62. All on my list were/are great backs. Elliott and Barkley played big in the big games. Both have breakaway speed and power. Both are doing great in the NFL.
Marcus Allen wasn't a blazer. He almost always had a first round pick (or two) on his o-line. In all fairness, so did Elliott.
Well I'll take Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson and Eric Dickerson all day long including Sunday's over Elliott and Barkley as those 2 can't even come close to holding a candle to Barry, Bo and Eric as all 3 had home run speed and played in much bigger games and all 3 are legends. Not only did those 3 tear up College Football, they also tore up the NFL which Elliott and Barkley can't even come close to claiming. I'm not taking anything away from them one bit as they are good, just not those 3 good. Just sayin'62. All on my list were/are great backs. Elliott and Barkley played big in the big games. I don't know man, I gotta give it a tie between Sims and Marcus Dupree. LOLMy favorite OU running back.
GOAT is an opinion and we all have one. The first poster's opinion however is from someone obviously young and does not appreciated College Football history at all! Not sure of any of his names are in the top 20 or top 10 or for sure NOT in the Top five!!!!!!!!!!
george no--he wasn't even the best in 95. elliot--no emmet smith really good but not top fiveNot seeing it for Eddie George. Maybe that’s just me though.
No Payton?
Both college and proBarry Sanders is the best RB of all-time.

You missed Frank Solich on that list...In no particular order:
1. Jeff Kinney
2. Mike Rozier
3. L.P.
4. Ahman Green
5. The three headed monster of 'Lighthorse' Harry Wilson, Kent McCloughan, and Bobby Hohn in one backfield.
I'll admit to a smidgen of bias in my rankings, but then I'm a Husker through and through. Heck, I even bleed red.
Eddie George stole the Heisman from "Touchdown Tommie Frazier"...or did LP knock him down?I can't believe someone said the words "Eddie George".
