I will wait for Hell to freeze over before I hear one idea from your worthless, wasteful, whinny, two faced party that improves on anything you're bitching about today? :sneaky:

You have the nerve to be complaining about inflation, high gas prices and interest rates after what we've been through under President "auto pen"?

Remind me what party he belonged to?
And that’s exactly my point. You all are Faux Republicans. Turncoats, Johnny-Come-Lately’s to the Republican party. West Virginia was perfectly happy to vote Democrat as long as the pork 💰 kept rolling into the state. Case in point, Senator Byrd. West Virginians loved Bobby, and kept him in office for 57 YEARS because he brought money, jobs, and hope to the State. In fact, he was the longest serving Congressman/Senator at the time at 57 YEARS. And he’d likely still be there today if he hadn’t passed away in 2010 which not surprisingly corresponds to the year when WV squarely became a Red state. The Republicans, mostly Trump, promised lower environmental and other mining regulations and more drilling, and that was good for the State. 💰 And as I’ve said many times, I get it. People vote with their wallets. So voting Republican now (no more “Porky” Bob) makes complete sense, but WV as a Republican state is a new phenomenon, a Johnny-Come-Lately, not a long-standing heritage.

I don't live in West Virginia, but here in Georgia a similar "transformation" occurred in the mid 90's when Republicans won the Governorship and then took over the State Legislature. Before they did, Georgia was in debt, high taxed, losing jobs, poor schools, terrible roads, just among the worst States in nearly every metric measured.

Fast forward now some two decades later under solid G-O-P leadership. We closed this fiscal year with a nearly 14 billion dollar surplus, and they recently mailed out REBATE checks to every Georgia taxpayer. It's like the 3rd or 4th year in a row too!

We have school choice vouchers here in Georgia, and our schools are outperforming almost all other States, we have one of the most favorable business climates in America, some of the best roads and bridges in the South...and we're leading the country in new business investments, particularly for hi tech and manufacturing. It's the exact opposite since we kicked out our "tax and spend Dems".

Again, I don't live in WV, but I suspect they have a similar record to tell under GOP leadership since they got rid of worthless Democrats...lower taxes, slimmer budgets with fewer deficits...more business growth and school choice. Here in Georgia, there are serious proposals to actually eliminate income taxes all together, along with freezing or eliminating property taxes (similar to Florida & Tennessee). That's in fact happening all over the South too, and ALL of those States now considering making those changes are also now solid Red. (Republican)

The bottom line...Republican policies work. Democrats who are still in control in high tax Red States are steadily losing businesses, their schools are failing, they're running massive budget deficits, and folks are leaving in droves. Pick a Blue State, and they're likely losing residents because of high taxes, budget deficits, poor schools, crime and failed policies.

What's happened in West Virginia is being replicated across the country, and your worthless party has nothing better to offer anywhere except more whining just like you're doing here. :cautious:

I'm not from West Virginia, I went to College there. I grew up in New York State (also run by worthless whinny Democrats) and it's worse! After I graduated from WVU in 1979, I left for Texas, (1981) then moved to California. (1988) I left that Democrat sh*t hole too and moved my Family here to Georgia, and just about the time I did (mid 90's) we went GOP and have not regretted it for one minute.

Ok, maybe not you, but the state as a whole is a Faux Red State. A Johnny-Come-Lately. However, you have aligned yourself with extremists.

As for me, I have voted for the Republican Presidential candidate NUMEROUS times, more than I have for the Democrats. Yes, I voted for Obama, Biden and Harris because I think Trump, and his MAGA constituents, are horrible for this country. They have isolated us in this world, destroyed long-standing relationships with our allies that has kept us and the world safe for decades. He is an incompetent, boorish, law-breaking, narcissist who only cares about lining his and his family’s pockets. Did you hear him yesterday? When he said he doesn’t care about rising inflation, that this is the best economy ever, and rambled on about the record stock market levels? When he speaks, he sounds like a babbling fool. I loved his comments about the “very fast” drone speed boat. LMAO. 🤣 The guy is a dictator who does the bidding of the uber-wealthy radical right. I will GLADLY vote for anyone who takes a moderate, intellectual and thoughtful approach to governing. Party be damned. I vote for the BEST qualified candidate, not party. And Donny is NOT it. He’s just the opposite as his economic numbers show as does his lack of intellect and diplomacy in dealing with the rest of the world.

