Yup. He had his players sit and watch, and then they all shook hands. Major class act thing to do. Always liked him.Izzo brought his team over to meet Vivian a few years ago, saw that video.

Can't believe you want to compare the two.Tough isn’t yelling at players. Is a man who verbally abuses his girlfriend or wife tough?
All I know (meaning I suspect) that there is a whole generation of coaches who leaned from coaches who learned from coaches who went through boot camp because they were going to WAR. Actual war.
I thought the "F" was pretty clear.. unsure on the "YOU" part... is that when the player got his third foul or was that something else?I was surprised to see Izzo shout the "F YOU" at Gabe Brown, so I rewound my DVR and sure enough, that's what he said. That's their best player, who was breaking out of a slump in the game.
But then I thought, I couldn't see what Brown said on his way to the bench that made Izzo react. He probably was complaining about something, maybe a ref non-call or something one of our guys was doing, and Izzo was ticked at how the game was going, so *boom*.
If players still want to go play for him and he keeps winning, he's not going anywhere. He is as safe as can be until that happens, or unless video emerges of real physical abuse of a player.
I love Izzo and I would let my kid play for him. But your point is valid. He should change his on court demeanor a smidge to adapt to the times. This is 2022 and not 1990.
Society has changed (thankfully) and it is no longer acceptable for a person of power to yell **** YOU. He has pushed people and raised his fist to his players all in front of the world to watch. Here’s what I find odd — people with sensitivities who want to impose them on someone else. I never had an issue with a coach yelling (and even cursing at me). Did it make me mad? Of course, but it also motivated me. Perhaps it doesn’t motivate someone else. Well, guess what, I’m not saying that every coach should yell and curse at every player. In fact, a good coach knows what it takes to motivate his/her players.
It wasn't the player who picked up three fouls, and it was going to a TV timeout.I thought the "F" was pretty clear.. unsure on the "YOU" part... is that when the player got his third foul or was that something else?
Maybe he said oh Fuc. ........then started a new sentence. You should have done this or that.
This has to be the most hypocritical thing I have ever seen.
Maybe i'll start watching the NBAMaybe he said oh Fuc. ........then started a new sentence. You should have done this or that.
That was. like, two years ago, man!
This has to be the most hypocritical thing I have ever seen.
