash Trump over. He can't even clean up crime and grime in Washington without them bitching about it.

His administration is finding thousands upon thousands of missing children brought across the border by the cartel, under Biden’s open border policies, who were sexually abused and they don't even credit him for that.

Trump stood up to China, Russia and Iran, where those before him wanted to, but lacked the sack. He stood up to NATO, where we have been getting ripped off, blindly. His administration is shutting down massive fraud against us taxpayers, all across the country and the left is fighting against it!

When I see these board bleaters bash Trump and completely ignore what the left is doing and what Trump is trying to do to fight them just totally blows my mind.

Trump isn't perfect by any means and he has made his fair share of mistakes, but he is the best damned president we have had in a LONG time, who truly loves his country and citizens.

Well stated @30CAT, Trump’s results they can't factually argue against, so they simply criticize his tactics or his intentions, or his rhetoric. They never give him credit for his RESULTS which in part you have given some excellent examples of here.

Why not?

Ans: Because they can't since it exposes their own policy failures or lack of better alternatives.

Just damn man. Are you illiterate or just plain ignorant? This was YOUR post after I challenged one of you mind numbed bots to give us YOUR CHOICE of a Trump economic metric that's worse compared to Biden:

@Cheers said:
"How about Core CPI. Where was it when Donny took over and where is it now?"

So not only did you not provide the measured, verified, factual statistics I asked for, now you're claiming that the very measure YOU called out to meet my challenge, is not the best measurement?😆

@Cheers said:

Good Lord!
Thanks for changing my post. I said CPI, you changed it to Core CPI. Nice move. 👍Conveniently extracting Food and Energy prices from Donny’s numbers to prove your point is typical MAGA Manipulation. And since it’s still Biden’s economic numbers, even though we are in YEARS 2 of King Donny’s reign, the pandemic started during Donny’s administration so he clearly caused all the supply issues and resulting inflation associated with that. Right? Remember Donny blaming the Chinese for the WuHan Lab leak? So using the Biden MAGA (Make America Gullible Again) logic, Biden was saddled with Donny’s economy and it took him 4 years to bring inflation down which he did.

Changing the wording in my posts is a new low for you but not totally unexpected. Nice try.

Not only are you stupid but a bald faced liar! I changed nothing in your original post. I was quoting you directly and YOU went back and changed what I quoted! (I missed your numbers reply to my original challenge, but the time stamp on your original response to my challenge which I quoted verbatim was changed twenty minutes after you first posted it...liar) 🤨

Besides, your numbers still don't show anything worse under Trump now than it was under Biden, inflation, the CPI, energy prices, nothing! It was all worse under Biden and your own numbers prove it!

Now I mean it, stop posting me. You can keep on because it's an open forum, but you will never see another post from me to you because you are ill informed and a bald faced liar.

Good bye.

I’m not gonna build an excel table for you bro. Not wasting my time. I just stated an example as you asked.
Fine don't build it. No matter what you show, or lie about, nothing in Biden's economy was better than anything going on with Trump now. Nothing. He was a loser and so are you for voting for him.

Fact.

Well, currently, CPI isn't even half as much as Pedo-Joe's high. Also, the conflict with Iran directly impacts CPI. You aren't looking at the big picture and you also refuse to acknowledge the failures that are Democrat policies.

You're looking like a fool. It's almost as if you enjoy that.
Biden handed Don an improving economy. Inflation was under control, approaching the Fed’s 2% number at 3%. We are now at 4.2% and rising. Don handed Biden a mess with the pandemic, a destroyed international supply chain, and skyrocketing inflation. Biden got prices under control and handed Donny an improving economy. And what does Donny do? Implements 10-50% Tariffs on American Companies and foolishly does the bidding of Israel and was tricked into starting a war with Iran. And here we are today. Lol

Yes, when Don took office, the CPI continued on its downward path as it had been on for months. Biden handed Donny a strong and improving economy. And Donny got power hungry, became an Israeli pawn, went to war, and screwed it all up. And he still hasn’t resolved the Russia Ukraine war as he promised nor has he offered a replacement for the ACA. He was quick to get rid of “Obama Care” yet has done nothing to provide his own (better?) alternative. More Facts.

You're prematurely bashing Trump. Let's get through the Iran conflict and see what happens. Pedo-Joe sucked *** for four years. Trump's first year was very good and could have been much better, if not for the left's corruption.

Give it a damned chance, for crying out loud.

Just so I’m clear, at what point should we start to establish accountability for the economic fallout as a result of foreign policy failures?

And, I must’ve missed in my responses where I mentioned anything positive about what Biden did. Not sure why we keep coming back to that. The “but DeMoCrATs” crowd can’t help themselves.

The Iran conflict affects everything you are trying to point to. It will end soon enough and I'll be watching to see if you give Trump credit for what he has accomplished.

Yes. We took a hit. But in the end it will be worth it. Trump did what those before him were scared to do. Trump has made the world safer by confronting Iran and he has made us safer by shutting down Biden’s open borders. It’s going to get better. Someone had to fix this and thank God Trump had the guts to do it.

Now we need to shut down sanctuary cities and put the cartel in check. Trump is doing the dirty work all others were afraid to do. Obama and Biden strengthened our adversaries, increased crime and put a chokehold on our Healthcare.

Sit back and watch. Be patient. America was in deep decline when Trump took over.

Specifically what foreign polices of Trump's have failed? Tariffs were working until lawsuits shut most of them down.

Our foreign policies before Trump made us a world-wide laughing stock. We were getting screwed by everyone. We were being taken advantage of.

The left was destroying our energy sources and our military while our adversaries were being enriched and their militaries were being strengthened. Iran was getting ever close to having nuclear warheads and the policies before Trump were helping Iran achieve that.

When were our foreign affairs better than they are now? Yes, military force and wars are terrible, but sometimes they are necessary.
