But now, without the DVR clock, I never know what time it is! I'm old, and I don't know what time it is.
We just cut the cord ourselves and I unplugged the cable box last night and now we don’t have a clock either lol.

There's actually a really good hack for that...

Posting on a message board, so obviously using either a phone, tablet, or computer. All three have visible clocks at the top of the screen.
Well I know that, but that requires more effort than just glancing to the right of the TV.

Seconded. I've tried Vue, Youtube TV, Sling, Hulu, and DTVNow. YouTube TV is by far the best. Vue is really good but expensive for what it is.

Never mind. F that. Youtube is raising my bill by $15 to $50. I'm switching to Hulu or Vue. Both are comparable for about the same price. But I'm switching as a matter of principle.

We just switched to a combo of Sling ($25), Netflix ($11), Prime ($99/yr?), all on Comcast business cable ($59/month for 75Mb/s unlimited data) with Roku devices for wireless streaming (apparently, we'll be adding HBO on Sunday for GoT's final season).

We honestly don't watch enough local TV to warrant anything else.

In October, we'll add the sports package back to Sling and undo HBO.

YouTube TV still the best for the $$$. Not going to be worth it. VUE or HULU will raise prices soon enough anyway.

If they are, it's not by much. It's nothing to cancel one and subscribe to another. Price wise Hulu will be $5 cheaper. I'll be losing AMC, BBC, MLB Network but gaining A&E and History. Not a bad trade off since I have MLB.tv through T-Mobile.

I considered Sling. We watch a lot of locals though. It comes down to do I want to get an OTA DVR. We do have Hulu though, so we can just about get everything we want to watch there on a delayed basis. I might reconsider my decision. I just know it's not going to be YTTV.

I think you used to be able to stream them through March Madness Live. I'm not sure if they still do that? Anyone know?

Only with a provider that supports it. I used my mom's Spectrum login and got to watch the games on TBS, TNT, and TruTV with the app on my Roku (can't watch the CBS game unless on mobile device). Without the login you only get like 3 hours or less of free use. With SlingTV I had 3 of the 4 channels covered. Only needed the app for TruTV.

Yall do all of this to save $20 bucks then end up struggling to watch some games. Doesnt seem worth it to me. I could do it in the summer, but not during basketball/football season.
First off it's way more than $20 dollars that I save. Nearly $100 per month. Also I don't miss any games. I end up catching more games than I did with Directv. As others have stated I can watch every game across the country on replay when I want. I couldn't do that with Directv. I would need to individually record each game and then still couldn't do that because you would run out of space on the DVR.

YouTube going up saves me money. I was getting Philo for $16 a month to get the Discovery channels, now I can cancel that. Hate losing A&E, but I think i can watch LivePD thru the A&E Roku app.

First major glitch in the chord cutting. With 30 laps to go in the coca cola 600, YouTube TV cut to a screen saying "this show is unavailable for internet viewing" or some such thing. If this happens again, or becomes a trend, well, I'm gonna get pretty mad.
