***CC22 and the Fever mega thread***

[IA79Cam]

I am sure you have a link to this rule as well, right?

There is a link to it being called.

These breaks are pretty good for the WNBA. For a few days in a row, we haven't seen a player, coach, media member, league official, say or do something incredibly stupid.

It came down to Clark and Mitchell with Mitchell winning as she did in July. Mitchell averaging over 28pts/GM and breaking the record for consecutive 20+ games was the deciding factor. Still I personally could have seen Clarks 24+/GM AND 9.4 assists/GM as an even better month. Unfortunately I think we'll see the same thing in the MVP voting, and their mutual excellence will put them against each other in the voting with Wilson winning comfortably.

Ope nvm

[Rifler]

I was just going to post this as well….. Yea there will be some awkward relationships between her and her Caitlin hating teammates….. she’s an Illinois kid so Chicago is home but that organization overall is definitely a mess right now

I doubt that Kate would claim Chicago as "home",... Edwardsville is more of a Saint Louis town.

This is why unless they hop teams like LeBron, neither Paige nor Angel are winning titles any time soon, unlike Caitlin.

Pretty common with Angel Reese.

[Jonesy5960]

Pretty common with Angel Reese.

It was actually attributed to Monica McNutt.

What I mean is that it's pretty common for people to make up quotes about Angel Reese in general. But it's also common for people to make up things she says as well. It gets people riled up.

afm22 is probably Monica McNutt

Why did a certain someone get T'd up for it, and others didn't?

Disrespecting the game was the call.

Should of earned it with a F you to the officials.

No. They would have suspended her for the season.

Whose one of the biggest Clark detractors on "that" network.....

Please be true. Need a strong commissioner with a strong bb background to move this league forward.

This is great news depending of course on who the W replaces her with. Basically "the devil you know". It does seem hard to believe they could bring in someone who would do less with all of this growth potential. Hopefully the NBA will have some guidance on where they should lean. but who knows.

It only dawned on me as my phone was getting blown up with updates that the game would be early because it's overseas.................

Not sure if FIBA has a reckless closeout flagrant foul but that was a reckless closeout.

Good grief; check out China's size:

Caitlin Clark had 14 points and 11 assists to help the United States beat China, led by 7-foot-3 Zhang Ziyu, 94-61 in its women's basketball World Cup opener Friday.

Rhyne Howard scored 14 points and Jackie Young added 12 for the Americans, who have now won 31 consecutive World Cup games dating back to a loss in the 2006 semifinals.

China paired Zhang with 6-10 Han Xu in the third quarter, presenting an even more potent defensive wall against the U.S. China got within 53-37, but no closer as Clark, Bueckers and Reese helped spark a 17-5 run to close the period.

Clark, Howard lead U.S. rout of China in women's World Cup opener

Caitlin Clark and Rhyne Howard had 14 points each in the United States' 33-point win over China to open women's basketball World Cup play.
