Too bad it took 4 years for Nike to get a Caitlin Clark signature shoe to the market. Might have helped out their stock price.

Idiots.

The 4 year timeline of Caitlin's Nike partnership:

Oct 10, 2022: Caitlin's initial NIL partnership with Nike started.

Apr 23, 2024: Caitlin signed an 8-year endorsement deal with Nike worth a reported $28 million. This contract, one of the most lucrative in women's basketball history, included a signature shoe and apparel collection.

Sep 29, 2026: Caitlin's debut signature Nike sneaker, the Nike Caitlin 1, is expected to launch, with broader releases during the 2026 holiday season. The shoe will feature a full-size run, including adult ($140), grade school ($115), and preschool ($105) sizes.

I think some of you are actually over rating the talent of the Fever vs other teams. If there are 15 teams in the league where would you rate their Power Forward position? In CC's 1st year they had Smith, who was actually abysmal. Last year Howard really came on and for some reason they let her go. Billings really had not much of a resume and unfortunately has been way way worse than expected. She would almost have to be rated 13-15 out of 15 teams. Boston, CC and Mitchell are all probably top 3-5 at their positions I'd guess, and Hull is a nice role player but she's a middle of the pack player if we're honest. While CC and Mitchell are dynamic offensively, Mitchell really struggles as she has to guard bigger players and CC as we see doesn't love defense. Boston is very solid as a 2 way player but they currently have zero backup for her and she can't continue to have to play these kind of minutes.

The more I watch the Fever the more I realize how bad of basketball the Women's game is.

you can do everything right as a coach only to have players dribble the ball off their leg, miss wide open layups, or have the perfect pass go off their hands.

when Clark is done playing so will be my WNBA watching.

they should play Laurel and Hardy music in background.

Too late to lower the rim but maybe they should make the ball smaller.
The one thing I'll say about lowering the rims is that the women's game can already be dominated by athletic bigs given how it is more of a floor game than a vertical game like the men's. And women across all levels of basketball play are infinitely worse at boxing out than men, despite trying desperately to make it an even more physical game than the men do.

So lowering the rim would only give a greater advantage to a player like Aja Wilson and nobody wants that........

This was discussed in the offseason. The Fever front office made some truly head-scratching roster decisions and did absolutely nothing (well I can't say that because they DID something alright) to help their front court.

They willingly destroyed their post depth and did nothing to truly fix it, all while stuffing their pockets with guards who weren't going to make much of a difference.

But you can't claim they were actively trying to sabotage their own roster though...........................meanwhile, we keep hearing all these rumors of front office tensions with members and their true feelings about Caitlin Clark.

So is it incompetence or intentional?

They don't get the benefit of another option just because the roster they do have finds ways to make it work in spite of their efforts (think Major League, the movie).

CC should just abandon the 3 pt shot. For whatever reason it seems not to be happening for her at this level. Can max possessions and increase efficiency by focusing on the rest of her game.

???? Didn't she set the rookie record for made three's? This has all happened since her injuries last season and teams are still playing bully ball with her.

Who should they have signed (and keep in mind that player has to want to sign with them)?
