What's troubling is that The Athletic is a respected media agency. How those clowns were hired is more troubling.
This! Here's the other problem. Since pretty much everyone has some kind of podcast now ( and I have no idea who actually listens to something like this) there's really zero pushback with facts. The Athletic has some great writers but some of these podcasts are insanely bad.

All this started was bc BroD said I didn’t think she was to 10 earlier in the season. It was a power ranking. I thought she was 5-10, and to be fair there were 5-10 players that started much better than Clark. She didn’t really get back into her current form for another 2 weeks.

currently my opinion is she’s top 2 or 3 depending on the night.

She is the WNBA's only current generational talent. We will never see anything like it again.
Now you are definitely just trolling. You must enjoy embarrassing yourself..

I caught a little bit of MN vs ATL and Miles is so casual about carrying the ball I think it somehow fakes out the refs.

She was dribbling in the corner when she just pinned the ball against her hip for a full count before she let the ball fall again. Maddening, I say!
That’s a good way to put it, she’s very casual about and tries to be flashy at the same time which results in multiple travels and carrying the ball that don’t get called.

Cmon. you know what I mean. Several of "the old guard" were either injured or played hardly at all in the games. One of the women on the roster had been out pretty much the entire season before the Olympics. What was Taurasi and Griners contribution other then to say "she's a 6 time gold medal winner". Pretty sure they could have filled the roster quite nicely with a few younger players and still won the gold. Several of DT's former team mates had been asking her why she was still playing at 42. Wouldn't really surprise me if being the only female basketball player to have 6 gold medals was part of that.
You have problem with the selection process. Join the crowd, it’s semi-rigged. But players, esp. HOF players, are not going to self-reject the Olympics, nor should they.

Can't even fathom the Aces winning and Wilson not being the reason so gotta take her over the team.

Fever's lack of production from those other than the Big 3 makes me think the only way they pull it off is of CC has multiple absolute monster nights, so will probably put some there as well.

Gray played in only 27 of the 40 games in 2024 and pretty sure most of those games she missed were injury related going into the Olympics.

She missed the first 12 games of the season and then played in the next 12 games (+ All Star game) leading up the Olympic break.

CC is 4th at 20.1 ppg

Looks like Stewart was averaging 19.99 after her first three seasons. Wilson was at 19.4. Cooper averaged over 22, but was a well established professional when the WNBA was started, hardly a rookie.

Augustus holds the top spot for first three year average at just over 21. Her scoring dropped a lot after her first four years as she got older and Minnesota got better teammates for her to lighten her load.

Needless to say, Clark is in good company there.