Rather than wasting my time refuting your Left wing bot inspired anti-Trump diatribe, I'd like to respectfully ask you to articulate one or two "better" policies you'd be willing to support that are superior to Trump's policies?

You were very clear about what you perceive to be Trump's policy failures, however I'm not reading what you're ready to vote for (or have voted for) that worked better?

Thoughts?

So why not a vote for Hillary from you?

You always put the burden of proof back on me instead of debating my points. However, here are a couple. Tarriffs. As witnessed by our rising inflation numbers, his tarriffs are hurting Americans. Withdrawing from the United Nations. The UN may not be perfect but they are our allies and have been since WW2. I am all for others doing their part to defend and support themselves, making changes as needed to make the Union better, but to simply withdraw and abandon them, and further isolate this country, is Bad Policy. And he’s threatening to do the same with NATO. Now I’m sure you’ll gladly refute My Points because I have done the work for you.

He told me all I needed to know about him when he said he voted for BOTH Harris and Obama. It honestly wasn't worth even extending an offer to dialogue because that vote was about the most uninformed anyone claiming to be "informed" could make.

The good news is inflation has a long ways to go to get as high as it was under Biden the majority of his time in office. If Harris would have won it would be back in double digits.

First off, I don’t owe you an explanation for anything. My opinions and positions are my own. I am not programmed to automatically vote party lines like some of you. I forgot Hillary. Yes, I voted for Hillary for the same reasons I voted for Harris. Not because I thought either one was a great candidate, they weren’t, far from it, but I thought, and rightly so, that they were better for this country than Dictator Donny.

Not only will I refute them (with unassailable facts) I will once again challenge you to offer what policies are either superior or have offered better results?

On tariffs, you have not spoken of the literally billions in new revenues thet have been added to the treasury, not to mention all the new business investments! Prices on average have increased, but most of those were due to ongoing inflation, and NOT directly because of the tariffs.

(According to daily U.S. Treasury data, tariff revenues rose rapidly in 2025. For the full (calendar) year, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security collected $287 billion in customs duties, taxes and fees, up 192 percent versus the prior year. Roughly a third of that amount ($97.5 billion) was collected in the fourth quarter alone, which was an increase of 5.2 percent compared to the previous quarter and 281 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2024.)

(A quiet revolution is reshaping American manufacturing as foreign companies invest billions of dollars in building factories on U.S. soil, not out of patriotic sentiment but as a calculated strategy to circumvent the complex web of tariffs that has defined trade policy over the past decade. This “tariff dodge” phenomenon has unleashed an unprecedented wave of foreign direct investment, with over $200 billion committed to U.S. manufacturing facilities since 2022)

(Because most retailers sell from existing inventories that entered the country before the new tariffs took effect, it is unlikely that the goods sold within days of the announcements had yet incurred any additional duties. At the same time, the firms didn’t raise the price of goods to cover the full extent of the tariff rate in one swift move but rather implemented a series of gradual and incremental changes.)

So you are dead wrong on the tariffs as measured by the hard data which I have provided to you here.

As for NATO...last time I looked the Alliance is still intact, and in fact has never been stronger! The only real difference is now for literally the first time since its inception, they are paying more of their own way for Defense which is actually saving American taxpayers.

("If we look at Trump 47, what happened in the last couple of weeks is really staggering," Rutte said of recent defense commitments. "The Europeans countries are spending a package of $800 billion on defense spending.")

Nato spending pledge is Trump's biggest foreign policy success, Rutte tells BBC

excerpt
In an interview with the BBC, Mark Rutte said it was thanks to Donald Trump that Nato was "stronger than it ever was", adding that Trump "is good news for collective defense, for Nato and for Ukraine" the alliance's Chief said.

So, once again by simply regurgitating Left wing media TDS talking points, you have misunderstood and mischaracterized Trump's policies and their subsequent successes. That's understandable...you're nothing but a Left wing bot, incapable of independent thought.

OMG. DHS Sec. Markwayne Mullin reveals some children trafficked across the Democrats' border say they were R*PED *600-700 TIMES* "I don't care who you are...liberal, independent, Republican, if you can't STAND for law enforcement to find these kids, WHO ARE YOU?!"
💯
"We found 146,000 kids so far. 146,000 kids. We still have nearly 300,000 missing. We're investigating reports to where some of these kids claim that they were r*ped 600 to 700 times." The Democrats hear this and either don't care or want to pretend it's not happening. Traitors.

To your point, Trump gets virtually zero credit from the Left for stopping the illegal human trafficking of minors across our once open border. Hell, he gets no credit for shutting down the border itself!

Remember what it was like under President "auto pen"? Literally millions of illegals just pouring into the country...unchecked, unvetted, and unverified. What is the better policy Leftists like @Cheers voted for? Why are they silent now over how effectively Trump has shut down that once open border?

Instead of giving him credit for that, they complain about ICE rounding up and sending the lawbreakers back!

(btw I'm still waiting for that bot @Cheers to tell me what policies on either the border or anywhere else are working or were better than Trump's current policies? Silence) :cautious:

"We have mayors like Mamdani in New York who want to say you're not welcome, as a mayor he knows what's happening on the streets. That's the point! While bots like @Cheers whine and b-itch and moan about Trump and his alleged policy "failures", you get zero from them either defending what they voted for under Biden, Obama, et all, or who's offering policy proposals or better results than what we're seeing right now under Trump?

The only sounds you will hear from them when challenged to offer something better than what we have now under Trump is crickets.

The only sounds you will hear from them when challenged to offer something better than what we have now under Trump is crickets.

They are mad because Socialism is taking a beating in our Hemisphere. Probably a good chance they haven't had legitimate elections in awhile.

WOW! Right-wing presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori just RE-TOOK THE LEAD the close Peru election, the right is RISING across Latin America She's now LEADING her leftist opponent after narrowly trailing, and nearly 99% of the vote is counted
👏🏻
Time for Colombia and Brazil to go right-wing next! Leftism is FALLING in the American hemisphere!

As I’ve said to you, I’ve not lived in WV for a very very long time. I actually never voted in WV, so not sure what you’re suggesting.

The people of WV shifted their voting under Obama when the core platform of the Dem party changed which threatened WV’s core values. In general, WVians believe in individual liberty, gun rights, religious freedom, strong national defense (per capita, it’s one of the highest % of veterans), limited immigration, and a total energy solution. The Dems went hard, hard left under Obama and reshaped the party, it left WVians without representation. It wasn’t WVians that changed, it was the Dem party.

Before I respond to this, I’d like to point out a couple of things because in an earlier thread, you accused Trump of being a dictator. To that, you cannot point to a single thing he’s done which would qualify as that, that you haven’t also been ok with under Biden or Obama. For instance:

Under Obama:
1. Bulk surveillance of the US populace by the NSA (Snowden blew the lid off of this) - the largest and most egregious violation of the constituency's 4th amendment rights in the history of this country.

2. Russian Collusion: This was worse than watergate and it was all a lie. A weaponizarion of the IC against a rival political opponent, culminating and growing to an attempted coup.

Under Biden:
1. Forced vaccinations on the populace - now proven to be ineffective
2. Forced lockdowns on the populace - proven to be ineffective
3. Pay for play - Abusing his position for personal wealth for him and his family as proven via Burisma, and the corruption of Ukraine
4. USAID - funneling and laundering hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer dollars through dark money NGOs back into domestic Dem aligned coffers.
5. Lawfare - Straight banana republic behavior of coordinating a DOJ attack strategy on a political opponent.

I could go on and on for both of these individuals that have exceeded anything Trump has done.

You talked about Trump pulling us from the UN, first, that’s not a factual statement. We pulled out of several agreements and groups within the UN because they were counter to US National Sovereignty. This was mostly tied to the Human Rights Council and the Energy Independence, which the UN was trying to govern for the world in the latter’s case. On the HR Council, it was frankly anti-US and Israel, with some of the world’s worst offenders of Human Rights being on that council. It was a joke if you followed it at all.

Tariffs: You are tying the inflation to the tariffs. That’s just factually inaccurate. First, we’ve generated, before the courts overturned it, far more revenue to offset their impacts. It also drove record investment into the US from outside countries through bilateral trade deals. Tariffs were the stick to influence foreign investment and purchasing of US products to offset their tariff response. It’s easy pickings for the low info crowd to attack, but this was an amazingly effective strategy.

Moreover, on Trump being a “dictator”, can you point to a single, just one instance, of Trump not respecting a court ruling? He absolutely used the Presidential Directive authority granted with EOs, but when those have challenged or paused, he’s relented to the guidance of the courts and used the appropriate appeals process.

Back on inflation, that’s being impacted by the conflict with Iran and the straight of Hormuz being shut down. As soon as that’s open, gas prices are going to bottom out. The cost of goods, the cost of materials, the cost of produce will fall drastically. Fuel prices drop, the cost of shipping goes down, the cost of shipping drops, everything drops. And to the point, inflation under Trump hasn’t come close to touching Biden levels. So yea, I’m fine with where everything is at present and the long term plan. Additionally, there are a whole host of other things the admin has done which are amazing and needed to happen. The assault on Fraud for example. The shrinking of the Federal Govt last year and getting rid of useless agencies within the Govt. all good things. Ending DEI, which was a racist and illegal policy. I again could go on and on, but the reality is, Trump has been the best President in my lifetime, hands down. Is he perfect? No. Has he screwed some things up? Sure. I’d actually rank it, Trump, Clinton, Reagan right now. Obama was one of the worst for the internal US health and his foreign policy was abysmal. Biden was probably the worst President we’ve ever had on every tangible metric.

Dictator? Explain that one.

How are socialist and communist policies, with open borders, better than Trump?

Trump's victory has, at least temporarily, saved America. Just closing our borders made Trump worth my vote, but he brought so much more.

Besides the typical, "she's not Trump," what policies of Commie-la were you drawn to?

As always so well stated (and factually accurate) Face it, that chat bot can't handle the facts that refute every one of his "talking points" . He will go into hiding before we hear a point-by-point factual refutation of either what you have offered countering his misguided diatribe, or what I offered him in hard numbers to refute with the alternative factual numbers.

He's a chat bot. That explains everything else in this pointless thread responding to his Leftist programming.

Also, don't forget Obama's attack on coal, promising to shut it all down. Continued under Biden. And what has happened to Healthcare costs since Obamacare? The exact opposite of what he and his cohorts claimed and promised.

The left has changed dramatically. We can't afford them and America as we know it will cease to exist under its power.

I was born and raised in WV. Not once...not ever...have I voted for racist Byrd. I'll never forget a quote of his:

"Their are white n*****s too!"

WTF was that all about?

Not only was he a racist, but he was horrible for our state. The last Democrat I voted for, and I did it twice, was Bill "Balanced the Budget" Clinton.

The Democrat party left West Virginians.

We didn't just start voting for the right. We have always been conservatives/moderates and the Democrat party used to mostly be as well.

Commies and socialists have totally taken over the Democrat party and bleaters just aren't keen to it. They are loyalists, country be damned and that's what makes the left so dangerous and dangerous they are.

Totally forgot about the ACA disaster, thanks for reminding us. Fact is exactly as you stated. The Democrat party and its "bleaters" like the OP chat bot, have been totally co opted by Commies and Socialists. Rather than defend their misguided policies, they blame Trump's policies but never have offered better policies or better results.

I agree with you 100%. If these folks ever regain power, America is finished. Let's make sure that never happens.

Cheers

Good Lord, you don’t understand tariffs, do you. 😂 The Treasury is FULL because the American people are paying the majority of the tariffs through increased prices. Tariffs are just another word for TAX. The Treasury is FULL because you’re paying Higher and More Taxes. lol I’m glad you support higher taxes. You’re a true American. Wow! Too funny. 😂
